We went to the shop to pick out our floor -- we redid the floor in our living, dining, kitchen and powder room in the downstairs of our condo, plus carpet that goes just up the stairs to the second floor. I was very happy with their selection and we picked out some nice options. Vahan was very helpful in getting what I needed to have the project approved by our HoA. The team who showed up led by Hector were amazing and professional. Our floors look phenomenal! The house was originally had carpet nailed over existing hardwood in several rooms and linoleum in another. I just finished the engineered wood demo and installation with Crescenta valley flooring. I am so pleased with the service and quality of work. First on pricing, I got quotes from 6 different places and CVF is the most reasonable one as they quoted demo on the exact sf, all other inflated the numbers and over charges. So without a doubt I went with CVF immediately after receiving their quote. There were so kinks on the wood chosen that the real wood looks quite different from the sample I saw in store, however they were very patient in giving me advice on how to make it work. At the end I stick with the choice and the end result is much better than I thought and I got complement from many on my new floor. Secondly, the installers are efficient and helpful. They helped move my furniture around many times due to space limitation and helped us touched up here and there for free. George and his son are awesome! I won a silent auction at my son's school and was totally in the market for new flooring in my bedroom. I have three cats who love to sleep in mamas room and let's just say, the carpet was in shambles! Low and behold, I'm now in the market for new floors after having already gotten hard wood flooring for the rest of the house, I wasn't feeling like going through it all again...then the silent auction and what can I say? I don't normally write reviews, but this situation calls for it. We had flooding in our house and our parquet flooring was ruined. Once I realized we needed new flooring, I contacted a number of companies including RR Contractors, Inc. Vahan responded promptly and came out to assess the situation. He provided me with some good insight as to what would happen in the restoration process and took measurements to provide me with a sample quote. Once we were ready to start looking at flooring options, he scheduled time to meet with me and my wife to review samples which was usually in the late evening since we both work. I met with other companies to get bids and collect other samples, and I shared with Vahan other flooring samples we liked. He was able to get the same materials for an excellent price. But I decided to do business with Vahan not for price, rather for his demeanor and patience with me and my wife and his responsiveness. And I'm glad I decided to go with him. His crew were always here on time and they did a great job. They clearly take pride in their work and had to do some custom things for our funky house. They endeavored to communicate with me on options AND challenges associated with my house. Using R R Contractors was a great experience from start to finish. Vahan came to measure our water damaged laminate flooring quickly after our initial call. He was responsive to all our questions (i.e. about the length of our job and when he could start the job). Luis, his installer, has 30+ years experience and was meticulous in his work. He worked hard and was able to fix the subfloor under our toilet perfectly when we discovered its poor condition when we removed the toilet. He has an eye for detail and cleaned up all debris without being asked when he left each day which was important to us because we have a dog and didn't have to worry about him getting hurt on anything left out. Our job included adding flooring planks to existing flooring in our family room, removing and replacing with new baseboards and re stretching carpeting that had been lifted so the sub floor and walls could dry. We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend them to any of our friends and family! read more
