This situation is extremely frustrating and disappointing. The staff working there are nice, but I feel like I got scammed. I am extremely disappointed with my experience, and the situation has only worsened after I shared my honest review. Since posting my feedback, I have been receiving excessive and persistent phone calls--up to 15 times a day pressuring me to remove my review. This behavior feels inappropriate, unprofessional, and harassing. In addition to the original issue where I came in for a specific painful tooth but received treatment on other teeth that I did not need I am now also being blamed for the treatment decisions that were made and recommended by the provider. This is unacceptable. Patients rely on dental professionals to diagnose and recommend appropriate care. Shifting responsibility onto the patient after the fact, especially when the outcome has been ongoing pain and financial burden, is deeply concerning. At this point, I am not only dissatisfied with the treatment itself but also with how this situation is being handled. I tend to be a very anxious patient who's filled with never-ending questions. Dr. Weber explained the entire process to me every step of the way. He showed me x-rays and explained everything that was necessary, why it was, and how it would be performed. He was very patient (and willing) to answer my many questions throughout the journey. I chose to be sedated for the procedure and even the anesthesiologist he works with was excellent. When I awoke, I was greeted with the excellent news that he was able to perform all the procedures AND place the implant simultaneously! Post-op, I was surprised at how minimal my discomfort, pain and swelling were (I didn't even need over-the-counter pain medication!) I'm glad I found Dr. Weber and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs oral surgery.

My mother & I were first, however another person came about 9:45 & his appointment was at 9:30. Once we were able to go in, a couple more people started to come & we were wondering "what time is their appointment" because my mother's was at 10am. I heard a woman who came in say her appointment was also at 10 & there is only one dentist at this office to my knowledge, so they double book appointments, which I'm not really a fan of. My mother also informed me that if you cancel your appointment within 24hrs there is a $100 charge, which I'm not a fan of that either. With life happening in this new world we live in with Covid existing, I just feel some grace should be given. I won't be coming here for services for those reasons. The staff was polite & professional which is always appreciated, but they should be getting there on time or change the opening hours as well as don't double book.

Very responsive and takes the time to make things right. Con - Dr. Ricci is not very good and with all the dentists out there, you have to be able to do better. In fact, i have a hard time characterizing here as competent and my family no longer trusts her. We have had quite simply too many issues with work she has done that has led to expensive and painful procedures, procedures that would have not been necessary had Dr. Ricci done things right the first time. We're talking about root canals, extractions and needlessly broken teeth here. We're talking about another dentist starting a conversation by saying, "well . . . i don't really like to say anything bad about another dentist but . . . " With all the dentists to be found, I am not sure there is any reason to let Dr. Ricci anywhere near your teeth. UPDATE - one of my family members, having lost faith, saw another dentist who stated that Dr. Ricci had failed to fill a tooth properly leaving significant decay UNDER a filling, thereby assuring the necessity of a root canal. That makes twice that we have been told her poor work has led to root canals that could have been avoided. Oh, and the family member was also told that Dr. Ricci missed three cavities in a visit (with X-rays) just the previous week. Con - The nurse / receptionist / biller can be incredibly unpleasant and seems very easily put out. Just not a nice person. She is lazy, makes mistakes either by accident or on purpose, blames anyone else in sight because of course it is not her fault, and even went so far as to become rude and curt when I refused to pay more than my insurer's required co-pay. She seems to be a petty soul. The other reviewer (Becky) who made a similar comment about this person is indeed correct in my opinion and Becky's remarks are consistent with my experience. BTW, does anyone else think that the MZ reviewer is actually the person in question? Seems pretty logical to me - that defense was just a little too strong and precise for it not to have been personal. UPDATE - the new dentist, who can see the same insurance company information as the old one, has been able to confirm the mistakes and the extent to which the nurse / receptionist / biller was being difficult just to be difficult.

They checked my dental insurance before I got to the office and knew my policy did not cover the x-ray they needed and never contacted me to tell me beforehand and expected me to come out of pocket over $200 the same day. 3. When one of the ladies from the front desk came into the room to explain my policy to me, I asked her why no one called me to inform and I was not given an answer. It was just very matter of fact and not apologetic at all. I would suggest going somewhere else where the staff treats you better. I was referred to this dentist. My first impression was they were money hungry b/c I came in to get an opinion and potentially find a permanent dentist. He takes X-rays that I had to pay for fully out of pocket (I have insurance) at the end of that appt he says the next appt will be for X-rays of my full mouth and a cleaning. why couldn't you do the full X-rays that day? Against my better judgment I proceeded with getting fillings at this location. Towards the end of the appointment I started getting a headache (my mouth has been open for longer than an hour with barely any breaks most likely 0). The whole time I had a suction piece in my mouth that aIso keeps my mouth open restricting me from closing it. I raise my hand to notify Dr. Joshua Davis. He told he he was going to be done in five minutes and did not let me say anything. My temple was throbbing on the same side I was getting fillings, I decided to take out the suction instead of being ignored again. Dr Joshua Davis says "Ughhh I'm going to have to start over" Would you rather me pass out in your chair and sue?? I told him I had a headache and I just needed like 10 seconds. He says he can't just leave holes in my teeth and asks if I meant that I'm leaving. I told him AGAIN that I just needed 10 seconds, I have a headache. I never said I was leaving or got up slightly. I continued having a light headache on and off for the rest of the week. At the end of my appt there was a lot of extra product around my teeth, I felt a little hole in the middle. I asked if it would fall off eventually, he said yes. Later on I still feel a small hole and decide to make an appointment. I go in and Dr. Davis says it was extra product and made it seem like he was going to fix it. He proceeds to drill deeper making a bigger dip into my tooth. He asked if it felt better, I told him I still feel a dip. He said he would add something idk. After he said "All done". It didn't feel like he did anything. Now had a dip in my tooth, no longer a small hole. I was still numb and I'm not a dentist so I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I should not have. Deanna asked if everything was better or something and I said "I still feel a dip in my tooth". No response. The numbing is wearing off, the more I feel my tooth the more I don't understand why there's now a deep curvature in the middle of my tooth. I call the office I speak with Deanna and explain the situation, she writes it down. I ask what's the best time to call and speak with Dr. Davis and mention I can only call on my work breaks. After a few times of me calling at the "right" time and not being able to speak with him, I made an appt. I go in and he says "Your tooth is concave and I'm going to make it convex" I remember bc you said it twice or more. I understand what you were saying, I DO NOT understand why you left it concave in the first place. He told me he had to drill deeper into my tooth so the product can adhere. Third times the charm huh? You WOULD NOT have to keep drilling deeper into my tooth if you did it correctly the first time. The lesson is trust your intuition, always speak up and people will always try to play in your face.

They are both patient and easy going. Shelley provides world class customer service as does Dr. Davis, they compliment each other well and are a good representation of what all provider offices and staff should look to strive for. Sadly many provider offices have subpar bedside manner and staff with attitude. I'm just glad Metro Dental sets and achieves high standards. Other providers should take note! I can't say enough good things about them both!
