New phones are costly and I actually liked the model of the phone I presently have. Upon further inquiry, I was told that I could consider a refurbished phone(same model as my original) and I could do it at a fraction of the cost of a brand new phone, so I did. Throughout the process of transfering data from my old phone to the new(to me) phone, Lacey was very patient and customer service friendly, despite hitting several snags along the way. Joe and Lacey were both very knowledgeable about their products and took care of several customers while I waited for my data download, showing great professionalism and passion for helping each one. They went above and beyond to ensure that I left completely satisfied. Thank you Lacey and Joe.

I brought my iPad Pro 13" M1 (5th Gen) to this uBreakiFix location through Asurion Home Plus for…read morewhat should have been a very simple repair. The device had a small spider crack in the screen after my dog knocked it off the couch onto tile. That was the only issue. The iPad was otherwise fully functional, including WiFi. What happened next was one of the most incompetent repair experiences I have ever seen. First screen replacement: They called and said it was ready for pickup. But when we got there, the replacement screen was defective and they said it needed to be replaced again. Not great, but mistakes happen. Not a single test performed, wasted our time. Second screen replacement: They called again saying it was ready. We picked it up and took it home. Within minutes it was obvious that the WiFi no longer worked at all. This was a device that had perfectly functioning WiFi when it went in. It couldn't see any wireless networks anywhere you took it. Clearly something broke between the 2 screen replacements. When I brought it back, the huge and ogrish "technician" (and I use that term lightly) immediately became rude and aggressive, insisting there was "no possible way" they could have broken the WiFi. This was said before he even attempted to diagnose anything. Instant blame game, saying "how can I even be sure it wasn't broken when you brought it here?" They then replaced the screen a third time. Meanwhile I opened a second claim through Asurion specifically for the WiFi issue that appeared after their repair as that is what Ubreakifix said to do (in a very rude manner). When they called me again, I drove back to the store expecting the issue to finally be resolved. Instead, the technician informed me he never even looked at the second claim and bluntly said: "I didn't break it and I can't fix WiFi." That was the entire explanation. No troubleshooting. No escalation. No attempt to make it right. So here is the outcome of bringing a fully working iPad in for a cracked screen: * Three screen replacements * Multiple trips back and forth to the store * Hours of wasted time * WiFi now completely broken * Staff that are defensive and dismissive * A second insurance claim ignored entirely * Zero accountability The device went in with one minor cosmetic issue and came out with a major functional failure that did not exist before their repair. If this location cannot handle a routine screen replacement without damaging other components, they should not be performing repairs on premium devices like an iPad Pro. I would strongly recommend avoiding this store unless you enjoy repeated trips, dismissive technicians, and leaving with a device that works worse than when you brought it in. I'll be canceling Asurion Home Plus, and never ever visiting a Ubreakifix again. Stay away, you've been warned.

This place was recommended by a few friends so it was a no brainer to me at that point. Ok ok so anyway I called around & either the price was over $100 or just seemed shady. After being referred by friends, getting an $85 quote by phone I crossed my fingers that I wouldn't get ripped off,my main frame hacked into, identity stolen and my precious photos sold on the black market to creepies across the world! To my surprise it was fantastic! To the point, friendly, knowledgeable, fast & most importantly fair. There's a 90day warranty on screens & batteries that I know of for sure but I believe it's all parts/services(double check). If they aren't super busy he can get it done while you wait but don't expect it. Avg wait time otherwise is about an hour & if you have an old version of the same phone, charge it and take out the sim & well...USE IT! If you don't then be thankful to be free of it for an hour because it's extremely sad how attached we are to our devices(yes me too)! I hope this helps & as of this review I've smashed my screen again because you guessed it ...I was way too cool for a case but hey at least I had a screen protector on that didn't help other then not allowing my screen to completely fall apart into glass dust. Ughhh...don't be me...actually be smart & cool.

