It is a once a year opportunity to eat, every day for 4 days, from a variety of traditional delicious Greek food ( lamb shank, Spanakopita,Moussaka, Pastitsio, Greek Salad, Shish Kabob, Gyros, Dolamathes etc) and all the sweets & pastries. Pricing is low to moderate depending on what you get. A lamb shank platter the most expensive entree can be approx $16. Be sure and read the free Festival Album it has great tips for those learning about Greece and the cuisine peppered through out. A Live band The Golden Flame does a set noon-2 then after 5 daily, they do a great job of filling the Convention Center with toe tappin Greek Music. It is so much fun to watch all the ages get up and dance from babies to old ppl! You don't even have to know what you are doing, just grab a hand and dance along:) Live Greek Folk Dancers, the Demetrakia from St Demetrios in Baltimore expertly perform in traditional costumes nightly. There are a bunch of unique vendors of jewelry, art, imports etc for cool stuff you can't find in regular stores. Of course one of my fav booths is the Ladies Philoptochos Bakery Booth. I LOVE the cookies, any and all of them! They freeze well too;) A must are the Loukoumathes (fried honey balls), made to order drenched in honey syrup and topped with your choice of either cinnamon, powered sugar and/or crushed walnuts, they are so delish you will want the Papous Carryout size (it a great value). Only downside(hence 4 stars) is at night it can be very busy (lines), so will i go before 6pm to beat the crowds. It is a great facility all indoors air-conditioned, nice restrooms, family atmosphere, free and easy parking, free admission opens at noon daily, handicap/stroller accessible. They also have 2 raffles one to win $1000 the really cool raffle, that my friend won a couple years ago, sells ONLY 100 tickets @ $100 each to win $5000! We…read morehave been going to the Christmas parade here for about 14 years now and I still enjoy it as much as ever. All of the stores stay open later and the best part is that it's on Small Business Saturday. We always pick up some gifts for the holidays and some of the stores have wine/beer. The Life is Good Store has a live band after the parade and the crowd seems to gravitate there. We also went to the Fall festival this year. Beer & wine tasting with lots of vendors. Lots of food, music and grape stomping (that was pretty funny). If you are in the area check and see if anything is on their calendar. I know that you'll have a good time.

While I wasn't totally disappointed, I was underwhelmed. The music was good. The food ranged from good to excellent. After a day of hard raining, only a few parts of the field were muddy. There were also rides from a traveling carnival, which allowed for some much needed break times between feedings (of the adults, not kid). Lines were very long for some food, and no where could we find sliced brisket...odd, considering it's a BBQ fest. But anything you wanted fried could be had here: oreos, cornbread, pickles...you name it. All in all, I'd go again. But I think my anticipation for what this event would be far outweighed what it actually was or meant to be.

It gets crowded fast, so get there early. When we went, we got there about 5:10 (it started at 5:00) and we had to park in a field across the street because so many people were already there. Admission is $1, and the food prices are pretty reasonable, especially compared to a Greek restaurant. Beverages are expensive, but I saw a lot of people bringing in their own water bottles (I'll do that next time!) They had several booths, mostly food, but they also had a sand art booth (that used to be my favorite thing at the 4-H fair!!) a jewelry booth, an area in the center for demonstrations (on the night I went, it was hot to make baklava) and an area in the back with carnival-style rides! For food, they had a bakery booth with lots of Greek desserts and cookies (very reasonably priced, and very yummy) There was also a gyro booth ($7 for a packed and tasty gyro - not bad!) a booth making fresh loukoumades (kind of like little donuts with honey and cinnamon) a booth with "American Food" pfft... I didn't even go over there, but I did see some kids walking around with hot dogs, and then the "Taverna" with Greek platters. They had moussaka, pasticcio, spanikopita, Greek salad, gyro, leg of lamb, stuffed grape leaves, rice, souvlaki, all kinds of things that you could get a la carte or on a platter for pretty reasonable prices. The moussaka was very good, and so was the spanikopita. The pasticcio was kind of bland and the grape leaves were kind of mushy, and they were stuffed with only rice, and I prefer the ones with rice and meat inside! Overall though, the food was yummy, prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was fun! On Saturday night they held a traditional Greek wedding, I was out of town on Saturday, but I would have loved to go. Definitely something you should check out if you like Greek food :)

