They have several interesting and somewhat unique elements that I've not encountered at other hobby shops: (1) They have constructed a steep rock adorned grade to radio controlled cars and trucks to attempt to navigate; (2) They have a long dedicated drag strip for side-by-side drag strip racing; (3) There is a large oval slot car track in the back for slot car racing. Not sure what the size/gauge cars the track is for. It's clearly for larger than AFC style/size cars. Looked to see what they had in the way of O-gauge train cars. Toy Trains! Model Kits! And all the other art sets, car tracks, European and Japanese toys and "Stuff." You know how a modern store just has people behind the counter? Hobby Works has staff walking the floor to help you. And they really help. And they know their stuff. And when you're there, it's got that friendly clubhouse atmosphere like you stopped off here while walking home from school in the 6th grade. Sometimes it feels like with online shopping, kids won't ever experience the friendly local stores like we did. Not while Hobby Works is open, it's all modern, but it's a shopping experience that most stores lost over the years- and our kids deserve to experience that friendliness.

GREAT TIME!!! We came for a friends 30th birthday it was a group of 15 of us. We were able to do…read moremultiple courses over the 3 hour session. Everything was spaced out perfectly, we were able to take breaks in between. The paintballs DO HURT your skin may welt if you don't layer up good. Don't wear leggings ladies. Or if you do wear some sweats over them. It'll also help so you don't dirty up your car seats cause of the extra layer or just put towels down. Tips: Knee pads Bandana or something for sweat and holding hair back Layer uppp 3 hrs will require more paintballs $15 for extra bags Bring a small backpack and water Wear athletic shoes you don't mind getting dirty and you can run in For a 3 hr session it was $53 a person.