Smart Cell Repair does not stand behind their professed, "90 day warranty". Printed on the receipt…read more"All returns have a 25% restocking fee 14 day return policy, for all purchases, backed by a 90 day warranty..." the complete terms and conditions of the "Repair Policy" are not fully printed on the receipt and not provided to the customer. My daughter had the cracked screen of her iPhone replaced at this shop on April 20th. About a week ago, she placed her phone on the counter for the night to charge, still in the OtterBox defender case. No one used or touched it. The next morning we noticed a hairline crack in the screen. Due to busy schedules and all of the panic happening lately, she was unable to immediately take it back and the crack seemed to worsen. When she took it back today, she was told by the owner's brother, that she did not meet the "conditions of the warranty" because there were "no pieces or chunks of glass missing" yet the conditions of the warranty were never specified, as to what was and was not included. How convenient that she did not meet these unstated "conditions." In addition, the receipt states that the purchaser agrees "to the terms and conditions of Smart Cell Repair, LLC Manufacturer Warranty" of which were also never provided. I guess this is the loophole they utilize in order to appear to be an ethical business and warranty their repairs and materials. When that is not the case. In actuality, they are more than happy to correct the problem, as long as you are willing to hand over more cash.

He told me he would give me a call the next day with an estimate of the repair. He quoted me a fair price of $75 to replace the bent screen with the new screen. This man means well but has a lot to learn about professional accountability and customer…read moreinteraction. I took a phone in yesterday with a cracked screen in order for him to replace it. After he replaced it, I noticed that the battery would no longer hold a charge, and would continuously reboot every 2 minutes while plugged in. None of this occurred prior to handing the phone over to him, the battery operated completely like normal prior his "fix". He denied responsibility and argued with me for a whole hour while he was trying to figure out what was wrong with the battery. He even claimed that my phone was crappy and its battery was already bad by the time I gave it to him which is not the case at all. It held a charge and it certainly didn't try to keep rebooting while plugged in. Basically, he simply didn't believe me, and never considered or accepted the possibility that he may have damaged the charging port or battery connection, or motherboard component when replacing the screen because he said they were separate systems. He also said that because he "couldn't test the battery" before replacing the screen, he "did not know how well it worked" before the screen replacement, which was his way of insinuating that the battery was already bad and I'm using this as a ruse for a free fix for a pre-existing issue. Thing is, he actually could have tested the battery if he wanted to before opening the screen, it was still holding a charge and working even with a busted screen. But he didn't and he was using this as an excuse to avoid accountability. I saw that he wasn't going to be able to figure it out any time soon and I had to catch a flight so I demanded a refund. He refused, and kept on arguing that the screen replacement had nothing to do with the charging port or battery and his only argument for not having anything to do with it is that he's replaced many screens and "you're the first customer who's had this issue". Well guess what? I googled "iphone se won't charge properly after replacing screen" and literally the first result was an iFixit thread with over a dozen answers from people experiencing the same issue, with one user saying it's happened 8/8 times they've done screen replacements on the SE. The most common explanation from reading the threads is that he dislodged a connection called FL2400 in the logic board, which is common when applying too much pressure from the wrong side of the battery connection with a spudge tool. He could have figured this out in 2 minutes by doing a simple google search but instead chose to argue that he had nothing to do with it; I only found this explanation later at the airport. It was only after I threatened to write this review that he agreed to issue me a refund. But not before removing the fixed screen, and re-attaching the old broken screen. If he didn't issue the refund, this review would be 1 star, but this is the outcome I'm left with: I gave him a phone once and he made it worse. I gave it back to him a second time to rectify that mistake and he returned it in even worse condition. I used to have a cracked screen iPhone that held a charge and was still usable. Now I have a cracked screen iPhone that doesn't hold a charge and is effectively useless. And while I did get my $80 back, I lost 1.5 hours of my time and countless words of arguing to a man who was careless in his trade and in utter refusal to consider that mistakes like these are possible for him, let alone take responsibility for them. I suggest anyone reading this to take their phone to a more professional operation, both in terms of technical skill and people skills. (FYI, the first 5 star review below is fake. It's by the business owner himself. His name is Mike, I know because it's on his business card. As far as I know this is the first real review)