Bottom line: the organizers do a decent job with this event. With a few minimal tweaks, it could go from "OK" to great. The positives are easy. Unlike a lot of these beer/wine festivals, the event is never oversold. Are there crowds? sure. But with 40+ breweries offering 100+ samples, we've NEVER had to wait for a drink. There's a nice selection and cross section of breweries too. Brand new local craft shops like Oaklyn NJ's Tonewood set up next to national brands like Yeungling and Sam Adams. The more intimate local shops have knowledgeable brewers on hand to give some insight into the hot flavors of the summer. The non-beer vendors are great too. Want to take a break from sampling to grab a Nick's Roast Beef or sausage-and-peppers? You can. Smoke a cigar or play some lawn games? Available. So why has't the event taken off? Why have they cut down from three sessions to two sessions? A few irksome but easily fixed negatives: One is the live entertainment. In three years I have yet to see a halfway decent band. Occasionally I glance over at the stage, it's always the same story - a bunch of try-hard locals trying to fire up the two or three people watching their Sublime covers. Whatever the organizers are paying these guys is too much. You'd get the same/better effect with a DJ. Nobody is buying a ticket to the Beer Fest to stand and watch a band. Second is the logistics of the event. I buy a ticket for 12-4 or 6-10. I'd like to be able to enjoy the entire festival. The organizers won't open up the lines to get into the park until after 12. So realistically, even if you show up at 11:30, you won't be anywhere near the sampling tent until 12:15. On the back end, private security starts chasing people out at 3:45. That was odd - considering vendors were still pouring beers and the music was still playing. Overall it's a good event. A few minor attention-to-detail fixes and it could become the best craft beer fest at the Jersey Shore.

First things first: Park at the school and take the trolley over. It's a dollar round-trip and worth it. I think calling it a "Blueberry Festival" was a bit of a stretch. There were some blueberry things, sure, but I think I saw just as many folks selling stuff with lavender in it, but we didn't call it a "lavender festival." There were easily over a hundred vendors on the grounds and maybe 5 of them dedicated to blueberries. Highly recommend the blueberry ice cream from Island Creamery (but if you missed the festival, you can always get it at their storefront). Also, Sugarbakers' blueberry pie was killer, though to be fair, I am a sucker for blueberry pie. There were a few trucks and stands selling proper food, including a shawarma truck and a Greek food truck. So you could get a full meal or just graze from some folks selling snacks and pastries. Lots of artisans selling their wares from clothing, sculptures, jewelry, paintings, etc. Several folks sold their homemade tea blends. There were several musicians on the rotation, so enjoy the live music too! While about half of the vendors were outside, the other half were inside the center and it's a great way to escape the heat and humidity of July and enjoy some AC. The only other review on here (as of this writing) is 9 years old and while I don't know what it was like then, this seemed well-run and quite popular. If you're in the area while it's running, come check it out!

He sells electricity to 10 people who he puts all around 1 outlet. He has no fears about telling a vendor that they are unimportant. and he doesn't promise exclusivity unless you are willing to pay for it. He prefers to have arguments with his staff and vendors in front of customers. he likes to have witnesses, and he likes the drama. The show's customers dont buy much, and they are definitely not flying out the door with high end art. The fact the festival photo is a photo of the guy should speak columns.

Honestly, I'm surprised I've yet to review this festival. It was one of my favorite festivals many…read moremoons ago when I lived in Collingswood. It takes over Haddon Ave. for two days in August and is filled with lots of lovely vendors from artisans to food. It's fun to be able to pop into the local shops too when it gets to be too hot outside also.
