I am so happy that we have an activity that includes arts and crafts in KC, especially in the city. We decided to do a stenciling project, on a tote bag and a canvas. There were so many options of things to do such as a hat bar, candle making, and even something for the plant parents. We tried the milkshakes, which were $14, which they have 8 different variations. It was super fun, and I highly recommend this place for all ages.

Are you ready to get crafty and have some fun?? Look no further than Creative Culture in the Westport area of Kansas City. We experienced a ton of paint splattering fun! We were given layers to cover up our clothes, eyes, & hair before we went into the paint room. While we were in there, we painted our own canvases...while getting to throw some paint at our friends! Along with throwing paint, you can make your own hat, pot your own plants, design wall art, create tote bags, & paint your own plates, bowls, cups & more. Creative Culture is the perfect spot to visit for a bachelorette/bachelor party, birthday parties, and more. We also enjoyed milkshakes stacked to the brim with goodies! We all tried different shakes: The Treat Yourself (chocolate fudge), Hello Lovely (strawberry cheesecake), Life of the Party (birthday cake), and It's Lit (s'mores). If you are looking for unique and artsy fun in Kansas City, Creative Culture is the place to visit!

My family and I had an incredible experience at Creative Culture! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and fun. We had such a great time designing our own hats. There were so many creative materials to choose from and the staff was super helpful in guiding us through the process. It was the perfect activity for our kids as well as us. We loved seeing everyone's unique creations come to life. To top it all off, the milkshakes were absolutely amazing--delicious and over-the-top. Keep in mind that this activity can get pretty pricey, but it is well worth it! If you are into creative activities, this is definitely the place to visit as a must-visit for families or even a nice date day/night if you're looking for a fun and memorable outing.

Honey, listen to me when I say I do NOT like milkshakes. However my boyfriend insisted we get The S'more's Milkshake to add to our experience, and when I tell you I'll come back for just the milkshake, I mean it! mind blown! The studio was incredibly set up. The supplies provided are all you need and more to create whatever you have in mind. Genuinely the coolest place, awesome employees and overall an experience that we will never forget.

Can there be a more attempted look of a milkshake than this? It looked so amazing and sure it's big! The taste is very rich but yum Really fun concept shop, you can visit with friends and family and the same time work on different creative projects! Wish there would be some shining color for the pottery painting!

I love this concept!! I've been wanting to go to Creative Culture for so long. I loved pottery painting places as a child and this really scratched the itch. They have pottery you can glaze (takes 2 weeks and you pick it up later), wood boards with stencils to paint, wood art with nails and thread, premade kits, and a plant pot bar! I chose to do the plaster art where you spread plaster on canvas and paint it, and my friend did a wood plank painting project. I thought the pottery prices were a little high ($50-70 for the adult items like vases, plates, colanders) but the painting projects were cheaper. Be warned - if you use the acrylic paint the dispensers have a long range!! We both got paint on ourselves lol so hold the cups close to the dispenser. We split the cookies and cream milkshake - YUM! I'll for sure be back to paint something else.

Booked a party here. My daughter and her friends loved it. Got to be creative and enjoy some mega milkshakes. These things are their own art creation.

What a cute and unique experience! There are so many projects to pick from--- canvases, ceramics, plants, wreaths, etc. The milkshakes are just as pretty as pictured online. We love a delicious instagrammable dessert! The artsy atmosphere was relaxing and fun. My only critique would be the price. I chose the KC Skyline for $45, which seems a bit steep considering it was a DIY project. All they give you is a piece of wood and a stencil. For that price, I would expect some sort of demonstration to go with the project.

Came here with my cousin a couple weeks ago during an extended visit to see them. Lots of art project options, tons and tons of ceramics available, fun and giant specialty milkshakes and good staff. Air conditioning was also good and bathroom was clean. We got the coffee milkshake and two art projects. We were there about 90 minutes and it was a great afternoon activity. It was reminiscent of DIY Bar in Portland, OR. My cousin made a bag which you can choose the paint for and Pom poms string for. I did a flower, triangle string decorative art thing. They gave me the flowers and string but I could paint the wood. They also give you clear instructions on a laminated card.

Brought a small group of friends who love to do crafty things, we had a wonderful time.

