This is literally the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Management is horrific and money hungry. They are also rude whenever there is an issue. Tons of hidden fees throughout the time I lived there. During my last least, they tried to charge me $1400 for cleaning the AC unit - I had to get a lawyer involved. Upon move out, they are also trying to charge me unwarranted fees. Beyond being money hungry, the complex is sub-par to say the least. Amenities never function (treadmills always down, sauna always broken, pool constantly occupied by non-residents because gates are never functioning), walls are paper thin, tenants leave trash out daily - its an absolute mess, and I would not recommend this complex to my worst enemy. The only positive I can point to is the maintenance staff, particularly Mario. He is always very kind and efficient with any maintenance issues. read more

This apartment complex will tell you everything that you want to hear when you sign the lease. But once you sign everyone is of no help. You need to fill out multiple maintenance requests before anything happens to it, the gate doesn't work, there isn't enough parking and they will tow your car. They charge you $25 per month for parking and that doesn't guarantee that there will be parking for you. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

I lived at Peridot Palms for a total of three years, during which time the staff at the Clubhouse changed frequently, which should tell you something is not right. The grounds are well maintained and the maintenance staff was superb. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about UDR management. The reason that I did not renew my lease when it expired on Feb. 28, 2025 was attributed to three factors. There was the constant thumping noise on a daily basis coming from above my unit, namely 6302. UDR didn't even attempt to resolve this issue. Good luck to the person that now occupies unit 6302. Secondly, UDR wanted to increase the rent by $283 a month, although they listed it for a lessor amount on their site. Eventually by the time I moved out, they reduced the rent even more, but never once did they offer me the same terms. Shocking for a tenant in excellent standing who had been there for three years. But that is not surprising, as UDR now charges fees such as renting the rooms in the clubhouse, when that was never the issue when I first moved in. I wouldn't be surprised if they start charging you to use the gym, the pool, or the hot tub is due course. Of course, the hot tub like the sauna and the gates to the community are rarely in working order. If you are poolside when the no see ums are active, good luck trying to enjoy the pool or the putting green. These issues and others were brought to the attention of the staff in the clubhouse, but I never received a reply back from them. The parking is an issue, especially for guests or someone that has a handicap friend or relative visiting, as I was told that the handicap parking was just for residents. And then there was the incident when my car got towed, because they had retained a new towing company in January. They allegedly sent me an email, but a thorough search by me showed that I hadn't received any such notice. You would think that as a common courtesy to a current resident, that they could give you a warning. No such luck with UDR! When I brought the subject up with the personnel at the clubhouse, they even admitted that a number of resident's had yet to collect the new parking sticker. I asked them why they didn't simply put up a notice on the clubhouse door, as a friendly reminder, to avoid paying $190 for the towing on top of the Uber fee and half a day of my time wasted retrieving my car. They said that was a good idea, but it would have to go up to management to decide. I thought that was absolutely ridiculous, so I put up a notice on the front door, which was promptly taken down in less than two hours. I can only surmise that UDR gets a cut of the towing charges, given this reaction of theirs. To cap things off, UDR is the worst management firm that I have ever dealt with. It is now two months since I left and they have yet to return my deposit. As they never provide their name or a direct contact number, I have no idea if I am dealing with one person, or a number of persons. This is very poor from a customer service standpoint, but it might explain why it is taking so long to resolve unsubstantiated charges that they posted to my account. Charges that they have failed to supply invoices for, a detailed description of the charges, or pictures. Believe it or not, they want to charge me $75 for the lint catcher in the dryer. That lint catcher was returned to them exactly as how I received it. Needless to say, UDR does not have your best interests at heart, and they threathen you with being reported to the credit agencies over a erroneous $135.54 bill. My suggestion is to go to Cortland Santori which is just 8 minutes to the west, or Marlowe. Santori was built in 2019 and the gym and pool is far superior to Peridot Palms. This place is an absolute scam! I lived here for two years in two different units. They increased rent drastically into