After another punctured tire over the weekend, Chrissy called me Monday and told me the tire was not repairable and had to be replaced. So I thought about getting one new tire for my 2021 GMC pickup, but with 42,000 miles that didn't make much sense to me. on Tuesday I called Chrissy and we decide to replace all 4. I told Chrissy we're in the peak of air conditioning season and I need my truck every day and yesterday I was not comfortable parking at a new construction job site in Ocean City since I was riding with no spare. I had to park 3.5 blocks away. She said no to worry she would get them delivered and call when she had them. Chrissy called me Wednesday morning about 11am, the tires were in and if I could come in Thursday or Friday they could get them mounted, balanced and align the front end. Well, I was booked solid both days with multiple out of town appointments. I told Chrissy that we were working in town today and this afternoon was my only option this week. she paused for a moment and told me if I could get my truck there 12 noon she would wiggle a couple things around and get me done that day. I have been going to Crescent Tire for 10 years. The shop is a family owned business ran Chrissy, a woman who truly values the relationships of her customers. In the past I always felt that I could be taken advantage of at mechanic shops because I did not understand how cars worked. The lead mechanic at Crescent, Chris, had educated me over the years & always explains in detail what's wrong with my vehicles. I am a single woman & Chrissy, the owner understands that I have to live on a budget so she always works with me to understand what the cost of the repairs are going to so that I don't get any surprises. Besides knowing that I am getting great service for a good value, it is such a friendly and positive environment. I look forward to walking in the door because I know I am going to be greeted with big smiles from Chrissy, Rose (her Mom), Robin & Chris. Gone are the days of being a young woman a little intimidated to walk into a dark, greasy shop not knowing what's wrong with my car and scared of how much it's going to cost. Early morning middle of Nov. 2017 in route to a pancake breakfast at Silver Coin steering became very difficult and decided to make a stop at Crescent Tire to check it out. Steering so hard couldn't even pull into parking spot on lot. Lucky for me Chris was there early and helped to park my car. I was guessing this was a major repair issue. They were able to diagnose and repair my car the same day. The final bill was for $84.97 to replace a power steering o-ring. This included new fluid, labor and tax. What a pleasant surprise. Over the years as an always satisfied customer this is typical of my experiences with Crescent Tire and all the staff. Always pleasant, courteous, dependable and very fair with their service fees. I had to have work done on the car that I could not do on my own, which I prefer doing instead of taking it to a shop. I went to Crescent Tire to balance and change tires. During their work they called stating that the break pads and rotors needed to be changed immediately and offered their services, which I declined. I picked up my car at the end of day with the job complete. The work that was done was adequate considering the price. After two weeks a friend pointed out that I no longer had a center cap on my tire. [If you think it was my fault for accepting the car at the end of the day that is certainly something you can think.] I had not noticed but knew we only recently plastic dipped the rims and could see a clear line where the cap was. When I called to asking about this they stated that, 'they could not take responsibly' and quickly hung up dismissing the entire complaint. After trying to sell me additional services and (in my opinion since I can't prove it, but knowing I had it prior and not after) losing both back tire center caps I will not likely be returning to this establishment. read more
