My hair had been breaking too because of chemical poisoning (arsenic) from the last stylist in Italy so I was terrified to have someone else do it. Long story short it was the softest my hair had been, almost like I'm now a baby again. I'm not Dominican and have more course hair but these ladies, all of them love what they do and your hair responds so well to that. My stylist, Carly, reached out to request a photo of my hair so that she was prepared and moved up my appointment an hour earlier to ensure we had enough time. I also provided a photo of the look I had done previously so she'd know exactly what I was looking for. When I arrived, I was greeted by Carly and she was super friendly. The salon looks like a house on the outside but the inside was transformed. The interior is super cute. It's well kept, bright and stylish. The other stylists were so friendly and welcoming. Before the magic began, Carly advised me that my service would actually end up being around $150 more than I was quoted due to the length of hair I have and the product needed. This was definitely disappointing. I expected a variance but not something so drastic, as I booked the service for long hair to begin with. I opted for the partial balayage and it was still more than quoted and over my anticipated budget. That was the only disappointment I had. Other than that, Carly was very professional and she did beautiful work. My hair was the exact shade I was looking for. It was very natural looking. Carly provided information on when to have my look touched up and sent me home with samples of their amazing smelling shampoo and conditioner. Overall, I was very pleased with the outcome. I'd recommend Carly. She did a great job and was fun to talk to!

When she blow dried it and curled my hair - it looked awesome. Then i washed my hair and saw all the flaws. Ive never had a mullet before but it resembled a mullet. Long tail, choppy, un-evened layers. Took a while for my hair to be back to normal. Then i saw a friend who also randomly got a new haircut...i was surprised because she always had her hair perfect.. All of a sudden, she had too, a mullet-like choppy haircut. I asked her who did her hair and sure enough, it was becky from layla salon... If you like the un-even choppy mullet appearance, then book an appt with becky. But i'd like to keep my beautiful hair symmetrical and even.