year two, decided to create "reserved parking spots" taking up half the lot, and charged me an insane amount of money for "cleaning and painting services" in both apartments during move out. Both apartments were cleaned prior to moving and had no paint damage. I understand the apartments need a deep clean before new residences, but there is absolutely no reason I should be paying their upkeep expenses! They also had terrible response time from their maintenance team and while they attempted to upgrade the property by repainting buildings they completely inconvenienced residences by taking months to do so and having many spots blocked off for the painting equipment. They gave no apologies for any inconveniences. They also switched parking companies during my time living here and failed to inform me the towing company had new tags. My car got towed and costed me 300 dollars. I informed management of this and explained that their email went to my junk mail and they offered no apologies or reimbursement for my towing fee. Also don't be fooled by the repainting, they do nothing to fix the things that are actually broken like the main gate that will not close or the many treadmills in the gym that don't work! They are awful to work with and I would never recommend living here! read more

DO NOT LIVE AT THIS PLACE. I lived here for 3 years. When we renewed the second year, they increased the rent despite there being similar apartments (i.e., same sq footage, layout, etc.) that had rent cheaper. When I asked if we could just transfer to one of those apartments, I would have had to pay a fee that was not worth the trouble, so I just renewed with the above market rate. Then in the third year, the same situation happened. We did not renew for a fourth year. They initially offered a higher rate (as expected even though all the similar apartments were at least $400 cheaper than what they were offering). We declined. Then, they came back and said they wouldn't increase the rent (even though our rent was already above market). We declined. During my tenure at this complex, I have had two erroneous charges that I successfully won. The first one was related to my trash can being outside of hours, which I am very careful about abiding by those rules given the excessive e-mails regarding how strict they were. When I inquired about the charge, the front office was unable to pull up a photo to show evidence that I had violated the rules. (Note that should you see any charges that you believe are erroneous, request to see a photo as I believe they are required to take a picture to show evidence). The second charge was related to not retrieving a package from a locker (which in my third year I was forced to pay for; previously, it was optional) within the 72 hour window. The system was down when my package arrived in the locker for a week. The office waived fees because of this. Once the system was fixed, I retrieved my package within 24 hours, but somehow, I was still fined for not retrieving it within 72 hours. I personally had to show them when my package was delivered, show them the communication they sent to the community that read the system was down, and then show them the communication of when the system was fixed. I have lived in six different complexes over the last 10-15 years. This is the FIRST time I have had a complex request that I pay them for damages. The invoice stated that I had carpet damages, and as such, the carpet needed to be replaced for $2,500. I responded to UDR and inquired about this charge since my apartment did NOT have carpet. I received an "updated" invoice that the hardwood floor was damage and that I would need to replace the plank for $1,000. This raises a lot of suspicion on how they are billing their tenants; it questions whether they are falsifying charges to make money. Any sensible human would find it weary that UDR suddenly has a new bill AFTER telling them that they must be mistaken given the fact that you cannot claim something is damaged if it was not in there in the first place. Aside from these large corporations trying to dry out every last penny from their tenants, the complex itself is fine if you're okay with a few of the experiences I've had below. 1. There were two incidents that I know of where someone was opening cars to see if they were unlocked so they could potentially steal belongings. One of those incidents involved my car, and I had to speak with an officer. I can only attribute this to the fact that their gates never work making the complex questionable safety wise. 2. The amenities are frequently broken, specifically in the gym. They have five treadmills, and for an extended period of time only one would work. On average, I would say 1-2 work during my tenure. The stair master and sauna are broken frequently as well. 3. Every year, either they have added fees or fees increased whether it be trash, pest control, or the Parcel Pending locker mentioned above. I also submitted paperwork for ESA approval when I first moved in, but because they "changed systems" in my third year, they required I have my doctor fill out a completely new form, but obviously that requires me to pay my doctor another fee, and knowing it would be our last year, I did not go through that hassle. It is just another example of how they will try to find any possible way to squeeze every dime out of you. read more

