We asked for a quote to improve existing ductwork, adding a couple of registers and replacing all grills. The quote was provided, but when we contacted Chuck that we were ready to move forward (he had previously picked the time as February or March before it got too hot) he became evasive and behaved as though he did not want to do the job, but never coming right out and saying it. I'm not sure what happened, but we never received a straight answer (only short, curt replies to texts) other than a "busy" and now I'm concerned that if we have trouble with the relatively new unit we'll get the run around again. My last text asking when he might do it went unanswered. I share this experience so that others may be made aware that Chuck may not follow through or follow up. I was surprised, and disappointed, at the change in approach from when he installed our unit to what I experienced when we were ready to move forward with the second part of the work. I had also promised him that he could install a new unit in another recently purchased one bedroom condominium here at Merritt, but given my most recent experience I withdrew my recommendation and another firm will be hired. In summary, I don't know what happened, but the level of interest and dialogue from Chuck and Awesome became as different as night and day from when he installed our unit to the present. A simple explanation was warranted, but never materialized.

Disappointing Experience with Canady Heating & Air…read more I am very disappointed with my experience. I was given an appointment for July 20th and rearranged my entire day to be available. While I understand that HVAC companies become extremely busy during periods of extreme heat, communication and respect for a customer's time are still essential. By approximately 1145hrs, I had not received any updates, so I reached out using the text number I was provided. I did receive a response around 1200hrs and it came from a different number simply stating that I was still on the schedule and technicians would be working until 2000hrs. The issue isn't just the long service window it's the lack of meaningful communication. By 1700hrs, I still had no estimated arrival time. If a technician were to call at 1900hrs and arrive close to 2000, it raises a legitimate question: would there really be enough time to properly inspect, diagnose, and discuss a complex HVAC issue? A thorough evaluation shouldn't feel rushed at the end of a long workday. If a company is overbooked, it's better to be honest with customers and reschedule rather than ask someone to reserve an entire day with little or no communication. Customers have jobs, families, and other responsibilities, and their time deserves the same respect as the company's schedule. I chose Canady Heating & Air because they came highly recommended, so this experience was especially disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them. Better communication, realistic scheduling, and greater respect for customers' time would go a long way toward improving the overall service experience. Update: Immediately after this review, I received a text from the first number 1722hrs stating: "***** Canady's Heating, Air, and Plumbing: You are currently our technician's next appointment. I recently needed to get help from another commercial appliance repair company. I described the issue I was having and they were at my place within 2.5 hours. The service representative was great at being knowledgeable on his trade. He made sure I understood what he was describing and I did. To my surprise not only did he determine the problem with my walk-in cooler it was shocking to find out I had already paid a supposedly top company for the exact repair not more than a year or so again. I actually called the previously company first and was told l had no immediate concerns to worry about within two minutes of the two techs listening to my unit. That was 4 days before I was needing a response , my unit was cooling fine but not running correctly, then it just quit cooling like it was supposed to. When I tried getting the old company out they had blocked me from service because they over billed me on original call September 3rd. Yet after numerous of emails to the manager of the old company I was to say very irritated, that's when I contacted Bolton Air. They didn't leave until every test was performed for efficiency after the leak repair on the Freon leak which was causing me problems. Which in turn l had already paid the original company to fix just over a year ago. Not only did that company charge me a lot to supposedly fix my Freon leak but the tech never rechecked to see if all was good he just picked up his tools and wrote up an invoice. I will be using Bolton air from here on out because they do business old school , you actually deal with a person from the start, so if I could l would rate them higher than 5 l say l am 110% satisfied. I reset the alarm on the panel only for it to come back on later. All thru the night I had to get up and shut this alarm off. The next morning I contacted Dyess and a Service Tech came out and inspected. His answer was we need a new board that is located in the attic. This was a Thursday afternoon around 5:30. He was going back to the office and find out when and where a board could located. Today is September 11, and we still have no answer as to when we will get a replacement part. I have called the office number twice, one being this morning. Still no answer about the part. No one calls you back!!!!!
