    Chocolate gelato

I've been here a few times already. The owner and employees were super nice and helpful with tasting and explaining the flavors. I really enjoy the chocolate gelato taste like melted chocolate dark chocolate. My friend loves the boozy milkshake "White Russian" with gelato in it. There's tables inside and outside.

My family came in a Saturday evening and there was no wait. The staff told me about the difference between sorbetto (vegan) and gelato (milk based). Parking was easy in the free parking deck. They are actually closing this location on June 21 and opening up down the street on Sept 3. My daughter and I enjoyed the seasonal blackberry gelato and peach gelato. My husband liked the pecan praline gelato. They have indoor and outdoor seating and everything was super clean! And best of all, it is close to my work office, so will definitely come back!

Had the opportunity to visit Cremalosa this week. Tried their strawberry and lemon mango sorbetto. The strawberry was sweet and creamy, while the lemon mango had a tangy kick--more on the sour side but still really flavorful. Both were refreshing and go perfect together. Willing to go back and try more flavors!

I'd been wanting to check out this gelato shop for a while and finally decided to stop in one afternoon. The shop is located on the second floor of Courtland Decatur East complex. I went around closing time, so the options were limited. I got a small cup with the Oreo flavor and pink lemonade sorbetto. I also the frozen margarita cocktail. It's basically a delicious boozy milkshake. The pink lemonade sorbetto was mouthwatering! Looking forward to returning and trying more flavors.

It's a bit of an odd location as you have to go up some stairs to a plaza that's removed from the street. Apparently this leads to a MARTA station (I've never been on MARTA despite numerous trips to Atlanta). While the people ahead of me were getting pints, I had plenty of time to peruse. I ended up with an oreo-based cookies and cream flavor, as well as some white chocolate raspberry. Both flavors delivered a strong dairy base and smooth texture, with the oreos and raspberries being more of a finishing note. It was clearly good gelato, but even by Atlanta standards, the price was a bit eyebrow-raising for one small cup of gelato. I could see some quality there, but it wasn't the best I've had in Atlanta.

One of my favorite ice cream places in Atlanta! Conveniently located near the Avondale Marta station up the stairs, there is ample free parking available. The people who work here are great, very kind and helpful, and generous with servings! The gelato itself is also delicious. A fantastic texture, really rich and creamy, and the flavors are all delicious. The store is really cute and on the smaller side, but there's some seating inside, but every time I've visited there's quite a few families eating in the outdoor patio! There's also some cornhole, and people kicking around a ball, so overall a very pleasant place to eat some ice cream on a nice day!

Cremalosa is an inviting locally- and woman-owned gelato shop tucked into a mixed-use development (Cortland Decatur East) with free parking and is only a skybridge away from the Avondale MARTA station. The area kind of flies under the radar, but more and more tenants seem to be moving in, like Hodgepodge Coffeehouse. Tables and chairs are set out in the courtyard for outdoor dining. There are many flavors to choose from! Sizes start at $4 for a single, then $7 for a double, and finally $8 for a triple. The portions are plentiful, and the staffers are quite willing to tell you more about each flavor. If fruit is your jam, don't miss out on the sorbetti. My only suggestion would be for the mix-ins. I'm a mix-in fiend so I would've liked more Kit Kat pieces in the Kit Kat bar and smaller and more plentiful pineapple chunks in the piña colada. There was one mega-cube of frozen pineapple in the latter, and I had to wait for it to thaw some before I could eat it. But if you're on the lookout for European-style frozen delicacies, certainly check Cremalosa out!

A gelato spot that has seasonal flavors. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Samples aren't being offered due to Covid still. It was hard for the kiddos to choose a flavor when it's not strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla being offered. Either way, they chose chocolate and everyone was happy. I would go back in a few months in hopes that we can sample a flavor before our purchase.