The word "nightmare" doesn't even begin to describe my experience at Peridot Palms. I had high hopes when I first moved here, but things quickly went downhill and kept getting worse. I ended up speaking with a lawyer; my experience was that bad. If you don't want to read a rather long review, the bottom line is this: Do yourself a favor and live someplace else. You can thank me later. Here are some things to keep in mind if you decide to live here: * The apartment doors don't have physical keys; they use numeric codes. There is a SmartRent unit in each apartment that controls a variety of functions, from the door lock to the thermostat. I lost count of how many times I had trouble with that system, ranging from the wrong thermostat setting to the door trying to lock itself before I had even closed it. * I did not receive a working door code until I was several days into my lease. I reached out to UDR (the company that owns Peridot Palms) and requested a partial refund. Nobody ever responded to me. * There is almost no sound insulation between floors. Prepare for noise from your upstairs neighbors, and probably quite a bit of it. My upstairs neighbors were especially noisy, sometimes waking me up at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning with loud stomping, dropping heavy objects, etc. Despite numerous complaints to management, nothing was done, and the noise never stopped. * The location is not ideal. Gandy Blvd. is a very busy road. Traffic is often very heavy, and there is no stop sign or stop light at the Peridot Palms entrance. (Good luck making a left turn.) There is no back entrance to help you avoid traffic; there is only one way in or out. * The parking lot is completely inadequate for the number of people who live here and visit. When I lived here, it was almost impossible to find a parking spot after about 8:00 p.m. After I moved away, I heard UDR was going to start charging for visitor parking, which didn't surprise me at all. That's how bad the parking situation is here. * The maintenance team has a huge backlog. If you put in a maintenance request, expect to wait at least 1-2 weeks, if not longer. When I reported a stain in my ceiling from a sewage leak, several months went by before they even looked at it. (See attached photo) * The gates are notoriously unreliable. During the time I lived here, the entry gate didn't work at least half the time and had to be left open 24/7 to allow residents to enter the complex. When they did work, I barely avoided damage to my car on several occasions from gates that started closing too early. * There is a mandatory monthly fee for trash service. You cannot opt out. There is no pickup on weekends or holidays. Sometimes they miss regular pickup days as well; there is no notification or refund when that happens. The on-site trash compactor is often overflowing. (See attached photo) * The maintenance team turned my apartment into a construction zone and made it completely unlivable, starting approximately four weeks before my lease ended. No one notified me or requested my consent before the master bedroom and kitchen were torn apart. (See attached photos.) My belongings were moved without my consent. Some of my belongings went missing; I never saw them again. * I spoke with a lawyer about suing Peridot Palms and UDR. She told me they had clearly violated multiple Florida landlord-tenant statutes (most notably 83.05 and 715.105), but the amount I could recover would be much less than the legal fees. I suspect the folks at UDR and Peridot Palms are aware of that, which is why they do the despicable things they do. If anyone from Peridot Palms and/or UDR is reading this: Shame on you for treating me and your other tenants so poorly. The apartments are so comfortable to live in and extremely beautiful. Neighbors are so friends and we've made so many friends. It's also a very central location to anywhere you need to get to. A good community community generally to live in could use some TLC or respect to security, pet management and guest security. The pool is perfect most of the time, except for when guests are invited and guest do not really respect the property as as much as it should be. This management is very unprofessional and they are very misleading. My friend and I appied and it costed a fortune for an application and we didn't get approved due to a fail of information from the management when we had our scheduled tour and quote done. Even after we did not get approved, the manager told my friend and I misleading information which still did not get us approved. They leave out how much a guarantor has to make in their scheduled tours with quotes. When I was asking for my money back and explaining what happened, one of the managers I spoke to tried to call me a liar basically saying their management would never do that when in fact they did. Going to start this review by listing the very small list of pros to this apartment, but in general STAY AWAY from this place. Pros: - Good amenities, pool is