Took two men's regular dress shirts to be laundered. I wasn't asked if I wanted starch or no starch. Went in To pick up today and the 2 laundered shirts were $12. Wtf? I now got home and inspected the shirts and the one shirt I only wore once now has The collar tabs showing because of the awful press job. Also what appears to be dirt off of the shirt press because the press hasnt been cleaned. I used to work in a dry cleaners. This place is overpriced and quite frankly sucks. Maybe those wealthy folks around Traville think $6 for a shirt to be laundered is fair but I know it's complete bs! Especially after them messing up a $90 dress shirt. I was going to wear this for a job interview. Now I can't. Thanks for stealing $12 from me to mess up my shirt. Dry clean depot it is from now on. Oh and by The way your service sucks! I had a full men's suit dry cleaned and pressed in mid town manhattan for $12, immaculately. And you charge $12 for 2 shirts? Come to this cleaners if you want to overpay for the same results you can get at dry clean depot for 1/2 the cost. I'm so pissed about my shirt. Thanks for nothing but stealing $12 from me. They do have the equipment for cleaning men's dress shirts right there, so they can reliably do same-day service. Unless you need that and can not get it somewhere else, they are significantly more expensive than other dry cleaners around the bethesda-rockville-chevy chase area. In fact, they are 75 cents more expensive per shirt, plus $1.50 if you want them in a box/folded. That amounted to nearly $10.00 more expensive than my usual cleaner for the number of shirts I brought in. The cleaning was the same as other places, so definitely price shop. In addition, I was told the incorrect price per shirt when I called there or I would not have gone, so be sure to get the name of the person you speak with if you call to get pricing information. They put out lots of discount coupons, just be aware that they are offset by a significantly higher base price -- marketing over good value. I should have expected it from a chain store as opposed to an independent dry cleaner. My loss, but I thought I would caution others. read more

Damaged an expensive puffer jacket by displacing the down to the point it's not functional anymore. The branch offered no form of notice, apology or restitution. When I spoke to the manager, she told me to reach out to the brand for recourse. I got my wedding dress dry cleaned here. I brought it on a special hanger that my sister-in-law made for me and I noticed as I was leaving and asked if I should take it with me. The staff said not a problem, they will make sure nothing happens to it. Well, they threw it away. I went to pick up my dress and they had no idea what I was talking about. I always liked using Crest Cleaners, but my most recent experience has changed that. I brought in my new daughter-in-law's wedding gown to be steamed out. We had brought it back from the wedding in the Mid-west and we wanted it to look good for the reception we were having here. I expected to be charged $80 to $100 or so, but I was charged $400 for the work -- it wasn't actually even cleaned. The wedding dress only cost us $800. brand new. I know that these dresses can be so much more, but I particularly felt taken advantage of in this instance. I could have bought a steamer and done the work myself for much less. read more

I've been very happy with them. Great customer service, and incredibly fast turnaround times. I'm used to 3-4 days wait time, so practically same-day cleaning is great. As I am somewhat massive, it's difficult and expensive to find suits that fit well. I'd gladly pay a little bit more to know that my stuff is being taken care of. This is my first time using Crest Cleaners. I had two wool winter coats that needed to be cleaned, and the total was around $32 without discount (*tell them you are using the yelp check-in discount when you're dropping off clothes!). Without the discount, they are a little bit more expensive, but I appreciate that they use non-abrasive chemicals and their great customer service. When I came to review Crest on yelp, I was expecting a fair number of reviews and an overall high score. To my surprise, I see that there are few reviews, most of them are filtered, and the overall score is about as same as Zip's cleaners.....I don't understand why. Needless to say, I may be a bit hasty in giving so much credit to Crest, but from all the dry cleaners I have been to in my life, Crest has all the things I've ever wanted. The feeling that I got when I first came here was similar to when I first bought an Ipod and stood in amazement at all the features that I ever wanted on a portable music device. So what's so great about this business? Here comes my list. 1) Environmentally friendly solvents. I'm an "organic" nut and I'm very conscientious about what I eat, what I breathe in, and what I touch, especially when it comes to carcinogenic materials. Perchloroethylene (Perc for short) is the cleaning agent used in almost all dry cleaners. That thing is highly toxic and Crest does not use it. 2) Quick turnaround for a same day pickup. if your clothes are In by 11am, you can pick it up by 5pm from Mon-Sat. For non-early birds like myself who like to get up late on weekends, this is perfect. 3) Open on Sunday. It is very convenient especially when you don't feel pressured to come back from work before the cleaners closes. You can drop off and pick up your clothes on the same weekend. Bravo! 4) Drop boxes. Crest provides you with bags to drop off your clothes into their dropbox late at night. If you have a credit card on file, pick up will be faster. 5) Friendly and professional staff. The staff were dressed in button down shirts and slacks. They are extremely professional and handled matters very quickly and efficiently. 6) Cleanliness. The facility is incredibly clean and well maintained. They are very well organized. The little things really stand out (organization of empty drop off bags etc) 7) Delivery service. They will deliver your clothing. I heard the attendant say that some customers request the cleaners to drop off the clothing inside the garage. That was a bit surprising. Now for all of these perks, there is a price to pay. The retail price for cleaning is quite expensive. It's $2.75 for a dress shirt, $7.55 for slacks and sweaters, and about $15-16 for a suit. Before you balk at these prices, you have to remember what your final cost is (which I think the negative reviewers never took into account). At Crest there are: 1) A rewards program that gives you 10% back and which you can redeem after $250 of cleaning ($25 reward). The computer system automatically tracks it and gives you the bonus when it's time. 2) Coupon on the website. The current promotion is 20% off with 10 articles of clothing. If you factor all that in, the price is comparable to most dry cleaners in the area, but you get ALL the perks that I listed above. It requires a bit of planning to get the discounts, but it's definitely worth it. As for other cheaper options, yes they do exist. Shirts always have creases on the first pickup. Check your clothes.. This is the third time in a row that they messed up. They even refused to give me a refund and the blonde woman who works here was extremely disrespectful. She refused to take the dreads out almost as if I am paying them to put hard creases on my shirt that I cannot take out myself. This was my first time using Crest Cleaners at Traville Gateway and, I must say, I was very impressed. All I needed was to have a button sewn on my dress pants and they treated me as though I was the most important customer they ever had. The folks who greeted me were ever so friendly, courteous and helpful. Kudos to my new friends, Iveth and Nataly. Both of them were great to deal with and made me want to go back. When I picked up my pants, not only did I find that the work had been done quickly and expertly but they seem to have included additional services for just the price of the button replacement. Besides the button, Crest seemed to have cleaned and pressed my pants for no additional charge. I was really surprised and happy with this service. I highly recommend this particular Crest location. On a whim, I tried Crest cleaners. It was close to work and convenient to the grocery store. Little did I know that I would a great deal. My clothing comes out great every time, you can go through a drive through(!!!!) but the best thing is the customer service. Stephany and Marie Kate are wonderful representatives of Crest. Crest provides good service and consistent quality in dry cleaning; we have been loyal customers for many many years, and still use them even though we are retired now, and don't have the same work-clothes volume as before. Love the drive through, and automatic billing; so easy. That said, I never drop off without a coupon. I love Crest - communication about pickup and deliveries is clear, and they make everything so easy for me. They don't charge for pickup and delivery but I think the overall prices are a little high, but that's fine if there's no delivery fee and they also provide coupons frequently so in the end it's worth it.
