While visiting a nearby shop, we saw All City Boxing Club and thought we'd give it a try. It is amazing. The facility is beautiful. Everything is clean, well maintained, and state of the art. Patrick helped us get on boarded and set us up with a family plan. Then we started our classes with Jesse. It's not only one if the best work outs I've had, but it's super fun. Jesse clearly has experience, and even though we're boxing for fitness and not for competition, he spends time ensuring we're learning everything we can. I love this place, and wonder how everyone in the city hasn't found it yet!

They offer many forms of martial arts including gi/no-gi bjj, striking/kickboxing, and wrestling. I typically attend the no-gi bjj classes. It starts with a quick warm-up, followed by learning a skill. Coaches will demo each move a few times and show you variations. You take turns drilling with your partner while the coaches will keep an eye out for questions or if someone is having trouble. The last 20 mins or so will be spent live rolling with different people on the mat. I also went to quite a few of the Friday workouts. The workout is mainly bodyweight/HIIT exercises that are timed. What I like about these is you can push yourself as hard as you want. If something is easier for you, do more or go faster. Not gonna lie, these classes kicked my ass. Sometimes I dreaded going to these but I never regret going. Overall, a great place to learn any form of martial art and get fit. Shout out to all the coaches who trained and pushed me!

They have a great coaching staff, and a healthy and positive gym culture centered on learning, challenging yourself, and keeping your training partners safe. The adult classes they have are Brazilian jiu jitsu (in the gi), and no-gi jiu jitsu, striking which ranges from boxing to kickboxing and muay thai, wrestling, MMA, escrima (stick fighting), and cardio conditioning classes. They also have kids classes, which you can find out about on their website. The monthly membership fee is a pretty good deal in my opinion. It's not uncommon for other gyms to have separate monthly fees for different disciplines, which quickly make the cost unaffordable for the average person. At Fight Science it's one price whether you want to pick a single discipline or train them all. You can do a free trail week if you're interested in checking it out. They can also loan you a gi if you want to try BJJ before committing to buying your own gear.

I have the highest tier all access equinox membership and even that is not $400 monthly. She hasn't gone there once since signing up and has reached out to them multiple times to cancel and they keep giving her excuses or not getting back to her. I think it's a bit unethical for them to do that, so now I've had to reach out to my credit card company about their negligence to cancel despite the multiple attempts to reach them and try to resolve it with them firsthand. She also said her friend mentioned that it's impossible to cancel and they will keep charging your card. I'm shocked to see good reviews and if this is just something happening personally to my mom but either way, I think the issue isn't the facility, it's the business practices. Continuing to charge after a cancellation request is highly concerning. If you're considering signing up, make sure you fully understand how difficult it may be to cancel. Below is a photo of my mom reaching out a month and a half ago for cancellation. And the ridiculous charges of $2k and the $400, it feels like robbery

But we spent alittle over $300 there on everything! There is a $35 or $45 entrance fee depending on when you come. It's just to come inside the lagoon. If you want the obstacle course it's an additional $10 per person for 55 mins (super short). If you want to kayak, use the aqua bike or use the paddleboard it's an additional $10 per equipment/item. There is a kiddie area for small and young children. They DO NOT allow outside food or drinks except water! There is a small shop that sells misc. items, snacks & drinks (overpriced). They also had a foodtruck inside that was expensive and the meals didn't come with drinks. They do have plenty of staff and lifeguards there. The entrance fee should of been $15-20. The obstacle course atleast 90-120 mins instead of the 55 mins. Wish the foodtruck came with drinks and was a bigger portion.

My younger son, who is in 2nd grade, went for the first time last year and is already so excited to go back. What really stood out to me was how quickly they both adapted. My younger son joined not knowing anyone and felt welcomed almost immediately. Both of my boys felt included from day one. The staff is incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive. You can truly feel that they work hard to create a safe, joyful environment for the kids, and as a parent that means everything. The activities are fantastic: well planned, age appropriate, engaging, and fun. The natural setting is also beautiful and feels especially important these days. My boys came home with confidence, stories, friendships, and summer memories they will cherish forever. And the camp spirit is real. We still sing the silly songs at home, especially the announcements song whenever we have a family announcement, and the birthday song too. I cannot recommend Cali Camp enough. I've certain found more members using the facilities but also discovered quite a bit of new programmings like the Pilates classes, mahjong club, live jazz performances and movie nights. I was not really sure about the change at the beginning but I am now fully embracing the new LAAC. Many of the staff and members have been here for a long time and it is nice to be greeted by familiar faces when coming to the club. The restaurants are pretty decent. Love to top my salad with a nice piece of salmon after workout at the Famous Players or have a tasty glass of scotch while enjoying the live jazz performance at the Invention. The sports bar Duke's has great happy hours and fun monthly evening karaoke or chess club meetings. The only thing I complain about is the need for shock absorbance and insulation of the noise or moving the weight station. The northwest corner of the Famous Players near Olive Street shakes every time the weightlifters drop their weights, which is very annoying and distracting for the diners. Feel like the ceiling or floor is going to drop out. No joke. For now, I would sit as far away from the northwest corner as I possibly can. But hope the club would look into it. I have been trying to sign up for the monthly wine tasting but they are always full. Maybe consider having the event more frequently or scale up? Regardless, I am still exploring all the new offerings at the club and really pleased with the Pilates classes and the live music performances. Although I am apprehensive when I first see the co-working space and the influx of new members, I now appreciate the additional events and classes that come with the new members and hope the club continues to do well and do better as I am here to stay.

As usual, water in the room costs money, and there are a few other products with hidden price tags in the room, too. Surprisingly, toothbrush and toothpaste was not provided. The water for showering also doesn't get too hot. In terms of the athletic space, the machines were very easy to access. There was never a wait even on weekend afternoons. The lap pool was my favorite part - clean and calm. There was some miscommunication between the lobby and the store, as one said there is no reservation system but there in fact was. But even when told all the lanes were fully reserved, more than half weren't in use. Parking is a bit of a hassle; for non-members it's definitely not worth it. At the time of visit, the parking machine wasn't working. There are also sperate elevators for parking vs the athletic club / hotel area which was a little confusing. The stair numbers also didn't coordinate the best with actual level.
