We recently contracted Norfolk Kitchen & Bath to do a complete renovation of our master bathroom, and we could not be happier. From the initial design process with Danielle we felt at home with her guidance, and she made the entire experience fun and enjoyable. Danielle was extremely knowledgeable, and put us on the right path with regard to our budget, design expectations and really helping us to understand how the entire process works. Right from the beginning, we knew we had reached out to the right company. Then came the build process, in which we were fortunate enough to work with Steve Costa who not only juggled a third-floor walk-up, a building from the late 1800s, but also an extremely pregnant woman who was keen on getting this project off the ground and completed as quickly as possible. Steve led a fantastic group of NKB employees and subcontractors, but I would be remiss to not give a special shoutout to John and Mike who were our dream team carpenters, kitchen décor experts, and mental support during the project. Our dog clearly misses Steve, John and Mike as they became best friends it seems during the project. Additionally, Kelsea from the PMA team was a huge help in keeping the schedule/accounting on track for us. We were THRILLED with the final product (photos attached), and we are so very thankful for all of the hard work of the entire NKB team to bring our dream bathroom to life (before the baby, may I add)! Our design person was good; however, the installers were a problem. There were a number of glaring errors throughout (scheduling, coordination, project management, install errors, did not follow the design plan, etc.). Completion took more than twice the time they estimated. Once completed, the electrical system would not function. We requested the issues be fixed so the kitchen could be functional, but Norfolk Kitchens refused. They acknowledged the electrical problems existed, but stated because they were not legally obligated to remedy their poor workmanship because it was "up to code". Apparently new electrical systems don't have to function properly to meet "code". In our instance, Norfolk Kitchens failed to do work to a standard that resulted in a workable kitchen. We have remodeled 5 kitchens, and we can easily say Norfolk was the best company we have ever worked with. Richard was a fabulous designer. He gave us exactly what we wanted, and we are very picky. Our install team, Rez, Jaja, Kevin and Matt took their time and did an exceptional job. Our private plumber and electrician both commented on the quality of the install and the cabinets. We had a fantastic experience working with designer Torrey Fuller. He designed a beautiful kitchen, three bathrooms, a laundryroom and a dog room for the house that we were building. He listened carefully to how we wanted to make use of each room, and his designs were absolutely elegant as well as functional. He had wonderful ideas for how to combine the style and color of every element - cabinets, countertops and hardware. He went above and beyond to help us, including going with us to choose our countertops, consulting on paint colors, and quickly answering even the most detailed questions. The designer was helpful but service and response timing was too long. The labor estimate was deceptive at best as well as the "discount" for an all-in price. The discount was about equal to the taxes on the cabinets...which I found out through Lowes does NOT need to be charged if the installation is done by the same company supplying the cabinets - its in Massachusetts law. In addition, they were unwilling to break out the labor quote which is unreasonable to me if you're spending $100k. Don't fall for their advertising. read more

We purchased a house and the builder used Norfolk Kitchen. We went into the store to see if we could add some additional cabinets. There was nobody at the front desk and a women designer asked what we wanted. She was so rude and condescending that we walked out. I'm sure that Ben Rosen will respond and say that it was our fault but anyone wanting to do work with them should be wary. CEO should not be on Yelp telling people that his team did nothing wrong and instead should be working on improving customer service. read more

We went to Norfolk kitchen to get some high quality cabinets. There were many issues along the way ( one being the sales person was completely scattered st times) After the arrival of cabinets ( about 20 thousand worth) there is issues with almost every one of them. Although they are ok to deal with thy are not doing what is best for us. Many times they are passing it off to others. What they say and they do are two different things. I was very disappointed with Norfolk Kitchen and Bath. During my appointment the designer was very rude. I kept getting the impression that she assumed I wasn't going to go through with the project, which made me not want to. She kept telling me she was doing me a favor by designing my kitchen on her computer. She also kept touching her mask and pulling it down which made me uncomfortable. What probably shocked me the most was they made me take my own measurements and bring them to the showroom before they'd make an appointment with me. Shouldn't the designer come to the kitchen to see the project? Anyway, they never called me back after my initial appointment. Which proves my point that she assumed I wasn't going to through with the project. It's okay, I found a new place! read more

This is now my 3rd review. I keep getting responses from the owner. But they keep saying the same thing about how they are family owned. I'm not sure why that makes a difference on why I wasn't acknowledged. And based on the responses he is trying to make me seem like I am the problem. Maybe they need a big sign out front of the store "MAKE AN APPOINTMENT OR YOU WONT BE ABLE TO GET CABINETS!" I'm sorry I have had to clarify three times. I stood at the front of the store for 15 minutes while the "front desk coordinator" was chatting it up with another employee. That's when I decided to walk around the store myself. Upon leaving I looked for someone and nobody was around. So no I didn't "forget" to mention this in my review. I was never spoken to! I also "forgot" to mention that the owner probably about two months after my original review messaged me privately and stated that if I remove my review that he would "work" with me and get me a decent price. Two months later doesn't help as we already did our kitchen over with a great company. And you guys made the mistake why should I remove the review? I would highly recommend Norfolk Kitchen and Bath of Braintree. I first heard of them when watching tv and their commercial came on. Their advertisement caught my eye. Upon contacting them I felt from the moment we walked through the doors till the handshake upon completion , the staff went above and beyond the call of duty. I want to give a shout out to Norma, Derek, Steve and Jason. Without the help and knowledge of this team I would have been overwhelmed. I sent an email into there website requesting an appointment to measure at my condo but was told to go to a store first. I visited the Braintree location, upon entry no one greeted us, eventually a women sitting up front said what is your budget, I said $4-6k and she said, "those are over there". No explanation, salesmanship, descriptions, nothing. She couldn't have been more disinterested, if they only want high end kitchen customers they shouldn't advertise "kitchens for every budget". I thought if this is the customer service upfront, what will it be like after I buy and have an issue. I realize it was only $4-6 grand, but I only needed 8-10 cabinets, they probably would have made decent money at $400-600 per cabinet, she never asked to find out. read more