Fun! Love the craft project concept where all the supplies are here. Target take take care of kilning and cleanup. And the milkshakes are decadent and wonderful. I can vouch for the peanut butter chocolate one and my friend's S'mores looked amazing. Fun way to spend an hour or two :)

We had a super fun experience here today! It's the most fun you could have multitasking eating a milkshake (yes I said eating) and crafting. The price was reasonable for what you get. I think the one place there's room for improvement is the kilninf process. They didn't tell us upfront and we actually had to ask what the process for getting our pottery baked. Yes you can get your pottery baked but you'd have to come back 10 days later to pick it up. It seemed inefficient for the overall experience.

My biggest issue with the last time I came here a year ago (also for a kid's party) was that the person working the party in general did not seem like they liked children at all, and was not kind or helpful. This time, however, things could not have been more different. The woman working was so great with the girls, spoke to them at their level, helped them when they needed it, and was honestly a joy to have lead the class. Totally changed my perception of what a birthday party here can be like, and made me more excited to come back someday. I keep eyeing those ceramic trees you can do there so I'm sure I'll be back at some point!

I've been to Creative Culture twice now, and loved it both times!…read more The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and answer questions clearly so there's no confusion about what to do or where to go. They also keep the space clean and organized, which is no easy feat given the nature of the business! The selection of crafts, while a bit pricey, is excellent. I've found that if it's in budget (you can find info on pricing on their website), you can find something fun for just about anyone. And regarding the price points, to me it does make sense given the cost of materials and labor involved. Whenever I go, I always leave room in my budget to add the suggested tip for the employees since they do such a great job and deserve to be paid well for it. Their specialty shakes are also AMAZING! Seriously, the price point they're at makes sense considering all of the extra goodies that are piled on top of the shake itself, and they're delicious! Just be sure to grab a napkin or two if you order one since it can get a bit messy. My one complaint, if I can even call it that, is that when it's especially busy it can be a bit cramped trying to walk around between the tables. That said, it's not bad enough for me to dock them a star since they use and manage their space well, and when I've been there people were generally conscientious of their surroundings which in turn reduced potential problems. All in all, Creative Culture is a bit pricey but very fun and well run! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a unique place to go for a celebration, special occasion, or even just because. I can't wait to go again someday!

There was a 2-3 week wait for our clay painting pieces to get finished to pick up, but that's reasonable. Highly recommend this as a cute date or activity spot! It does get a little busy, and you may be sitting right next to people you don't know. But it didn't feel too cramped or crowded still, and it's perfect for chatting if you're up for it! And to add since this is something I often look up as well. LGBT friendly, we felt safe and comfortable.

We came for a half price studio feed which ended up being $4/ person. Aside from the below average customer service the facility itself smelt incredibly unpleasant. It smelt like a sewer the whole time and the smell never left the whole 90 minutes we were there. Pieces range in all prices- I think they're standard compared to other places. I'd come back if the smell wasn't so potent.

You can't see the options and feel intrusive squeaking by painting customers while they're focused on their pottery. We had some miscommunication on availability of the pottery item we were looking for - coasters/tiles. The employee "helping" sent us off to try and find the item we were looking for rather than assisting us. 2 - Service is bleak at best. These kids don't have any customer service foresight. We were never checked on during our almost 2 hours spent painting there. 3 - Majority of the paint pens were not functioning. Many paint cups were very low volume or empty. No one seemed to be servicing the supplies. 4 - The birthday party in the back space was poorly managed. Back in the day they used to have a host and distribute paints to the kids at the table. I was shocked, and annoyed the kids were allowed to go up and select from all the larger paint selections for the whole shop which continually caused traffic jams for all customers. Being next to the paint area was stressful with lots of people constantly moving around us. On another note, there was no party host from the employees other than getting the kids their pottery. I can't imagine tipping for that "service". 5 - Speaking of tipping - tip apparently is included in any purchase here?? There wasn't an option to enter $0.00 into the CC machine. We had 8 tiles ($7/each - [shocking... and I guess shame on us for not asking how much each cost] + 2 studio fees (a rip off considering we collaborately painted 3 of our 8 items). Our total was $90. HAVING TO pay 15% tip FOR NO SERVICE was bitter icing on a crappy cake. Honestly, not sure I'll be back.