nice and stylistically it's decent. - Good location to be central to both St. Pete & Tampa. Cons: - Living on floors 1-3 is awful. Now as a preface, I've lived in both dorm settings and apartments before. There is ZERO noise proofing between floors at this place. Upstairs neighbors sound like elephants that might break through the floor and rattle picture frames on my wall. I have video proof and good luck getting any peace and quiet here, you will hear every footstep and any sort of noise located near the vents. Lastly, management will not do anything about this. After submitting multiple noise complaints, no solutions were found. - You will not be able to have guests visit here. There is terribly limited guest parking and they tow almost immediately. In addition, good luck finding a resident spot after 10:30 p.m. on the weekend. I've had to on multiple occasions park across the street at the gym and cross 4 lanes of traffic on foot. - The gates have been consistently broken on many occasions since my move in of November 2021 for weeks at a time. In addition, it's a vehicle break-in prone area. I found myself walk out one morning to see a residents car window smashed for their belongings and police everywhere. So just know, you won't be living in a secure area. - They should have considered how dangerous it can be getting in and out of the complex without a traffic light. You will never be able to make a left hand turn out or in during rush hours, and if you do it's dangerous. Since living here, I've seen 2 MAJOR accidents right outside the complex, I'm assuming because of this issue. My recommendation, create another gate off of Brighton bay since it's right there! - In general, this place has gone severely down hill. Some other notes to keep in mind: There's dog poop everywhere, they consistently miss trash pickup on scheduled days which you are required to pay for, trash compactor is constantly full, hot tub never works, grills didn't work for an extended period of time, pool rules never enforced considering kids ages 5-8 were left there alone to terrorize other residents with no parental supervision and barking/loud dogs everywhere. - Lastly, management has changed tremendously since Ashley has left. I received no move out procedure communication and whatever leasing agent was there yesterday, who avoided introducing herself, was not helpful at all and very rude. - P.s. when I moved into the place, the unit was already damaged!! Mold in the shower sealant, LARGE/DEEP scratches in the flooring right when u walk in, the lock didn't work for over an hour, drawers not closing properly, base board broken and hanging in the kitchen, and to top it all off, the place was not clean. read more

My touring experience was terrific today; I love the self-guided, ed tour option because it allows future residents to move at their own pace without the pressure of feeling rushed or overwhelmed. During the tour a live person (no recorded line/support), you can ask any questions, and they will provide answers in a quick reply. Upon todays visit my concierge was Triston and he was very helpful with any questions and concerns I had. This place was beautiful, clean, and peaceful, its definitely a top option for me. read more

Even sending our "unauthorized" letters to residents. What luxury rental community that you pay 2000$ a month for requires you to damage a car, ask for permission for guests "during business hours". The units themselves look beautiful however they are cheaply made. You hear everything from gandy Blvd traffic to the neighbors above and below you. The walls are hollow thin. Save your money. Visit a property like Camden, hermitage, seazen, etc. This is luxury from a cover but managed poorly, constructed cheaply and not worth your time nor money. You can hear everything though the walls, apartments are not properly maintained , parking is non existent , office is full of excuses , trash never gets picked up , mold grows due to the bad duct work and poor cooling, AC has been out 3 times in 3 months , packages stolen at front door , the list goes on and on ! Stay far away ! We lived at EPIC of Gateway for 5 years with ZERO issues ! Just needed a 3 Bedroom at the time due to having a new baby. This has been the worst decision of our lives ! Currently having an attorney looking into options due to health concerns for our baby after property manager refused to let us out of our lease after finding black mold ! I've been at Peridot Palms for about 5 months on a 12 month lease and I'm not sure I can make it another day in this place....not to mention the remaining 7 months of my lease. I have several issues with this apartment complex that I can get into, some of which I noticed have already been been mentioned here by others posting here on Yelp, but the one issue that is most pressing for me and making me wonder if I can stand one more day here is NOISE!!! I've rented and lived in apartment complexes for most of my adult life going back 30+ years or so and thought I've seen it all, but this apartment complex has to be the absolute worst designed and constructed apartment complex I've ever lived in particularly with respect to noise and vibrational