The inspection said I did anyway this was about 10 yrs ago. If something like that happened today there would be all kinds of repercussions and consequences. For all involved but this was before the laws changed and social media was used to rightly crucify folk. Needless to say I did not sign that paperwork from the mortgage company scam artists right along with the scheming RE agents no thanks to that dude. I could have sued. I filed a complaint against the mortgage company for racist remarks and that also went no where. Now on the other hand fast forward to the one located in North Philadelphia around Broad and Erie, service is like night and day. Wonderful older woman I worked with for counseling was excellent, she called back when I had questions and told me what to do if I had any problems with any party involved when purchasing a home. That was about five years ago or so. She was like a one woman show. I learned from that experience, go to the next one. Outside of the one dude the services and workshops are very helpful as well as the people who present them. I co-signed on my daughter's loan with One Main Financial. It was for her car. Her car got totaled…read moreand we received the payment from the car insurance. I spoke with the One main Financial Folsom branch who at that time, agreed to take my name off the loan in return for that payment which took care of everything but approximately $800 of the loan. 3.5 years later they are harassing me and dinging my credit report for 3 straight months causing my credit score to go down 100 points. I have gone over and above as a "co-signer" and expected One Main in good faith to keep their end of the bargain and take me off of this loan. Also instead of removing the large sum we paid off of the principal of the loan only, they made sure they also took the interest for the 3 .5 year period and continued to charge interest. I spoke to their escalation department who told me basically that they won't do anything. I found out that they only record the phone calls when they are asking for consumer approval for loans but not on calls at the local branches. This means that they have your "approvals" on a recording but not any promises or conversations to prove that their branch employees are doing and/or saying the right thing. They will continue to ding my credit report as well as my daughter's until this is completely paid. Beware consumers!!!
