I went into party city to find some things for a friends bridal shower and i heard an employee named George speaking poorly of other workers which i found really unprofessional and this isn't the first time i've heard this employee George doing this when i've went into party city. i feel bad for the people that have to work there when someone who appears to be in a lead role is openly speaking poorly about other staff. Party City needs to rethink who they hire because their business isn't being represented well. read more

Went in on a Saturday night during October -- not busy at all. They only had one dressing room for the Halloween costumes (I have been to several Party City locations and they have always had more). The guy there said earlier there was an hour wait. So not worth it. The staff were more into talking with each other than helping out. Apparently you have to flag down the staff, get their attention, silently wait for them to quit gossiping (it was gossip, not work related), and then ask for a costume. At check out, I asked for a military discount (other locations have given me one, so I was asking if they did too). Had to wait and wait and wait for the manager to answer her question. She refused to ask more than once over her walkie talkie thing. The manager only came because of the line. Yes, they give military discounts. read more

in the last week Just spoke with store Manager ASHLEY about the purchase of a balloon for $9.95. I was about 10 minutes from the store when the balloon burst. I didn't have time to go back since I was on 93 North heading to an 18 yr old party. I just got home and thought they'd have no problem getting a refund. Who keeps a receipt for a balloon. She then ask me to provide a time I called. Who knows. She said it shouldn't be that hard to remember what time I call. She was extremely rude and no wonder there was no one on the store. I will call her Manager George on Monday to tell him just how rude she was. Keep the $10. read more

Joseph checked us out today while we were purchasing helium balloons. We first requested to have rainbow number balloons, however they were out of the number we asked for. We asked what other options we had and settled on pink and blue. Apparently Joseph only heard pink, and charged us for those. When we came back to pick up the balloons, we asked about exchanging the color of one of the numbers because we wanted multicolor. Joseph argued with us that we never asked for that. . He then upcharged us for the color change. Very unprofessional behavior and the manager Erik only intervened to tell Joseph to "give us what we want" which was a refund on the upcharge. Joseph did not do that, he only walked away to fill the new balloon and then sent his coworker Monica with it. Monica was very nice and the only person who understood our concerns. But this still gets one star because of the people she unfortunately has to work with. If there's another place around to plan your party decorations at, pick there. read more

Perfect destination if you are shopping for kid party supplies whether for a birthday or holiday. I was here for Halloween decorations and there were numerous options. The merchandise is geared towards children so if you are looking for a more formal or classy look I would go elsewhere. read more

Horrible customer service! I had a plan and I wanted to make sure that Party City would help. I ordered some mylar balloons off the internet and others directly from Party City. They said they would inflate the other balloons for a charge. No problem on my end. When I went in to organize the balloon bouquets, I was treated like I was a nuisance. I wanted the 5 dozen balloons I was ordering to be exactly the same, other than the large letter balloons that spelled out my husband's name! After taking the attitude for some time, I finally asked the associate (I will exclude her name) if it was a problem to help me out. She quickly changed her tone and apologized after exclaiming that she was overwhelmed by the large order (again, I was putting together 5 dozen balloons). On the day of my husband's surprise 60th, I received a phone call stating that they had burst 2 of the 5 letters I had brought in. They said they would replace them, but their letters were much smaller than the ones I brought in. I demanded that they replace all 5 letters so that they were equal in size. About 15 minutes later I received another call stating that they would only replace the 2 that were burst. I demanded that my balloon bouquets looked the same and that I was not going to fight over $10 when I had spent well over $150.00 on balloons and their inflation. When I arrived at the store, I asked for the manager. George (the manager) agreed to not charge me for the letter balloons. Once I got all 60 balloons to my location (2 trips) and set them up, it was time to run and get ready for the surprise. After returning to the surprise location, I realized that instead of inflating and putting together each dozen as I had requested (12 balloons were in each zip lock bag), they simply placed 11 balloons plus the letter balloon in a hap hazard way. I was so extremely disappointed, but there was nothing I could do at that point. I was unable to do anything about it (i.e. call or even go to the store) all weekend as this was a surprise WEEKEND for my husband with over 40 people visiting from out of state. Granted, Monday I rested after all the work and Tuesday we were snowed in with a blizzard, so I called the store to explain the final mistake I had to deal with. I spoke with "the manager" - a woman, who seemed sorry for all the hassle, but when I requested that due to all the hassles and mistakes I wanted a refund, she passed me back to George (the manager) who was rude and dismissive. He claimed he had "dealt with me" 3 times on this order and if I was dissatisfied it was too bad because I should have checked each balloon bunch before leaving the store. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION AGAIN. IT IS WELL WORTH THE DRIVE TO GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION TO BE TREATED WITH THE RESPECT THAT ANY CUSTOMER SHOULD RECEIVE. GEORGE - YOU NEED A LESSON IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!!!!! Even if there was a compromise or an offer of "your next balloon order free - up to 12 balloons" - SOMETHING that showed there was true regret that this process was littered with so many screw ups....but no responsibility was taken and that shows me that there is no concern for the customer!!!!! read more

I had been looking for an admittedly rare party theme for weeks. Called iparty/party city and without a beat of hesitation the store clerk said they had it. I asked if she was sure and she was. Living over an hour away from the store I waited until the weekend and headed down. Imagine my surprise when after spending the gas, tolls, and my time they no longer carry it. Does Party City have new owners? My experience with Party City in Manchester NH was the worst service I have ever had with a company. The Managers are so rude to their customers. I went in on 6-25-16 to order balloons for my daughter's graduation party for the following day and I witness the Manager being rude to the customers and myself as well. I left the store feeling very frustraded with the how I was treated. I thought to myself, everyone has a bad day and in the past I was satisfied with the service at Party City. The following day I picked up my balloons and Instantly a few including the Mylars flew away because they did not tie the string tight enough. I paid $62.00 on balloons between them flying away and popping this was such a waste of money. When I asked to speak to the Manager so that I could get the balloons that were ruined,refunded to me, she was rude and refused to fix the problem. I had to leave to host my daughter's graduation party and I was so frustrated once again as I left. The WORST service I have ever received! read more