abatement. I feel like I'm living in a paper mache cardboard dollhouse or something !! I can't believe it's even legal to design and construct apartment complexes like this without any consideration for noise and vibrational abatement !! I purposely chose an apartment on the top floor of one of the buildings in the back of the complex that was furthest from the traffic noise along Gandy Blvd., and that I didn't have to worry about someone living above me and stomping above my ceiling. At the time I scouted out the location of this apartment, I didn't notice any traffic along Brighton Bay Blvd. which is just maybe 150 feet from this apartment I ended up renting. That all changed the day I moved in when I immediately noticed the significant amount of traffic along Brighton Bay Blvd., and then subsequently further noticed later after moving in the amount of traffic noise coming from all that traffic on Brighton Bay Blvd. Particularly, the almost constant low frequency vibrational rumbling coming from the seemingly endless number of muscle performance cars, utility vehicles, pickup trucks, and motorcycles with open muffler exhaust systems all doing well over the posted speed limit of 25 MPH and constantly accelerating like maniacs as if Brighton Bay Blvd. is some sort of speedway or something. Some of these same vehicles also operate in the parking lot and parking spaces and rented garages below my apartment. Some residents here rent garages four floors below my apartment for their muscle cars, and every time these cars start up it sounds like there's an explosion going off in the building!!! This occurs regularly at 6:30 AM weekday mornings routinely waking me up. Another source of noise and vibration here comes from people's car radios and subwoofers operating in the parking lot. In particular bass subwoofers mounted in the trunks of cars and that regularly blast, including at 6:30 AM, again waking me up. I'm a university degreed engineer, and I studied and know about what's known as "structural resonances" These buildings are subject to low frequency structural resonances that get excited by any low frequency energy coming from the loud open exhaust systems of certain vehicles, as well as car radios and subwoofers. These buildings seem efficient at coupling and being excited by low frequency energy....I feel like I'm living inside of a giant bass drum !! The structural engineers who designed these buildings, if there were any, should be ashamed of themselves, in fact, this type of construction should not be permitted and allowed in the first place. Now on the internal sources of noise within the building. The walls are paper thin, and I can hear and in fact almost make out, what the people who live next door to me are saying on the other side of the wall. Also, some "genius" decided it was a great idea to put all the front doors of each apartment on these ridiculous spring loaded hinges. If you let go of the front door after opening it, the door violently slams shut, and it's worse the further the door is opened. I noticed and figured out after my first hour after moving in that the courteous thing to do is to try as much as possible catch the door before it slams shut. Of course nobody else in the apartments around me have figured this out and the constant sound of people letting their front doors slam shut on these spring loaded hinges is a regular occurrence. I could have sworn I saw and felt the sink counter in my bathroom move maybe about 1/8" and snap back after my neighbor let their front door slam one time from probably what was the full open position. I don't know what else to say, I could mention the disgusting garbage situation with people constantly not adhering to trash valet protocols and leaving plastic bags of garbage, sometimes broken open, out in the hallways for days and not in the plastic tubs the garbage is supposed to be in. I feel bad for the people in the front office who seem like they're just trying to make a living, and who try their best to accommodate the concerns of the residents. read more

Not worth the money. It looks very pretty in pics but we had so many things to complain about, I'm not even sure where to start. The walls are so thin, we could hear my neighbor cough and dogs bark. Because of "human error" their painting company broke in our apartment and took the liberty of taking multiple valuable items. This was mostly on the painting company but Peridot palms provided them with the code to come in the apartment although they tried to lie to my face and say the company had the wrong apartment number (I double verified the true issue). I felt as if Peridot palms tried to place the entire blame on them without considering their part in the fact that my privacy was violated. Same thing happened to our family member living in building 6 a month ago. What a coincidence. But this was another"mistake". And especially don't pick an apartment facing Gandy since you will hear all of the racers at night and many police cars that pass. Visitor parking was often an issue. Recycle area was often so full you couldn't really safely put anything else. Cabinet handles often would come off with normal use. read more

