Absolutely appalling service…read more  Taxi to airport booked for between 6.30 and 7am for airport run. Checked on whereabouts at 6.50 and told 10 minutes away. Called back at 7.10 for update, operator said he'd find out and call back, which he did at 7.20 to say taxi broken down and no other vehicles available.  What kind if service is this? 50 minutes later than expected and dropped at last minute with only a simple verbal apology. Disgraceful behaviour from a company that states on its answering service about moving large quantities of people. I wouldn't trust you to walk my dog!!!!

The phone operator was quite polite when I first called to inform him of what had just happened, and while I understand he only had a one sided adrenaline fuelled rant from me, accusing me of breaking the law by being on my phone and driving, doesn't give me much confidence that he will speak to the lunatic driver! Numerous phone calls to find out where they were the taxi eventually arrived 20 minutes late and 5 minutes before the appointment time. I was outside waiting with my dog when the driver came on to the street. He pulled up, and promptly refused to take my dog which was the whole point. I was providing car seat covers to protect the car but no he wasn't having it. I rang millennium to say I had booked the car to carry the dog I was told "That's the drivers choice" and they switch person then promptly hung up on me. I do not rate them at all after that. Thank goodness I have kind friends who stepped in to help.

Sometimes they're early, sometimes they're a bit overly talky, sometimes they have to get their sat…read morenavs out (at least they have them!), but overall, New City, my nearest taxi company when I lived in South Manchester, are downright fab. I still use them when I to and fro there for various reasons. We've used them countless times since moving to the suburbs, and they've not let us down. In fact my visiting friends asked one of the drivers for a curry house recommendation in Rusholme and he was only happy to oblige... and it was one of the nicest curries we've ever had. Plus there's one driver who always takes me to SafeStore and is as friendly as they come - last time he even showed me some pictures of his lovely family on his phone (while keeping his eyes on the road, obvs... I'm not daft) and asked me about my driving lessons. He even helps carry my ridiculous volume of boxes to and fro. He's a keeper. If that doesn't make them a good cab company, then nothing else will! Note: There is however one driver that I've since nicknamed as having The Deathcar. That guy scorches over speedbumps like some kind of demon. Kinda smells like booze too. Meh, it's an adventure...?

After an hour I called new moon they turned up in 5 minutes! I then got a text message staying they are "don't bother booking again we're black listing your number and share this with other companies" I have never had a problem with a texi in my life and left feeling very upset.
