The consist turn around of directors is a very telling sign that something is very wrong! 4 directors in 2 yrs! This child care facility is extremely understaff! For example, The assistant director is also the lunch lady. The current director is the queen of gaslighting any general concern a parent may have and lastly the most disturbing of all, often classes of different age groups of children are combined making the ratio of teacher to student above the state level requirements. I worked here for a few months in 2022 and I can honestly say it was the best job I ever had. The people that worked with me, who were the teachers and teacher assistants, were some of the nicest people I ever met who I will never forget. The director, Cristina Bastone, was the most professional boss I ever had and she is the perfect example of what a professional workplace should look like and I have never worked at a job since the daycare center that was that professional. The teachers are patient and it is such a calming environment and I would recommend anyone who is looking for a daycare center in Brewster to please go with this one! read more

We were very happy with the teacher in my toddler's room (2year olds). She was happy and the teachers were just awesome! We decided to register our 3 month old. Ohhh was it different! They did not follow ratios and would mix older kids in the infant room. My baby was bit on her first week. The director would just ignore the issue time after time. Also when confronted about the ratios she would just state that they were about to "move" to the other class. The teachers are good but the management forces them to do things they don't want to and results in neglecting the children. read more

My son Noah and daughter Olivia have been attending Creative Kids since they were both a year old. My son recently turned four and my daughter is going on 3. They both look forward to going to daycare everyday!! The atmosphere is amazing and the teachers are great, can't ask for anything more. Thumbs up to them all!!!! If you're looking for an over crowded place that treats your child badly then this is the place for you. This place has a few good teachers, but also some very bad ones. Please check the https://ocfs.ny.gov/main/childcare/ccfs_template.asp before placing you kids here. Almost all of the centers have serious violations against them. I wish someone would've given me this advice before I made the mistake of sending my child there. They can't even go against this as the proof is right on the government website it's all legal and accessible info. Please make an informed decision. They were even cited for hiring bad people who by the way are all still currently employed there, even after the center was cited. It's like the old saying all that glitters isn't gold. read more

Firstly, I'd like to say if you want a facility that's more about the child and not about $$$, then look elsewhere. I have never cared to write a review that would in any way bash any business of any kind. I take great pride in supporting local businesses by giving them business and then writing great reviews about them, but this experience I have had with Creative Kids and how they conduct business has left me with no choice but to write this review. I believe they do not value client relationships, but rather their $$$. I began full time work last year so I registered both my children for aftercare last school year. My older one was nearing the age cut off so I took her out and kept my younger one there till the end of the school year. During this time, I have had two separate issues with this facility. They are, in my most honest and personal experience, as follows: 1. The way one after school care staff conducted themselves. I placed two complaints about the staff member who made it difficult for my kindergartner to enjoy being there after school hours. She was loud and rude with the children, made them feel uneasy and less eager to want to be there after school. Although, they claim she was spoken to and warned, the temperament and nasty yelling, as my kids called it, continued on. 2. Before summer and the end of the school year, we were give registration forms to apply for the following school year. I had a schedule change for the summer and a switch to my hours for work at home starting that summer, but wasn't certain if my new schedule would follow into the new school year. And because it was unclear if my new schedule was permanent, I didn't want to pay a registration fee of $118 dollars, which was non refundable. I explained my concerns and spoke with their director, Stephanie on several occasions. Neither time did she provide me with proper information as to what I should do. She just talked to me about registering and the $118 needed to hold a place in the new school year. Since I wasn't sure what my schedule would be like, I told her I will instead not register and lose a fee but opt to have our two week deposit for which we paid that year ($152 to be exact) held so if we do have to come back, and if they do in fact have space, I could apply that deposit to the new year. She didn't do her part to advise me properly and tell me this couldn't be done. I trusted her and the relationship I had from the past in good faith, and left my deposit. She never lead me to believe I had anything to be worried about. By mid July I found out my schedule and knew we wouldn't need to be back. So I called to request my deposit back, and she and her staff suddenly claimed they didn't know what I was talking about. Worse, the owner ignored my calls and messages for 3 months! I emailed 2x and she then claimed she emailed me back. She never did! Finally after 3 months I was told I didn't place a request two weeks in advance and is why I lost my deposit. I explained to her and her staff that I had a different conversation and trusted them in good faith as they were aware that our plans were not certain, and that I would contact her by summer. Needless to say I'm uncertain if I'm more upset over my ignored emails and calls or the fact that they held onto my deposit and claimed it was my fault for losing it. Mostly, I am upset that all of my attempts to speak with the owner was ignored, and I only got confusing and deer in headlights responses from her staff. She didn't even bother writing back or calling me herself. She didn't feel the need to communicate at all and gladly claimed our deposit even though her staff was misinforming and more importantly, undermining my many attempts to collect what I left behind in good faith. Never again! Recently, I placed my younger one back for 2 days of after care at a wonderful facility. They DO NOT charge late fees every week and their staff is wonderful with my kids. She enjoys being there. read more

First, the teachers are great. Let me make that clear. But that's where it ends. Ownership and upper level management care solely about the cold, hard $$$$ and will nickel and dime you for every penny you have if they can get their greedy little hands on it. For example, their policy is that if you want to do an early drop-off one day, you need to provide 24 hours notice or they will charge you a $20 fee on top of an $8 per 30 minute rate. What?!? Have they never heard of an emergency? We had 3 children there at the time and had a work emergency, which was only advised by the company at the end of the business day. This required us to drop off 30 mins earlier than our regularly scheduled time. They charged$8/30 mins per kid and $20/kid since they were not advised 24 hours ahead - we were charged $84 for the 30 minutes! What type of company (that you are a loyal customer of) penalizes for having emergencies? We have no problem paying the rate, but to be penalized $20 per child is absurd. Their favorite mantra to hide behind is their "policies," which are among the most ridiculous I've ever heard of. Just when I thought suspending my 15 month old for biting (yes, you read that correctly - they banned him from daycare for 1 day, but they gladly still collected $ for that day) was the most absurd "policy" I've ever had the misfortune to deal with, they went and proved me wrong today when they advised me that it is their "policy" that they are NOT RESPONSIBLE for our childrens' lost or misplaced items, even in instances (such as mine today) where THEY THEMSELVES are admittedly fully and completely responsible for losing those items. So BEWARE. If you send your child in with anything, even the minimally required clothing, etc., you may very well never see it again and DO NOT expect ownership to step in and do what's right by you, the paying customer. read more
