Within a week of being there, I discovered my apartment had a roach infestation (big/med/small sized, alive and dead), along with huge spiders and centipedes making their appearance regularly. My dog got sick from eating a roach... when I brought in my conditions sheet, I brought that to the attention of one of the office people I had yet to meet, who (with an annoyed attitude) said she would add me to the list (very reassuring) and was informed that they wouldn't be able to do anything for a week.
Their hot tub is disgusting. The night I moved in, a friend of mine and I went in there- she ended up getting contact dermatitis from it, a rash from bad bacteria. Upon further inspection the following day, there's dirty/brown bubbles in it, and what looks like fungus build up on the corners. Their pool is regularly dirty and freezing.
My apartment was gross, had a musky smell upon initially entering the apartment, dirty shelving in the closet, dirty/hair build up along the floorboards (especially in the bathroom by the shower)... the washer and dryer were gross. Inside the rubber seal in the washer was caked/built up hair and dirt, along with very visible black mold in the detergent drawer-- which I ended up taking a sample of and sending it to a lab, which came back positive for black mold.. the lint collector in the dryer had caked on dirt built up.
There was dirt residue built up above the vent in the bathroom. The bedroom door didn't latch, as well as the patio door. You had to lock/deadbolt the patio door for it to stay shut, which was extremely hard to do. You had to push/pull/jiggle it just right to be able to get the lock to lock. Their key fob system doesn't work, it's extremely dark with no/hardly any lights in the very back of the buildings where some parking is. There's dog poop everywhere along the sidewalks, even on the side walks a lot of times.
When I decided this place just wasn't what they had made it seem to be when I toured it, text book uninhabitable, I went to the front office and spoke with the manager, informing her that I was moving out. At that time, I had only been there 6 days. She did not want to work with me and wanted 2 months of rent to release me from my lease. This was the biggest scam I've seen. She herself even said she wouldn't ever get in their hot tub... but that's an amenity I'd be paying for? Continues to inform me there was someone who moved out of my apartment building a few weeks prior that had a massive roach infestation they were trying to contain and rid the place of (mind you, unsuccessfully- why would you move a new tenant into that building so soon??)
I've tried reaching out to their regional office multiple times, unsuccessfully. Currently, I'm in talks with lawyers about what a headache all of this is. Save yourself the hassle, headache, and consider your well-being and well-being of your pets, and do NOT move here. I've come to personally discover that there are far more better places around for this price point.