The staff are 100% the only people leaving positive reviews for this place. Don't be fooled by the amenities, you don't pay for them in your lease so they don't fix anything and they don't answer calls or messages EVER. My spare bathroom toilet didn't work for A YEAR yet I still paid $2,800/mo. They changed my lock without asking me, so I got locked out of my place after midnight on my birthday after flying in from abroad. I had a key lock for almost a year instead of having the luxury of a smart lock. They took away the few parking spots we had and made it mandatory to pay for them so my friends constantly got towed. There is no system in place to monitor who gets into the pool, so good luck ever getting a spot for more than 1 person on the weekends because it's full of people who don't live there. This in and of it's self is a primary reason the property is now so run down with their UDR MANAGMENT MOTEL 8 MENTALITY . Greystar managed this property like a five star hotel. NOISE, NOISE AND MORE NOISE!!! -Daily fire alarm goes off with a piercing noise so high you have to leave your apartment. Yes, alarms are good when theirs a fire but the alarms go off for no reason and stay alarming for hours. I'd like to be sleeping right now but instead THE FIRE ALARM HAS BEEN GOING OFF FOR OVER 2HOURS STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have pets this will kill their ears too and give them severe anxiety to match the anxiety you will have by the piercing noise and NO SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!...this isn't what I'm paying for but is you don't mind alarms and constant noise this is the place for you. NOISE-PAPER THIN WALLS- There are no secrets hear because you can hear every conversation or hook up your neighbors are having. NOISE-Not to mention the stomping neighbors the screaming kids all hours of the day and night. Because UDR lets so many people live in one apartment the noise level is off the charts. IF YOU WANT SLEEP-DON'T LIVE HERE or go to a hotel because this place is noisy as f**k. NO SMOKING - ...and the lie detector test determined THAT'S A LIE! When I moved in Greystar managed the property and it was very well maintained including enforcing the no smoking policy. With the new management UDR came a manager and maintenance chief who smokes so now smoking is permitted on the property by the trash but they smoke all over the property just like other residents. I walk through cigarette buts everywhere outside my apartment door and everywhere in the pool area. Of course the smell of smoke wafts into my apartment and one of the main selling points I moved here was the No Smoking policy because I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. When I told the office they did nothing and said anyone who complains must be the person doing it. Wait, what?!...that makes no sense but this is how the UDR leasing/management team thinks. TRASHY NOT CLASSY! Greystar never allowed people to leave trash outside prior to the hours the valet collected the trash. The corridors were cleaned to remove regular debris and any random stains on the concrete when Greystar managed it but this doesn't happen anymore. UDR Management allows trash to be out all of the time. THE RATS LOVE IT! IF you love dodging rats as you come and go plus enjoy the smell of ROTTING TRASH this place is for you. PET FRIENDLY FOR SURE - DOG POOP in the hallways adds another EPIC DISGUSTING SMELL AND TWIST TO DAILY LIVING! Greystar swabbed the mouths of dogs and any poop anywhere was tested and the owners were fined so the fear of being fined deterred people from doing nasty sh*t like this... but that doesn't happen anymore. Peridot Palms is like a concept car......looks great but not fully functional. The primary issue with this community is the absolute lack of soundproofing, and Peridot's equal lack of action towards resolution. I know what you're thinking........noise is the complaint of most apartment dwellers. Well, Peridot said....."hold my beer", and installed tile in all of their units. Dog paws, dog toys, kids, kiddie toys, shoes of any kind, anything with rollers/wheels such as office chairs, chairs/stools being pulled out to eat and pushed back in when finished, heel to toe walkers and many other items belonging to your neighbors become part of your everyday living whether you want it to or not. The side walls are equally as thin as you can hear your neighbors coughing, sneezing, farting, rooting for their favorite football team (go wolverines!), and yes, even arguing about why calling the cops on their other neighbor was a good idea. After searching many other apartments in the area, most have carpeting or other type of flooring to help with sounds from your neighbors. Peridot was asked if they had any future plans to carpet upper levels and the flat out response was.....no. Apparently, Peridot relies solely on people being respectful, and displaying common courtesy. I can tell you first hand that those people do not, I repeat, do not, live at Peridot. The amount of theft in this community is like none I've ever seen and I'm from Detroit where car jackings and smash & grabs are common place. I've lived in St. Pete for 10 years and crime