PLEASE READ!!!!! I have been clean now for well over two years and in no way was this thanks to Crestview. My treatment consisted of being bussed 20 minutes to a building w/ a few rooms that we rotated throughout the 8+ hours a day we were there. These all day "meetings" were never instructed by licensed staff and almost all of them were ex-addicts (overall very nice) making $17.50/hr. working psychologist I was supposed to meet w/ daily, I only saw privately 3x's. I was there to safely come off benzo's prescribed by a physician, and although I never abused them, Crestview had their hooks on me because I have great insurance. After my 30 days was up I was told by the psychologist (who saw me briefly 3x over 4 weeks) told me I wasn't ready to leave and I had to stay an additional 30 days. When I had called initially to check myself in I was very clear that I was signing up for the 30 day program AND NOT the 60 days the man on the phone said sure. On day 28 I was told that I was "digressing" which was a lie because I felt better than good. After I explained that I signed up for 30 days and not 60, she told me "it's 30 or 60 if days depending on the Dr.'s discretion". was told that I was free to leave but they would not bring me back to my apartment because they said I was leaving against their orders. My family is from Connecticut and I was alone in Asheville 3 hours away from my apartment without any way to reach my family. My phone, wallet and all other necessary personal items were locked up in their office. I was told I'd have to wait 72 hours before I got my phone and wallet. It was February in the Blue Ridge Mountains and I had a flight leaving Charlotte the next morning to see my dying grandmother, but no one cared. I had to walk over a mile to use a man's phone at a bus stop to have my mother call the police to come see what was happening...thankfully my mother believed what I was telling her and not only called the police but got in touch with Senator Julie Mayfield. My things were finally given back and I had to pay $352.00 for an uber to take me almost 3 hours to Douglas airport in Charlotte to fly home. It's tragic how many people I saw being held there...every couple of days someone came back in the room in tears because they were told they could not leave...family members and loved ones were also deceived to gain support for keeping their loved ones there longer because Crestview knows most patients all have habits of lying and manipulating so they use that to their advantage. Crestview and its management have perfected the art of isolating patients and billing CRAZY $$$ to your insurance. ***Senator Mayfield already had an investigation into Crestview*** I'm proud to say that I've maintained my sobriety. I'm happy and healthy and have a lot of people who helped along the way, but Crestview is most certainly NOT on that list. I RECEIVED NO REAL TREATMENT AT THIS FACILITY!!!! Did not do what they promised. I felt like just a $. My insurance paid nothing. First impression was terrible. Apartment was dirty and had mouse droppings in the drawers of cabinets. Blinds did not close, too close to a busy highway therefore no sleep. I needed to use my phone but they kept it from me for 15 days. Horrible. read more

A PHP program covers all services, then before I was released Caroline said I owed $3000. I will say I have some of the best insurance that you can buy. The patients that I was in treatment with were some amazing and crazy folks! Mgmt failed to follow up, and for 47 Days my insurance coughed up $52,000. I spoke with insurance, and I was told that you do not have to pay. Little did I know, CVRC kept calling and emailing me saying I owed. The patients even told me don't pay the bill, since they charged insurance and I have no deductibles on my insurance. The food is inadequate, so you have to come together as a crew to find something to eat. There's really no breakfast, a dumb lunch. I did learn about mental health, but I knew I wouldn't stay sober after leaving due to the trauma I experienced, and I really wanted a sober lifestyle. On my first night, my roommate decided to skip town, and the staff really didn't care. Throughout my 8 week stay, the drama got worst! There was no way to communicate with family or friends, Cassie and gentleman (liaisons) who oversaw us attempted to extort my family. The staff are supportive to some degree, but at the same time they don't want to see you get sober. If you want to be sober, go to ARC or OASIS or Wilmington Treatment Center, stay clear of this place. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!! if you have dietary needs they do not seem to care. Had to ask so many people before I got food I could eat and by the time I got it, it was time to leave. I lost 15 pounds in my stay there and when I informed the nurse she said "wow I wish I could lose weight that fast." How helpful! If you have a question do not except a clear answer. They always say to ask whoever is not there at the moment and it's out of their control. They say you will get your phone at a certain phase but you DON'T! you need to sign up on a phone list to use it for a MONITORED call, and that phone list fills up the second you arrive to the clinic. Only 12 spots but have 30+ clients? There are some amazing staff, that are trying their best to support the clients but the whole program is a mess. When I asked the director for a grievance she "had to find it." One was not given to me at all that day. I even had someone call to let them know I was coming in for one that day. Luckily the therapist there had my back and found them for me. Not even the clinical director? They also claim to check in on you at the apartments every 30 minutes. I was maybe checked in on 3 times my whole visit. And no locked doors at the apartments. I was also dress coded for wearing shorts and told to find longer pants, but they had none to give me. I had to find them myself and protect myself from all the "prevented men" that were there. This was told to me by the director at the apartments. How safe that makes me feel! I do not suggest this place for any females who are trying to recover. The groups are male dominated and they degrade woman any chance they can. Also do not pay that 3,000. I was told I owed the money directly to Crestview, not my insurance. I called to follow up with the billing team once I left and they said I owed the money to insurance, not crestview? I immediately called my insurance and was told I owed no money to them . After talking to many different rude workers at Crestview on the phone and waited the 30 days like they told me to wait my bill was magically gone. 3,000 to nothing.... DO NOT PAY THEM THAT MONEY!!!!! read more

