The school is awesome but when I drive bye each day the football field look kinda bad so get a new field like put turf in or something to fix that 2 hill of mud because of the sprinklers. read more

Both my kids are thriving and maintain an A level grade. One of them is in band and though he is doing well the person's handling paper and financial processing is a mess. Last year they also made the mistake of not giving my child his band shirt and band sweater. Both where ordered beginning of the school year...and it was already middle of winter. When I called about it..it took several attempts to get a response. Finally 2 weeks after he finally got. Band administration are a mess. read more

My son has been attending CVMS since the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year and I have to say so far I am not impressed. My husband and I have both had issues with one of the teachers. For instance my son was informed his musical instrument had been stolen from the school. After several phone calls to try to talk to the teacher involved, my husband finally spoke with the Assistant Principal. She told him the teacher in question said he had called my husband about the missing instrument, which was a total LIE! No one from the school had called either of us. Finally my husband INSISTED we wanted the serial numbers of the other instruments checked for verification my son's was stolen. They found my son's instrument at the school. His trombone had been given to another student. After a call to the music store we found out they had not even delivered the other child's instrument. A few weeks later I received an email stating some mandatory paperwork was missing. I filled it all out myself and my son said he had turned it all in together with several checks. After checking our bank account and seeing the checks had all been cashed, I questioned the person who claimed paperwork was missing. The teacher involved then admitted my son was not missing paperwork at all; it had just not been processed, yet. Now, I received an invoice for private lessons. What do you know? One of the checks we wrote to the school for the very first lesson is missing from the invoice. This past Friday there was a 6th grade social, and I have to admit, I didn't get to the school until a few minutes past 6:15. I could make excuses, but I was late and admit it. My son was told that morning when he bought his ticket if he wasn't picked up by 6:15 he would be banned from the spring social. By the way, no one informed me of the 6:15 or banned "rule." A 6th grader has no control over his parents. You punish a child for his parent's actions??? According to the school's own handbook a child has to be picked up no later than 20 minutes past an event. The AP obviously doesn't even know what the school's handbook says because when my husband questioned her about the 6:15 "rule" and told her the handbook says 20 minutes past an event, she had the audacity to argue with him. She needs to read the handbook...it plainly states 20 minutes! This school has a total lack of communication between teachers and administration. They also have terrible communication with the parents. This is the most unorganized group of individuals I have had the displeasure to meet!! It's all about the money with them!! read more

The hardest part of being an educator is to teach a lesson in 55 mins to a group of 25-30 students, review their homework, monitor each student's individual progress, spend some quality time working with each of them to make sure they understand the material, come up with different strategies to reteach, monitor instruction to meet each student's individual need (i.e. special education, 504, OHI, ESL, etc.) and have time to get students prepared for their State of Texas Annual STAAR Assessments and/or EOCs (End of Course) Exams. What I love about teaching here, is that I have the freedom to teach. I can go back and reteach or come up with another assessment. I can get to know my students with no more than 8 students per class. We typically do not assign homework, so I am working side by side with students while they do the work. I don't have to worry about the State Assessments because they do not apply to the Einstein School. Last school year (2013-2014) in their 3rd year of operation, 18 Seniors Graduated and ALL 18 WERE ACCEPTED INTO COLLEGE. This school year (2015-2016) is our 5th year in operation and we are now around 100 students and growing. About 5 new students start this week (Jan 5-8). One of our Seniors this school year was accepted into Auburn University last month! If you have a child that just feels like they "don't fit in" or are "lost in the crowd of 30 students in a class" or "feel like their teachers don't help them or care", then visit our school. You can even attend classes for a day or so and just try it out without any pressure. If I was ever going to design my own school, it would be something like the Einstein School. We were expecting him to still be a little emotional as he was still on daily pain medication, but were surprised to be called 2 out of 5 days to pick him up within 2 hours of drop off. I would think that they would have floaters and processes to help a child adjust to a new program. I requested in writing footage of his meltdown with his teacher on Friday, and never received a response. We were then phoned on Friday afternoon by the Director, stating that they were not equipped to provide care for my son and that a refund check for the weeks I had paid in advance would be waiting for me to pickup the following Monday. I requested my application fee also be refunded, and the school has refused. My son is now at day 5 in what was originally our 2nd choice daycare and has not had any incidents. I wish we would have went with them in the first place and not relied on the Primrose name.