We needed a new kitchen. We saw the NORFORK ad on TV. Last Spring we went to the Braintree, MA showroom and met David Brodin, a Design Engineer at Norfork. David Brodin helped us every step of the way designing the kitchen, including making a schematic of our new kitchen. We had the choice of redesigning the kitchen until it was perfect for us. NORFOLK had samples of several brands and designs of custom made cabinets and hardware in several price ranges, and finishes. We chose a white Cape Cod look with bronze hardware. Another man named Dave Nunes came out to measure our kitchen for the schematic to have measurements with it.. David Brodin sent us to a Granite and tile warehouse, another tile showroom and faucet hardware showroom. We also had the choice of picking our own Granite, tile and hardware companies. We went with NORFOLK almost all the way deciding it is easier to do it with the companies NORFOLK had put together. They had teams of carpenters, electricians and plumbers that worked for NORFOLK and worked with almost perfect timing. You could also adjust what you were doing to adjust the price. Before you gave them any money, A simple contract telling you what you would get and when and when you needed a payment. They also had Wells Fargo to help with financing. Any questions you had about the contract, you could call accounting. They would answer your questions. The prices remained constant all the way. If you added something the price would go up. If you returned something, the price would go down. You can also call to speak with the person who schedules the workers. The process was pretty transparent and and anything that needed adjusting was adjusted if you told them you wanted it to be adjusted. Our kitchen is large, but we got it into the middle range pricing. NORFOLK was the least expensive of the 4 estimates we had. read more

The two women that I have had the pleasure of working with (Lindsey and Stephanie) have been incredibly helpful, responsive, patient, and friendly!!! As part of an upcoming bathroom re-model, I just ordered a custom vanity and linen closet through them, and couldn't be happier with the ordering experience! Our requirements were a bit tricky, and our visits to other showrooms/retailers were leaving us feeling a bit discouraged. On a whim, I gave Norfolk Kitchen and Bath a call (I don't even live in the area), as their Braintree location happened to open on a Sunday. After explaining my needs, I was courteously and patiently taken through a variety of options... all over the phone! I couldn't believe how helpful they were... not only over the phone, but in a series of follow up emails. The installation workers (Kevin, Patrick, Natalia and Resa) and plumbers (Carl and Max) were efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, extremely patient, helpful and excellent at what they do. We wanted a new bathroom. We went to the Braintree store of Norfolk kitchen&bath on a Saturday. Everything was great on that day. We were greeted and helped by a saleswoman, named Danielle. She was warm and welcoming that day. At the end of our visit, she said she could not put in the order for us that day because their computer system was being upgraded. But she said she would put in the order for us and contact us next Monday or Tuesday by email. However, next week we called her and left her message and she never got back to us. We emailed her and asked her about our order and she never got back to us. This is so disappointing after we spent the time with her in the store designing a customized vanity that we like. This is such an unpleasant experience where the customers are ignored and treated this way. We will not recommend this place to friends and family members. read more

My only consolation on this experience is that I hadn't handed any cash over to these people. Communication was incredibly poor. Just getting someone to come to my house took one visit to their showroom and two or three calls. Finally someone came and looked at the job, took measurements and photos. We have had quite a few construction projects done on our old home and Norfolk Kitchen and Bath has by far been the best contracting/ home improvement company I've ever experienced...They have beautiful cabinets, flooring, etc, everything is right there in their showroom or catalogs making things so much easier when it comes to remodeling...After a few years of having many highly recommended contractors look at our kitchen and receiving many estimates ( some outrageous) we heard from a neighbor about Norfolk Kitchen and Bath...I was quite anxious, and somewhat ambivalent about living through more construction. I am so happy we finally did and love our new kitchen and bathrooms! I wish I could thank everyone I met from this company..They were all so patient and kind, dealing with my anxiety, and indecision, as well as doing all the construction during the non stop snowstorms this past winter. Despite having to work and travel in horrible weather, they still finished the job within the estimated time frame.....Everyone from the plasterer to the electrician, were so professional and respectful, worked hard without complaint and made living through construction not so bad..Dave, who did the measurements and estimating also did a beautiful job on the tiling..Jason, the general contractor was incredibly professional with excellent communication skills, always returned our calls in a timely manner , and addressed all our concerns to our satisfaction...Will, the carpenter in charge, was amazing and his carpentry was detailed and meticulous....The person my husband and I are most grateful to at Norfolk is Lindsey, we really would have not gone forward without her...Lindsey was the first person we met in the Braintree showroom...She came to our home, also did measurements, helped us design our kitchen and coordinate the construction and supplies within our budget..She dealt with our back and forth, change orders, frequent phone calls and overall nervousness with respect and patience..Going forward with home construction is extremely stressful but Lindsey helped us through the whole process, and we truly appreciate her kindness and support..This is a great company with excellent professionals that I highly recommend if you are looking into having your kitchen or bathrooms remodeled! read more
