First things first: Park at the school and take the trolley over. It's a dollar round-trip and worth it. I think calling it a "Blueberry Festival" was a bit of a stretch. There were some blueberry things, sure, but I think I saw just as many folks selling stuff with lavender in it, but we didn't call it a "lavender festival." There were easily over a hundred vendors on the grounds and maybe 5 of them dedicated to blueberries. Highly recommend the blueberry ice cream from Island Creamery (but if you missed the festival, you can always get it at their storefront). Also, Sugarbakers' blueberry pie was killer, though to be fair, I am a sucker for blueberry pie. There were a few trucks and stands selling proper food, including a shawarma truck and a Greek food truck. So you could get a full meal or just graze from some folks selling snacks and pastries. Lots of artisans selling their wares from clothing, sculptures, jewelry, paintings, etc. Several folks sold their homemade tea blends. There were several musicians on the rotation, so enjoy the live music too! While about half of the vendors were outside, the other half were inside the center and it's a great way to escape the heat and humidity of July and enjoy some AC. The only other review on here (as of this writing) is 9 years old and while I don't know what it was like then, this seemed well-run and quite popular. If you're in the area while it's running, come check it out!

He has no fears about telling a vendor that they are unimportant. and he doesn't promise exclusivity unless you are willing to pay for it. He prefers to have arguments with his staff and vendors in front of customers. he likes to have witnesses, and he likes the drama. The show's customers dont buy much, and they are definitely not flying out the door with high end art. The fact the festival photo is a photo of the guy should speak columns.

For something that's called a "balloon and wine festival" that lasts nine hours, there were no balloons for 7 hours of their 9 hours of operation and no wine tasting. You pay by the glass ($6) or by the bottle. A wine festival does not have just four wines; the range of wines on the Triple Creek Winery website has far more wines than what they offered at the festival. No other wine types. It's extremely misleading. There are vendors that sell arts, crafts, jewelry, Maryland flags painted on wood ($200), and Solar City was even there to sell you energy-efficient solar panels! There's also a gutter-cleaning service ready to explain their products to you. Good grief. Note that these vendors likely paid the festival organizers to have a table/presence at the festival and thus the potential of thousands of future customers. You're paying $20 and fees to be sold the chance that the hot air balloons might go up. $35 on-site parking or $5 off-site parking with a shuttle (a school bus). If you get there at noon, you'll sit around for 8 hours for balloons. These folks cast a wide net for the term "weather permitting," which means anything more than a 6 mph wind the balloons cannot go up. The balloons evidently did go up around 7:30 pm, and the event ends at 9 pm, so that's your window in but there's no way of knowing ahead of time. It's just roll of dice. You go in that sweet window, you're happy; you don't, you're disappointed. My friend spoke to the man in charge/owner, a bellicose man who sternly said that he doesn't know when the wind will die down, and he has no control over it, but he certainly was counting cash as it rolled in from otherwise duped visitors. He told us rudely that we were free to leave and that no refunds will be given. Then he said we should go listen to the live music, which was a local artist singing to no audience. He then randomly mentioned 6,000 visitors on Friday. Seeing all of the disappointed reviews from dozens of others who came to the event page on Facebook and the winery's own page on Facebook to express their concerns about this event being a waste or time, misleading, and overpriced led me to wonder if there was a Yelp page; there wasn't until now. The signage for parking was poor, the communication was lacking and extremely poor, the festival website is confusing and disorganized. I have already informed friends and family that this is a waste of money and time. The festival, and the organizers, are full of hot air. Volunteers are staffed at the location. I'm happy that they do have satisfied visitors but I was certainly not one of them. We drove an hour and half to get there. Definitely not worth it.

Who carries cash anymore when there's Square??? There was no flights for wine tasting available-only by the glass at $5 per glass. I probably would have purchased a couple of flights while waiting around for the balloons...but since I felt like I was already getting overcharged-at $30 per person, I think offering full flights, even at a small cost should be part of the event- I bought ONE glass of wine and that's it! Since there's not much to do when the balloons aren't around, there should be more things to occupy time. Perhaps tours of the vineyards, the distillery, more carnival games, more live entertainment glass blowing, history of hot air balloons...anything! There is zero shade! The two tents were set up on either side of the fields, but not anywhere near the stage with the band...who is going to stand in the 90+ sun to watch an unknown band??? Not me and apparently nobody else (since there was nobody watching the poor guys perform). Water stations even if water jugs were filled with tap- or spots where bottled water could be purchased quickly. I felt like this event isn't worth more than $10-$15 per person and they charged up to $35! I've been to free events that was much better than the Absent Balloon festival. Very disappointed and dissatisfied since I, like many others drove more than 2 hours to see this non-event. I will not be going again, I wouldn't recommend this festival in the future.