Under new ownership. Horrible! Patients getting high, fighting and major low life's. They thrive on charging as much as they can to your insurance. Food is junk, cereal, frozen nuggets, uncrustables. Kitchen is not a real kitchen and tiny. No stove just a plug in cooking eyelet. Only get one on one therapy once a week. No outings. Lots is sit around lag time. They take anyone with insurance. Murders and thugs. Do not send your loved ones here. Waste of time. It is not like the CrestView that existed in the past. This is a money grab. BEWARE! read more

PLEASE don't think about going here. I went a year ago and I'm still having nightmares. I will tell you this. It is an insurance scam. They run your insurance every week to see if they will continue to pay. Once your insurance runs out so do you. There was NOTHING that came out good from going there. zero! and I mean ZERO stars. was kicked out on the street, with all of my belongings and my dog. on my first day of rehab. after taking medicine that I have never taken before. beside of a fucking dumpster. 4 hours from home. with no cell phone. no money no nothing! and they refused to transport me home after bringing me 4 hours from home. all on my first day- bc I was "causing scene yelling". lmao. people are withdrawing and detoxing when they go to rehab! but- god forbid you tell a staff member to fuck off bc they are inconsiderate and unprofessional! LAURA RILEY DOES NOT TOLERATE BEING DISRESPECTED. Ever. Try Me! I promise you'll be embarrassed just like thir staff! I went to Crestview recovery center in January 2023 and I was eager to start my sober journey as I was a user for over 15 years when I got there everything seemed to be going good. I quickly met my counselor that would be dealing with all my personal issues that I would be having while staying at Crestview Center. She was a woman and I could tell from meeting her that she treated her male clients differently than her female clients because right in front of me she would talk to her male clients in a very nice manner and then switch to a very mean demeanor when she would talk to the females. As my stay went on, I proceeded to become friends with a lot of different people there and my counselor didn't like that I was friends with as many people as I was so in her eyes, her cure to this problem was to sneak into my apartment while I was asleep and steal all of my make up and when I confronted her the next day about it, she said well maybe if you didn't wear make up you wouldn't be so popular (even though I never once put on makeup a day that I was there I just brought it just in case)... I immediately became enraged with anger because she invaded my personal space while I was asleep without my consent. Also, while being there, there was a counselor that said she hated dealing with us because she felt like we were all kindergarten kids and no IQ. If I could remember the names of all of these counselors, I would put them out there for everyone to know, but for the life of me, I cannot remember because I guess I tried to suppress all of these memories because they were terrible experiences while I was there.. (I think maybe one of their names started with a C ) also on their website they give false advertisement as far as the outings you go on they say you will be going on a lot of hikes, which I never went on one every time they would talk about going on one they would come up with some excuse as to why we were not going and then when they did come up with an outing it was something silly and childish like going bowling or skating granted I was grateful for getting out of the facility and and having fun it just seemed like they tried their hardest to do the cheapest activities possible. And when you pay so much for this service they are supposed to provide I felt like I was lied to from the start just so they could get a check. When searching for a rehab facility I picked this facility specifically because of all of the amenities they promised to give you because I am a very outdoorsy person, and I thought that would help me in my recovery and every single thing that they promised on their website was false, and none of it was true And on top of it, the faculty was very unprofessional. Also I had multiple items stolen from me while I was there and I knew exactly who stole the items and nothing was done about the situation at all and none of my items were recovered. Some were priceless items that meant a lot to me they might not have been valuable but they were to me. read more

I currently have 3 years and some change of clean time and still stay in close connection with crestview and there staff.
