For one thing when you get your goods and go to pay you deal with a live human being and can enjoy a little chit chat as they ring you up. I don't buy much in the food department as most of it is way too salt laden but cleaning supplies, pet food, birthday cards, bird seed, mouthwash and more are all on my regular list and more. You still get to deal with real people here and that means a lot to me.

We also intended to buy some other things. These items totaled over $300.00 that we were going to spend that day. When we asked about the boxing bags and stand we were referred to a young man that was in that department. The first thing he said was that his leg hurt, and he was having a bad day. We saw sales tags on the bag and stand, but the tag was on the wrong bag. He didn't seem to know which bag was on sale, so we showed him an ad, and found the right bag. We then asked about the stand which had a sales tag on it for $144.49 but he said it was $150.00. When we asked why 150.00 instead of 144.99 he flew into a rage, and said in a very very loud voice: Jesus Christ, I only a rounded up a penny (not recognizing that it was a difference of over $5.00 not one penny) Then he turned around, and stomped off, not speaking to us anymore. We called out after him, (and I know he heard us) but he wouldn't acknowledge us. We then went up to the checkout desk and told them what happened, and asked to speak to a manager, They said the person we talked to was a department manager, but they would have the store manager contact us when he came in the next day. They also said that the person who helped us seems to have bad days every day, and there had been previous complaints about him. The store manager still has not called back. We have called the store three days in a row now, and the store manager still has not contacted us. We just get the the promise that he was looking into it, and would call us back. We find this totally unacceptable, as we have been loyal customers since this store branch opened years ago, but no more.

He was very pleasant and engaging and I thanked him for taking the time to support his customer. The other thing I loved was it. I also like the fact that they had multiple staff working and checking out, moving very fast . It was very apparent that they care about their customers, their store and they know what they have in stock. I messed up because I should have gotten the gentleman's name so that I could have filled out a formal compliment form. So I will definitely have to stop in again and get his name.
