Our, 26cloud fit right in and it was very cool to see some of the older designs all still being used. Of course, all RV brands are welcome. No motorcycles, golf carts are OK. They had a number of children activities planned for the 4th of July festivities and I even saw a kids Halloween party going by.

My husband and I were looking to…read moreget away for a weekend last minute and after calling around to a handful of places for camping which were all full (last weekend of the Cherry Festival), I reached out to Jerry of Paradise Cove and he was happy to host us. He and his wife, Barb, were so incredibly hospitable and kind - they checked the sites before we booked to make sure they weren't too wet (we had just come off a week with a lot of rain) and that they would accommodate our camper. He met us at the drive when we arrived to make sure we got parked okay (sites are on the smaller side, about 20 feet wide with large trees in between). And he even brought up a fire ring and firewood to our site when we asked about a place to have a fire! As they also own the Paradise Cove restaurant and marina just down the street from the campground, I'm sure they are busy folks and that makes this level of customer service that much more special! Currently the campground is under development, so only a portion of their current 16 sites are ready for use (some don't have electric service and they don't currently take tent or pop-up campers as there are no bathroom facilities). The view of Lake Leelanau from sites 1-10 is beautiful, the road the sites share with the residential neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and it was a perfect jumping off point for the adventures we wanted to have in the Traverse City, Old Mission Peninsula, Leelanau Peninsula, and Sleeping Bear Dunes area. We look forward to seeing how the campground grows and to a return visit!

Staying here two weekends now, very quiet and calm place to stay outside the busy Traverse City…read more Yet very close to the amazing golf courses in the area. We found ourself with a nice campfire and great small Talk with the owner after we arrived from a busy work week. Took a walk through the woods and seen some nice deer and turkeys, did not spot any fish in the creek but peaceful to listen too with the windows open at night.

There are no amenities here. Not even a shower house. There's a port a potty for the whole campground. It's like a giant parking lot with spots on top of each other. We took one look and booked the KOA in Buckley. There's no cancellation policy on the website but forfeiting our fees were worth it to have a place we could do things at our campsite. The best thing I can say is that we called ahead and asked if we could have an Amazon delivery. Our camper fridge died at our previous site so we had a plug in cooler sent to this campground and they didn't mind. Stay here if you need a spot to sleep and don't care about having amenities.

I almost forgot I was in Michigan because all I could see was hills of grapevines while ambient music played on the speakers--it felt like I was in Europe lol. I ordered a glass of white wine and a pretzel that came with cheese and mustard. They sell all their bottled wines inside the store and do wine tastings. I purchased a bottle of their red wine to bring home because the prices were really fair! Fiat was there advertising their version of a golf cart, and I was lucky enough to win the tiniest little speaker from them lol.

My wife and I will get our own but usually mix it up so it's hard to get a flavor just on wetting the lips. The Gammy Nior was always my favorite and has fallen out of favor. Our bottle count has fallen the last year. I hope the vintage improves next year.
