I've been searching online and the boring box stores for some good inexpensive quality speakers for…read moremy personal laptop setup. Fortunately, I decided to venture down a search into the more local small businesses and came upon this cool old school & quirky shop. I think the gentleman's name was Jim. Older dude that could pass as your nerdy techy friend who's probably collected every tech gadget since the original Tron came out. Told him what I was looking for but I gradually got discouraged as all he was showing me were the bigger style bigger sound units that are common for home systems. But, alas! With a little patience we revealed a new treasure: smaller desk top speakers! Minor speaker mesh stains on the front but super decent with a little TLC. He was super friendly and chill, even making an effort to find parts that could potentially be missing from this set (like compatible power cord). It also came with an amp box that I've got sitting below my desk table, which was a nice surprise (I keep it plugged in for the deeper sounds or just unplugged for more "regular(?)" crispy audio). All that for a really awesome deal; I think it was something like $15-30 or something crazy like that. Good shit, dude! Thank you. If you're looking for small speakers, I probably snagged the last set but I definitely recommend this place for any help with acheiving 2 things at once: reusing/upcycling any sort of old working electronics and supporting a damn good local friendly small business.

I want to shoutout some of the people at Geek Squad!…read more Garrett B. Dominick G. Jordan W. Lumi F. RJ J. I am extremely happy with the treatment I received at this location. My service ended up being a lot more complicated than I was originally prepared for and I ended up having to come back multiple times. I really appreciated that everytime I stopped by, the guys working recognized me and already knew what was going on so I never had to repeat myself. They were all extremely professional and went out of their way to walk me through procedures and made personal recommendations for replacement parts. My computer is working better than it has in years now and I'm so thankful. It took a while (through no fault of theirs), but they accomplished exactly what I needed to happen. Huge thank yous to all that I mentioned!

I waited over an hour and my service tech was helping someone else. I asked if it's ok to go to my car for about 20 minutes and was told yes and to just take my phone. I did what I needed and went back only to be told they had NO certified tech able to do the actual work. Which means I spent over 90 minutes waiting to be told I would have to make a new appointment. I had already drive. 45 minutes for this appointment and it was just a waste of my time and gas.

I went in here about a year ago to buy a SATA to Molex power adapter. Immediately after walking in…read morethe door I was approached by the nearest salesman. I told him what I wanted and he immediately replied, "No, we don't have anything like that." Then I gave him the part number and told him the Radio Shack website indicated they had them in stock. "Oh," was his response. This wasn't the first time I've had this experience at this store. The time before it was a 12V cigarette lighter style connector. That time I didn't have a part number with me so I just smiled as the salesman told me "we don't have that" then went and found it myself. He seemed unimpressed when I took my purchase to the register. This store would be infinitely better if they would build a jail cell style cage around the register area and lock the salespeople in there for the duration of their shift. That way I could browse around to find what I need without them harassing me with their ignorance. And who knows, I might even find another item or two to buy if I wasn't trying to get away from them as quickly as possible.

Cell phones, to me, are for incoming and outgoing calls period. The old phone still worked. He landed at Radio Shack, and I have to say the experience turned out to be quite funny. He comes home with the dead phone and says "They laughed when I suggested a battery! The girl asked how OLD the phone was and offered the choice of 4 available 'free' models". So we both go back to the store. I will not say everything was excellent, nor was everything I witnessed what I would call "professional", but, suffice to say, we chuckled our way through getting hooked up with a new phone. And it wasn't a horrid experience as I've had in the past. We were in the store plenty long enough to see exactly how they operate by phone. Another guy was busily trying to access information from... somewhere, so he insisted his customer was impatiently waiting for an answer. Problem... he didn't have a customer. Beyond that, we got a phone, had some laughs, and didn't feel too bad about the experience. It will not be my first choice for shopping electronics - never has been. But it's nice to know you CAN order antique phone batteries at this location, if you really want to. :)
