They learned songs ranging from "Louie Louie" by the Kingsman, "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell, and "TNT" by AC/DC. Was I glad I wore earplugs? Yes. Would I sign my kid up again? Absolutely. This happened back in September and we notified Annah about the incident and nothing was addressed. Ever since then, my son has fears about going to AquaKids saying that he did not want to die there. It's frustrating that a place like this would allow things like this to happen. We tried for several months getting him to go, keeping him enrolled hoping he would go. But it hasn't happened.

It's better to wait until the child is older to get a short-term private lessons from somewhere else, then you will see much better results with much less cost. That's why we drop the classes. Also if the child is no longer enrolled, the child can no longer use all makeup classes. It is like you give out the money spent on those makeup classes to the swimming school for free. That could be hundreds of dollars.

We then switched to SSH for a summer and noticed a difference. My oldest son is now in a dual-language elementary program and slowly learning Spanish. My youngest son is starting his second full year at SSH and his Spanish has improved dramatically. I'm confident after this year that he will be fluent in Spanish before he even joins the dual-language kindergarten program. The bottom line is, if you want your children to really learn Spanish, this place is fantastic. I don't want to stop there though, because this is also a great pre-school more broadly. As a result of moving while my kids were young, we have experience at a number of preschools (2 in my old city, 2 in Flower Mound). One of the key features often differentiating pre-schools that leave something to be desired versus pre-schools that are great is the continuity of staff. I expected this to matter but I don't think I appreciated how much. The continuity of staff is obviously helpful at a pure operations standpoint. However, I think think it also indicates how happy people are to work there (which is critically important when you're talking about people working with your children day in and day out). Patty is the head of SSH and has been there a long time. Over the two years now that my boys have been there, I see almost all of the same faces. They all seem on top of it, resulting in great communication with parents and a great experience for the children!

He gives such great feedback to the athletes. It doesn't matter if you're a basic or advanced stunter. They have people of all ranges that show up. Ryan is really great about making his way around to everyone. He makes an effort to learn everyone's name and get to know them. You feel right at home there. In most gyms stunt classes I have to do a lot of coaching with my girls. The people running the class like to stick around the more advanced stunters because that's more "fun" to work with. But Ryan is great and makes sure to work with everyone. It's great when you find a coach who actually knows what they're doing and clearly enjoys what they do! I have an infant and a husband who travels. I LOVE that I'm allowed to bring my son with me. Granted I keep him in the carrier the whole time, I worry about someone stepping on him. But I'm so appreciative of a gym that will allow me to work with my girls and have my son with me! Talk about family friendly! If you're in high school thinking about cheering in college, you're in college looking for somewhere to stunt or you're old like me and just like to see if you can still do a few skills I definitely recommend going here on Thursday nights at 8:15. Most places it is an older dancer that works with them and while it's not necessarily a bad thing, it's also not the most beneficial. At The Dance Space, Tara (THE OWNER) teaches the little ones. WHAT? That's right. I personally danced for 13 years and didn't have a studio owner/director work with me until I was 11 or 12. Plus, Tara has more patience and skill with these children than I could ever imagine. Even as a new student, my daughter was welcomed so warmly. We are so happy here and hope to have a long tenure with The Dance Space.
