We moved to a new place and they told us to just bring our old equipment. That worked and things were fine though we needed a technician to fix a few cable connections (the one we wanted to use was not working so we used another temporarily). Well they told us to tell them once we were moved and they would take the old house off or bill. We did that and the person decided to completely cancel our service and the technician that was supposed to be here the next day. We called and they said it was fixed and we should have internet shortly. 24 hours later and no internet we call to be told we have to wait for a technician to turn us on which now was scheduled for a week later. I was furious, we work from home and no internet is a huge problem for us and they basically told use we had no other option but to wait for the technician for a week because although they can remotely shut us down, they can't remotely turn on a "new service". That already is pretty ridiculous and they admitted they had made the mistake but could not fix it for a week. Well we were mad but stuck since it's the only halfway decent internet service in town. After a week they fixed it and gave use a different modem which got us up and running but the service was pretty abysmal even though we are on their 1gb internet service. Well come to find out the modem they gave us could not even come close speed wise (rated for peak 400mbps) and was just terrible. Ended up buying my own modem and a nice router which resolved that problem. Overall I am giving them two stars for the good parts over the years and the fact now that I have things running well the service is decent. But the customer service and their way of doing things is foolish and wastes lots of time. My recommendation to those wanting suddenlink is to buy your own modem and router and get it setup as soon as you can and then try to not call customer service unless you are having serious issues.

The service is very personal and helpful, I can even speak with a person unlike service with ATT&T, sprint or Verizon when I have needed to which has been very seldom. I have had one major problem recently: ever since they added internet service (which I cannot get at my home while neighbors up the street can) my cellphone reception has decreased. I cannot even multi text from my home where I could previously. I can text though in town. I was told the antennae in my phone wasn't strong enough. This is, by the way, phone given to me by WCW when I was upgraded to a iPhone 5c with which I had consistently poor coverage at my house and none is areas I had it previously. I went back to my IPhone 4 and my coverage improved somewhat but not multi texting capabilities. This is why I only gave it 4 stars when a couple of months ago I would have given it 5 stars.

On Saturday, August 26 we went by there to exchange it since on our receipt it says NO REFUND EXCHANGE ONLY WITHIN 7 DAYS. The guy told us that he couldn't exchange it but would give us 50% off another pouch even though I had the receipt and showed it to him he said that didn't matter. He was very rude and didn't speak good English but that still isn't any way to run a business. We were referred to him by the cell phone fix guy in the strip mall on knickerbocker. He was some kind of relative. We were referred to him by the guy at batteries plus. We were super disappointed in the whole experience and will not go back. Not sure how businesses are run where he is from but not not the way it's done here!!!!!!!!!

They credited the diagnostic cost, so only 75 total! Great! However, the phone still didn't work. Turns out the problem was an internal chip. At this point, they tell me they will credit the 75$ to a new phone. Great! The problem is that they only had a very limited selection of phones and the phones were highly overpriced--about twice as much as you could buy them on Amazon. Even with the credit, I would be paying a lot more for a phone from them. For 75$, I received an incorrect diagnostic and an unneeded repair. Do yourself a favor and buy a new phone.

Today I visited the AT&T Store on Sherwood to activate an Apple Watch I purchased from my sister…read more I did not wait long to be served and was assisted by an employee named Tomas who was pleasant during the encounter. He seemed to have some trouble activating the Apple Watch on my plan, but he assured me everything would work just fine when I finished pairing the watch over my internet at home since the Store's connection was UBER slow. After getting home, I finished pairing the watch but was PUZZLED when I received an error message that the watch was never activated when I attempted to turn on the "cellular feature"?!?! How could that be??? He clearly stated that I would be charged $30 a month for activation and $10 a month for the service so what did he not do?!?!?. I attempted every work around but continued to receive the same error message. I reluctantly called the Store and was asked if I wanted to come back to so that they could take a look at the watch--Um, "No!" (you've already wasted an hour of my time...) The Associate then stated Tomas was with a customer BUT he would call me right back... Yeah right! I wasn't surprised given Tomas' success rate. I never got the call and ended up calling Technical Support. The Support Agent stated the watch was "never activated" and she stayed on the line with me until the watch was successfully paired with my phone. Given today's horrible experience I will never go back to this Store for service.
