Plenty of toys for kids at beach, might want to being a few yard toys for outside around the cabin in cooler days. This is a great location close to sleeping bear activities, crystal mountain, etc. Check out horse drawn wagon rides at local family owned business Fantail Farms LLC! Ten minutes away and super fun! Perfect affordable and private activity for kids. They make sure to point out wildlife they see in the forest and drive by the farms next to the cows. So so fun.

I think there are 3 singles, a duplex and a triplex. I was in Cabin 2 which has 2 double beds, a TV, bathroom, mini-fridge and microwave all in like 250 sq feet (this is a complete guesstimate). There is also a picnic table in the front of each cabin. Cedar Ridge has a tiny cabin game room with various board games, foosball table and various outdoor sporting goods. There is a fire pit (you can buy a bundle of wood for like 5-10 bucks), a badminton net, horseshoe pit and 2 frisbee golf nets. The only drawback is the cabins are closer to the highway than I'd like. You can hear the trucks zoom by while you sit outside by the picnic table. The prices are very reasonable though and I would definitely stay here again.

The place has just 11 rooms; don't be alarmed, the rooms are fantastic. each suite has its own living room, a small kitchen with a stove and small refrigerator, a microwave, coffee maker, sink and all the utensils, cutlery and crockery that you'll need. The owner was very friendly and we enjoyed our little chit chat with him. The place is exceptionally clean given the size of the housekeeping staff. Kudos to them. The beds were well made and looked nice, kinda place I'd like to stay in when I'm on a road trip. The pictures will give a better explanation of this place. There is sufficient parking her and a gas station just next to it with a small store to buy food, drinks etc and the lady at the store is really sweet. The rooms are decorated like a lodge with rustic hewn pine beds. The staff put a goodie bag in each room with bottles of water, treats and traverse city maps and coupons. The rooms also have mini fridges nice TVs and cable. The air freshener is a bit strong but that is minor. We got in super late after our show but the owner waited up for us. He even called ahead to the beer store to stay open for us and started us a bonfire. We had a gorgeous view of the starry sky. We enjoyed the heck out of our stay and since it's pet friendly I will be back with our dogs :)

When the owner mentioned it, I was very disappointed, but once we were there, I was so happy with the opportunity. With any B&B, you're staying in the main house, having idle chit chat with other guests, and sometimes hear people in other rooms. The cabin, you have none of this, just perfect tranquility, silence, and isolation. The owners stocked up the fridge for us and we can have breakfast in our own cabin. It was more of a continental breakfast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, granola, etc..., but it was so pleasant. The cabin is located about 500 feet from the main house and several miles from the main road, and about 8 miles from downtown Traverse City. You really get in the woods feeling without being to far from the city and you have a river flowing through your backyard. It is a really nice place and I would gladly stay there again.

Damon and Angela got us extra mirrors to do make up and hair. Was totally relaxing and got some amazing pre-wedding photos. We came back saturday night to stay, also had some other family stay in another cabin as well for the weekend. They are amazing people always have smiles on their face and accommodating your needs in any way. Coffee is ready and brewed for the guest to enjoy. The owners Damon and Angela are real friendly, and want to make sure your stay is a good one. The cabins are old and may be a little creeky, but the insides are lean and updated with new bath fixtures, new kitchens with new cabinets, sink, counters, stove and fridge. They have been busy remodeling and cleaning them up. They are only 1/2 hour to sleeping bear, Traverse City, or Glen Arbor.They are on the Platte River, and Damon will drive you upstream, drop you off with tubes so you can cruise back to the cabins. There are firepits eveywhere for you to relax quietly, and even chat with neighbors or the owners if you like. There is your own private deck on the river you can sit and relax at, with a fiepit nearby. They told us some great places to go fishing. They have free wifi.
