My Fiance and I hired Mat for our (second round of) engagement photos, after our first photo shoot with another vendor left us with zero images we actually liked. Needless to say I was a little nervous going into our shoot! Mat did such a great job of putting us at ease. He came prepared with an image book of other engagement shots in our same location as inspiration, and multiple cameras to capture all kinds of photos. He even went above and beyond to capture pictures of our new puppy and some candid moments. He was incredibly accommodating with outfit and backdrop changes throughout the shoot too, which gave us so many looks to choose from in the end. When we got access to the gallery of our edited images just a few days later, we scrolled through and couldn't believe that each one was better than the last. When I showed my office some of the pictures they thought I was trying to pass off stock photos from a wedding website! Now we're left with the opposite problem- we have so many great pictures to choose from, I can't possible pick just one for our save-the-dates! Mat was really excellent to work with. After some change of plans, I needed to push my surprise Boston proposal forward two weeks. When I reached out to Mat, he was extremely quick to respond and made the process very easy. Immediately, Mat proved to be extraordinarily helpful in planning out the logistics of the surprise shoot. We are expecting our first child and were looking for a photographer who could capture the maternity photoshoot. I reached out to Mat and within a few hours had a response with his availability. After a few email exchanges, we had narrowed down our location of shoot and the best time to meet. Mat was very flexible with the time/location and was also very responsive - he asked questions from preferred poses and shots to getting to know my husband and I through pictures. We met at the park last Saturday and had a turn around time of 24 hours for all the photos. The location was beautiful and Mat captured all the shots that we were looking for. He had examples of poses that he wanted to capture. His photography speaks for itself and tells an amazing story of our pregnancy. I can't say enough good things about Mat. I wanted to propose to my girlfriend in the Boston Public Garden and he made every step of it so easy. Mat kept constant communication to assure that I understood everything that we needed to do, even down to sending me a detailed map of where we could set up and exactly where to stand. He was also really flexible with my schedule. I initially wanted to do it at 6:30pm but the weather wasn't cooperating and he was accommodating enough to let me delay it until the rain stopped. The photos themselves are absolutely amazing and the quality is outstanding. He caught all the special moments including the candid shots as we walked up to the spot where it would happen. Mat took 45 minutes with us after I proposed to take photos around the Garden and finishing up at the picturesque Acorn Street. Amazing photography experience! Mat exceeded our expectations! I contacted Mat to shoot family photos of my parents and sister, my husband and myself - along with our two dogs and cat. He was completely willing to work with us and our fur-babies, and even came to our neighborhood to make things easier. The shoot was fantastic! I've hired photographers before, and I'm not ashamed to admit I've paid 2-3 times Mat's rate for photos that are sub-par in comparison. This guy is skilled and talented. Every part of dealing with Mat was easy and stress-free. He even allowed me to check out the finalized pictures before submitting any payment. Photo-shoot with Mat was wonderful! We were looking for guidance and direction from him and he came prepared with shots in mind that he wanted to achieve. He worked very hard to get results with a 3 year old and 8 month old- not an easy feat. We got more comfortable as the shoot went on and got some of the best images of the girls when we were on "break" and everyone was just doing their own thing. The most amazing thing was that he returned our images all edited the same day!!! Very affordable (included all digital images in his pricing) compared with other photographers in the area and I am confident that I am just as happy if not more satisfied then going with a photographer double the price. What can I say about Mat other than AMAZING!!! I originally scheduled him on the wrong date and then asked that he change the original Saturday appt. for Friday night only 2 days before the planned proposal. We contacted Mat for an extended family photo shoot for my mother's 80th birthday. He did so much preparation, we were able to get all groupings we wanted quickly and efficiently.
