Not cooling down and so hot in Savannah now~ Communicated with Michael at noon, and he showed up the same evening to fix it! We eventually had a compressor that failed way before it should have and it turns out everything was installed incorrectly initially. They then had the gall to charge $500 for a service fee. My initial inquiry, through their website, was ignored. Then, I got an appointment by phone - weeks out - and they cancelled it the week of the appointment. The technician was great but did not have the right filter to install in our system so they have to come back... A different technician returned to install the correct filter. He was careful to explain that they had charged me too little, that the filter would be almost twice the price next year, and that this cost them $40 odd dollars. And so I have fired Byrd. I am going to find a local HVAC company that does not treat their customers as an afterthought. There are literally a hundred HVAC companies in the metro Savannah area. There is absolutely no reason to waste your time with a disorganized and unresponsive company. The owner's response on to my negative review on google was to make an untrue personal attack. I wish to express my sincere appreciation to Doug and John, of Indoor Climate Experts, my trusted…read moreHVAC Technicians who diagnosed, ordered, and repaired an issue with my Attic Air Handler Unit that could have cost me thousands. I discovered that my 5 Ton WaterFurnace Air Handler Unit (in the attic) had standing water in the secondary drain pan. This means that my primary drain pan under the coil was either stopped up or leaking. (Nobody wants leaking water in their attic). I called my HVAC Experts at Indoor Climate and they immediately came out to determine the best course of action. Doug found that the primary inside drain pan was cracked and leaking into the secondary drain pan. He had a new one ordered and he came back with John and installed it today. Amazingly, they were able to remove the old interior drain pan (man was it in bad shape) and install the new in just an hour. Doug and John worked as dedicated professionals and even made my wife happy by cleaning up after their work. They checked out the operation of the unit, and the drain, and reported their findings to me and their office. Brian, the owner of Indoor Climate even offered me a 20% discount on the estimate because of Doug and John's expertise. Doug shared with me that this was the fourth one they've replaced this year. My next door neighbor recommended Indoor Climate because he trust them to maintain all of his rental properties. It can be a challenge to find the right people to do a good job. I trust Indoor Climate Experts to consistently exceed my expectations. You will too.
