My mother, sister and mother-in-law were all very involved in the project, so there were a lot of personalities (conflicting ideas, etc). Vinnie was very patient and conscientious, fielding everyone's concerns and always following up. When an issue did arise, he made sure it was truly made right, even if it meant giving me a call after hours. We were all so stressed and he really took care of us! I am excited to have them come back to do more work for us in the future. Also, should note the guys actually doing the work were great too - did great work and left the space so clean! She provided me a few designs / price points to choose from and I found them to be transparent with their pricing. Remodel stayed on schedule, which was huge for us. (I was 7.5-8mo pregnant at the start of the work, so I was concerned about timing) The quality of the work seems to be high, no issues so far. Their crew was pleasant to have in our home. (Respectful of napping toddler, pets, friendly, clean! etc.) Scotty, our project manager was great. Other reviews comment on them being overpriced, but unfortunately any quality home re-model will be expensive these days. Their selection is unmatched--Rancho Gordo beans (a cult favorite and nearly impossible to find in stores), beautifully designed Kinto mugs from Japan in every size and color, locally milled flours from Maine, and even Rhode Island classics like Wright's Dairy coffee milk. They have it ALL! Every corner of the shop is thoughtfully curated with the best culinary goods, and the variety is second to none. There's no place on Hope Street I enjoy being *whisked away into more! Danielle was extremely knowledgeable, and put us on the right path with regard to our budget, design expectations and really helping us to understand how the entire process works. Right from the beginning, we knew we had reached out to the right company. Then came the build process, in which we were fortunate enough to work with Steve Costa who not only juggled a third-floor walk-up, a building from the late 1800s, but also an extremely pregnant woman who was keen on getting this project off the ground and completed as quickly as possible. Steve led a fantastic group of NKB employees and subcontractors, but I would be remiss to not give a special shoutout to John and Mike who were our dream team carpenters, kitchen décor experts, and mental support during the project. Our dog clearly misses Steve, John and Mike as they became best friends it seems during the project. Additionally, Kelsea from the PMA team was a huge help in keeping the schedule/accounting on track for us. We were THRILLED with the final product (photos attached), and we are so very thankful for all of the hard work of the entire NKB team to bring our dream bathroom to life (before the baby, may I add)!