is no stranger to this city, but it clearly resides in Peridot Palms. In my short tenancy here, I've had multiple amazon packages, a bicycle, and a vehicle....stolen. I've had 2 instances of my vehicle being vandalized. Oh, there was a shooting, so that was fun. I know what you're thinking again.....but the community looks so nice, how could that possibly be happening there? What a great segway to the third issue at Peridot Palms......the privileged residents. You know the memes on social media with the wypipo calling the cops, i.e. Backyard Betty, Pool Patty, etc?.....yea, they live here......and in droves. Here's the problem with living amongst privileged people: 1.) They think rules don't apply to them. 2.) What's theirs is theirs and what's yours is theirs. Hence all the amazon packages getting deboed. Most places have a package receptacle, not Peridot. 3.) The residents are very messy and don't pick up after themselves or their animals because.....well.....there's "people" that do that, right? The office should just call "the help" to clean. Because of this, the parking lot is common place for litter like water bottles, white claw, and the fast food they don't eat because....they workout bro. Another byproduct is dog poop. The privileged think "the help" is picking it up and in reality, there is no employee at Peridot with the title "Dog Poop Picker Upper". So, guess who picks up the dog poop?......you guessed it, no one. This makes for great ambiance in Florida's can of hot soup weather. Every time you go outside, you get the aroma of fresh, hot, steamy, dog crap. It got so bad, Peridot had to start issuing $500 fines for every instance a resident is caught not picking up their pet's waste. So now you're thinking, oh surely that squashed it. To this I say......awwwww aren't you cute. You know what else stinks?...trash. Peridot has a valet trash service. That means trash is placed outside of our door, in the hallway, on certain days of the week at certain times. What the privileged heard was......leave trash outside 24/7 and "the help" will take care of it. This is another area that Peridot has been unable to get under control in the year I've been here. Peridot has also resorted to issuing fines for this as well, but it worked about as well as the dog poop fines did. So now, the parking lot smells like dog crap and your hallway smells like a commercial trash dumpster all the time. All of the above has tenants fleeing Peridot with a quickness. No one wants to pay the amount of money they charge here for all of these problems. It would be one thing if it happened once and was resolved, but they are all recurring and ongoing. This list doesn't even include all of the problems, it's just the primary ones. This is why Peridot has a vacancy rate that is higher than the national average. With the amount of new properties coming up in that exact same area, in addition to the ones that are already there, you can get into a much better property that is cheaper, has the same or comparable amenities, and doesn't have the problems that Peridot does. Hopefully, the mass exodus lights a fire under Peridot's butt to make some serious changes and do better, but regrettably, they are not there yet. read more

Where do I even begin? They claim to be a luxury property but the coffee machine doesn't work, the gates don't work, the treadmills in the gyms dont work, the management is completely and utterly incompetent. They overbilled me one month for my rent by $600 and it took 10 days to get it rectified and they didn't even give me a credit or apologize for their actions. When you try and explain your problems to management, they are rude and unresponsive. And they treat people of color worse than their white counterpart tenants. Do not move here! read more

Ashley in the leasing office is probably the best and most professional person I have ever had the pleasure of working with, however that's where the positives end. The parking rules were changed out of nowhere and now you have to pay $10 a night to have a guest on top of the ridiculous rent prices. Instead of the complex just enforcing the rules they already had now everyone has to suffer. On top of already paying $10 a month to park where I live. Lol what a joke. But there's UDR for you they just grab ya where it hurts and keep squeezing for 12 months. Home sweet home. read more

If I could give this complex a 0 I would. First off, I moved out approximately 1 year ago and have yet to receive my deposit back. I have called and left messages at least ten times. Every time I get a hold of someone they respond with "I will have a manager call you back" yet I never receive a call back. I have left instant messages on Facebook and still no response. I lived in this apartment complex for almost a year and half without any missed payments or complaints. While living there I don't believe the gate was ever working properly, the dog park was a mess at all times, and the apartments were robbed at least twice that I know of. For a place that charges so much you would think they would at least have the courtesy to call you back, however, after I moved out there was no interest in paying back the deposit. read more