The concerts were held at different venues around the city (with pricing from $29 to $72). The three concerts that we chose were all held at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center and they were : Friday night -Al Jarreau with Marc Antoine and Steve Cole, Sat 4pm- Pieces of a Dream with Eric Roberaon and Sat 10:30pm- All Star Super Show w/ Brian Simpson, Boney James, Eugene Groove, Nick Colionne, Chuck Loeb, Nathan East and Eric Roberson. All of the shows were outstanding. Although Al Jarreau is getting old and can't quite hit the notes like he used to, it was an honor seeing this jazz legend. It was a weekend of pure jazz that any enthusiast would have thoroughly enjoyed. In addition to the concerts, there was jazz being performed by local artist in the various establishments on in and around Rehoboth occuring during the early afternoon until late in the evening. The local fire station hosted an afternoon jazz band that featured a young female saxophonist that could give the likes of Boney James and Kim Waters a run for their money. It was awesome! We couldn't come to the beach without actually going on the beach, so we strolled the boardwalk and walk out on the sand, taking in magnificent views of the Atlantic on such a wonderful, but brisk and sunny weekend. We also visited the local shops and came away with tasty nut brittle and souvenir shirts for $5 a pop! One thing to mention is that based on my observations, Rehoboth Beach is very animal friendly with folks walking their dogs along the streets and boardwalk and local merchants setting out water and treats! So check with the various hotels in the area for pet friendly rooms and bring your pooch along for the trip! We will be back for next year's festival indeed.

It was FREE and plenty of parking available on the street, although if you want to park in their 'dirt parking lot', then it's $10 per car. Yikes! Fortunately, we were able to find free parking, woot! :) This art festival is pretty big, reminds me of those summer street fairs in New York or Huntington Beach (by the pier). It wasn't that crowded around noon on Saturday; however, it got more packed as the day passed by. There were at least 3-4 food trucks, and banks were there handing out freebies to the public. So fascinating to look at artwork and check out local art pieces / see the artists. The festival was held right near the local library and park, so location was great! Sunny weather helped too. :) If you have a good 1 hour to spare, then check this place out! It's a fun way to spend your weekend in Malibu.

Typically it's the same staff/vendors every year so you can really get familiar with the people and what they offer. Everyone is always pretty nice (of course there will be some bad apples) and all the events are organized well so there isn't much confusion or chaos for people who aren't very settled in to the event. It can be hot so a lot of people tend to go out night for the best experience if you're looking to ride rides. But most livestock events are held during the day; depends on what you're into. This event is sure to bring fun and a good time to whoever comes, and I would definitely recommend a few days of it to anyone.

It is a once a year opportunity to eat, every day for 4 days, from a variety of traditional delicious Greek food ( lamb shank, Spanakopita,Moussaka, Pastitsio, Greek Salad, Shish Kabob, Gyros, Dolamathes etc) and all the sweets & pastries. Pricing is low to moderate depending on what you get. A lamb shank platter the most expensive entree can be approx $16. Be sure and read the free Festival Album it has great tips for those learning about Greece and the cuisine peppered through out. A Live band The Golden Flame does a set noon-2 then after 5 daily, they do a great job of filling the Convention Center with toe tappin Greek Music. It is so much fun to watch all the ages get up and dance from babies to old ppl! You don't even have to know what you are doing, just grab a hand and dance along:) Live Greek Folk Dancers, the Demetrakia from St Demetrios in Baltimore expertly perform in traditional costumes nightly. There are a bunch of unique vendors of jewelry, art, imports etc for cool stuff you can't find in regular stores. Of course one of my fav booths is the Ladies Philoptochos Bakery Booth. I LOVE the cookies, any and all of them! They freeze well too;) A must are the Loukoumathes (fried honey balls), made to order drenched in honey syrup and topped with your choice of either cinnamon, powered sugar and/or crushed walnuts, they are so delish you will want the Papous Carryout size (it a great value). Only downside(hence 4 stars) is at night it can be very busy (lines), so will i go before 6pm to beat the crowds. It is a great facility all indoors air-conditioned, nice restrooms, family atmosphere, free and easy parking, free admission opens at noon daily, handicap/stroller accessible. They also have 2 raffles one to win $1000 the really cool raffle, that my friend won a couple years ago, sells ONLY 100 tickets @ $100 each to win $5000!