Run not walk to Cremalosa! The gelato is amazing and it reminded me of being Italy!! Every flavor I sampled was incredible! The gelato is creamy and full of flavor. And to make this post even sweeter.. they have boozy shakes! I can't wait to try one the next time I'm in the shop! The owner is super friendly and I definitely look forward to supporting her business again in the future! The business definitely warrants 5 stars in my book! Pics taken by Jazmine H.

Very cute place with super nice staff. The gelato's texture was incredible, so creamy. The only reason I don't give it more stars is that the flavors are all very mild and some are hard to tell apart from each other. I got the caramel Milano (delicious) and stracciatella. Loved the caramel Milano but the stracciatella was a bit disappointing.

We visited after a graduation celebration and were looking forward to a memorable meal. The experience got off to a rough start with hosts who were not particularly warm or welcoming. Once seated, things only went downhill. Our waiter seemed disorganized from the beginning. We ordered appetizers first, but they arrived at different times, and to make matters worse, the graduate in our party received her main entrée at the same time the rest of us were receiving appetizers. I politely explained that it didn't make sense for one guest to be eating her entrée while everyone else was still eating appetizers and waiting for their meals. His response was confusing and didn't really address the issue, so we let it go. Unfortunately, the graduate's steak was served cold. Rather than preparing a fresh one, the restaurant simply took it back and returned it about two minutes later. It appeared to be the exact same steak based on how we had left it when it was sent back, and while I'm not sure whether restaurants typically reheat food or prepare a new dish altogether, this one was reheated. To make matters worse, the graduate ended up with a stomachache after eating it. As we continued waiting, our entrées never arrived. The waiter was polite but extremely inattentive. We repeatedly had to flag him down because he rarely checked on our table. After a VERY long wait, I asked about the rest of our meals. At that point, he admitted that he had forgotten to place our entree orders altogether. He then had to take all of our orders again and submit them to the kitchen. By the time our food finally arrived, we were no longer hungry and were extremely frustrated, despite remaining patient and courteous throughout the entire experience. The entrées were decent, but nothing exceptional, especially considering the extremely excessive wait and service issues. The waiter did bring a small dessert for the graduate, which was a nice touch, but it felt more like a complimentary gesture because he had forgotten our entrées than a genuine celebration of the occasion, especially given how disastrous the overall experience had been. What should have been a joyful graduation celebration turned into an exhausting and disappointing dining experience. While the waiter was polite, the service was slow, disorganized, and lacking attention to detail. Overall, this was a poor first experience and not one I would be eager to repeat.

We snagged an early dinner reservation at 5:15 pm and surprisingly, people were already dining and they just got busier as time went on. We were greeted right away by our wonderful server (forgot her name though) and she asked if it was our first time there and if we were celebrating something. We answered yes to both and they actually brought us complimentary champagne, a sparkling non-alcoholic cider for me because I ordered a zero proof drink. Kimball House is known for their amazing bar program, so my husband ordered a Kimball House served with a side of olives and lemon twist on ice, like what?! I ordered a ginger & honey lime fizz to enjoy. For starters, we also enjoyed Hawaiian rolls, green salad and some oysters for my husband. The rolls and salad came out super fast, but there was quite a wait for our drinks and oysters that I didn't think they were going to come out. The rolls are a must-get here - they're huge and the strawberry preserve it was served with was delicious! The salad was actually split in half, which was a super nice touch and was plenty of serving between two people. We loved the dressing - it was nice and fresh. For our entree, I ordered a trout and my husband ordered the duck breast. I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw my plate because I was thinking it would be a plate full of grits, but what was served was the perfect amount because it was quite heavy. The trout by itself was too salty for my taste, but was best eaten with a bite of collards and grits. My husband enjoyed his meal, but wished the duck was cooked a bit more. For dessert, we both enjoyed a Paris Brest. Our server actually put it in twice so we each got one when she meant to only punch in one, but she ended up taking one off from our bill. I was quite shocked that our whole dinner was only around $190, not including tip, which I thought was quite reasonable. We definitely recommend this place for date night or simply for delicious food.
