Riders beware before you book READ THIS!…read more We booked this spot based on the website stating "trail access" . I ended up calling due to questions around the permit needed to access trails. I was told to purchase one in town at the Conoco or somewhere else that sells them, ok fine no problem any other places that sell them?? Silence on the phone....crickets...ok ...then I asked about the trail access, hoping to get a site close to it because we have a side by side and I was told, and I quote "oh that trail is very small ", ok, how do we access the the other trails, "I am not sure you would have to call and find out ", really, you don't know the trail system but advertise trail access and have utv/atv pictures plastered on your website. Frustrating. When I said let me speak with my husband we may cancel if we can't access the trails, response was "ok"....huh?!? I mean, your not even going to ask me how you can help or get me a number or I mean just anything helpful? NOPE! She then went on about possible snow at the tree line and that we most likely couldn't ride, but to call and find out, nothing provided to help me find this out! How do you NOT know this, you have trail access? So again, why doesn't it say "seasonal" trail access or a disclaimer to verify trail access with maybe a link or something....anything!?? She then tells me, your UTV has to be licensed, street legal to ride the road to the other trails, but still doesn't know where they are but most likely closed. Small trail map on thier website but when I asked about this trail, wasn't sure if that was a trailhead or the small one she told me about, frustrating. Now, I fully understand, the person who was speaking to me, who was very nice and very pleasant, could be wrong or not understand trails, but for $65 dollars a night and a permit fee on a "hope" to ride, just no. I feel the website is misleading, staff not informed about trail system, SMH. Now, on the site they have a small trail map, is that the trail they are referring to the is small or is this a trail head, is there another trail, THEY HAD NO CLUE. I am aware that as a rider you have to do research, ultimately it's up to us to find trail maps, know the laws etc...but don't advertise trail access and you can't tell me where, how to access, how far is the trail, is it open.....basic questions, should have answers. We have been on a ton of trails, ORV parks, traveling through the US riding and each place provided so much more information, extremely helpful. We canceled at this Campsite due to lack of help or information. Booked today at 9:50am, called with questions then decided to cancel at 12:30pm same-day, still charged $25 dollars to cancel, I understand about covering cost and time, but honestly your staff is not well informed to help riders feel confident in booking/staying.

Bathroom fan didn't work and the bathroom definitely needed updated. Parking sucked, we mentioned it to staff, but they brushed it off. With Sturgis starting the week after our stay, there were so many huge trucks and trailers taking up multiple spots. Kids enjoyed the pools, that area was nice and clean.

No problem.. we called one week before arrival to verify ADA ROOM. No answers, no response to messages or emails. Finally get a human night before arrival date and gal tells us we don't have an ADA ROOM because it's not in the block of rooms reserved. Why would that matter??? We reserved the room long before the date. It's our policy she says. However no one told us when we reserved the room and no one bothered to call us. Then when we try to cancel they will not refund our money!!! We need a ADA ROOM, they did not serve us as a paying customer and we should not have been charged. Best Western do better. Hotels in general need to do better to accommodate those who need ADA ROOM. One room per hotel is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

However, what…read moretruly made our stay memorable were the three outstanding young ladies working here: Mary, Gabrielle, and Yanna. During our trip, we met many wonderful people, but these three stood out above everyone else. Their friendliness, professionalism, and genuine warmth made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They consistently went above and beyond and always greeted us with a smile. Comfort Inn deserves tremendous credit for having such exceptional employees. Mary, Gabrielle, and Yanna transformed what would have been a very good four-star stay into a ten-star experience. They are a tremendous asset to your hotel, and we hope their hard work and dedication receive the recognition they deserve.

There's not enough tables but it's honestly better if we just take it to our room anyway. Not a deal breaker. There was cheese omelettes, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, a waffle maker, bagels and muffins. There wasn't too much I could have since I can't eat dairy, but I brought my own food. The water was hot and our room ac worked great! There's blackout blinds so you can go to sleep whenever you need. There's a coffee maker in the room, a microwave and fridge. At the reception area they have a pantry if you want to buy overpriced food items. For instance, a can of Pepsi was $3. The pool and spa was refreshing and clean. And the gym had good equipment including a few treadmills and weights. There's an Xbox room and a Business Center. All of these amenities are in the basement. We recommend!

A couple of years ago we rode our bike there and Dan got shingles. He needed to go to hospital, George let use his vehicle to take him to the hospital. And the next day to the eye doctor. Black hills cabins and motel are central located to all of the attractions! If you stay once and you ever go back you will be calling George to book a cabin! I give it a 5 star review

He claimed to have allergies, and when we attempted to explain the applicable ADA laws, he stated that he was aware of them but did not care. His response to our concerns was highly unprofessional and demeaning. Disturbingly, he went so far as to publicly speak negatively about my family and even shared one of their addresses online. Fortunately, we were able to find another hotel last minute that welcomed us without issue. This experience was not only unprofessional but also discriminatory towards veterans with disabilities. Update: He charged my family for the stay even though we didn't stay there because we were denied! Completely unacceptable and no way to run a business DO NOT STAY HERE.

I booked the suite here which was a steal for the price. I prefer to book bigger rooms when I can so my family has some space. This room (#200) definitely did not disappoint. We had two bedrooms, one loft and one downstairs, both with queen sized beds. Two pull out sofas. Three TVs, in the bedrooms and living area. The jacuzzi tub was an awesome extra I didn't even realize we were getting. The kitchenette was nice but there were no utensils or cups, so bring your own. There is an indoor pool here which looked nice but we didn't use it. The laundry room was very convenient, we did use that. Staff here was friendly. The breakfast is a doggy bag style breakfast due to Covid. They give you a bag with a fruit, water and either a granola bar or microwaveable Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich. I know my room was probably very different than their standard rooms but it was immaculate and HUGE! Definitely splurge on the suite, it wasn't much more than their standard rooms.
