I stopped at C&J Automotive on the way to the beach when my check engine light came on. Kevin was at the front desk and even though they were close to closing time, he went into to my car to read the error code. He took the time to research my specific car online to see what was wrong. Even though the problem couldn't be fixed immediately, they gave me peace of mind to know my car would be fine for the weekend. Kevin and the other staff were amazing!! read more

I hadn't heard of this place until I got a coupon for an oil change in the mail. The service was good and fast, and the people were nice. If I remember correctly, the oil change is pretty inexpensive even without the coupon so I will return for my next oil change. Because of the good experience I had with the oil change, I would consider taking my car to C&J for other repairs/maintenance in the future. read more

Avoid like the plague, brought my car in due to not starting several times and coolant/oil leak issues. Was charged over $2800.00 for a new radiator, new driver belt, and a sensor should have been no where new that at any reasonable garage. Charged me over $320 for 4 gallons of coolant. They said it was a "computer error" and was a mistake some how. They nickel and dime you like crazy at this place. Costs $50.00 for them to just "look" at it and randomly charged $100.00 for "tools". On top of all this my car randomly didnt start a couple times afterwards when returned which is why i brought it in the first place, said the starter was fine originally when it was completly shot after i got it tested properly some place else. Got a new one some place else as they wont give u an estimate over phone at all. read more

I am sorry to say that my experience was not good to say the least. To make a long story short. The diagnosis was to replace the engine. Three months later I towed the vehicle to where I live. The shop that I towed it to worked successfully with the warranty company and advised me that the engine is fine. After a $1,400.00 tow and the vehicle sitting at C & J for three months making payments on it . The parts were replaced and the warranty company paid in full. I'm very disappointed in what seemed to be a situation of being taken advantage of. I would not recommend this business. read more

This was the first time I used this shop as my intention was to support local, small businesses. The car went in for a simple oil change as my usual mechanic was out of town. Imagine my surprise that 6 required repairs were "found" at the proposed cost of over $250. I decided just to have the oil changed and took the car to my usual mechanic when he returned. He knows the vehicle inside-out, and the repairs that were strenuously recommended by this place were completely fabricated. They prey on women's nativeness and use tactics to invoke fear that your vehicle may somehow be unsafe--unless of course, you fork over a great deal of cash. Mind you, all I needed was a simple oil change. Customers, especially women, BEWARE! Additionally, my first impression upon walking in was 2 mechanics eating their Burger King lunch in the customer waiting room watching TV. This is unprofessional. Staff needs their own dedicated lunchroom. read more
