To fund their mission, Treasure Coast Hospice operates a thrift store in Stuart which I have previously reviewed and this newer location in Port St Lucie. The store is located in a strip mall. It is one large room with racks of clothing, small pieces of furniture, household goods, collectibles, holiday items, books, small appliances, jewelry, and accessories. Everything was neat, clean, and attractively arranged. Prices were very fair and they had an additional sale on green tag clothes which were an additional 50 percent off, 50 percent off shoes, and 20 percent off pictures. If you were lucky enough to find a yellow tag clothing item, they were only $1. They had some other sales as well so that almost everything in the store was additionally discounted. I really wish I had the room for the watermelon serving dish. I also loved the little doggie creamer. They had a lot of vintage items which also caught my eye. This is a great organization which you can come out and support by shopping their stores and donating to them. Also you can help save the planet by keeping items out of the landfill. Thrifting can do a community a lot of good.

The proceeds from this store provide food, medical care, spray/ neuter, and housing for animals awaiting adoption in St. Lucie County. The Humane Society of St. Lucie County Thrift Store has several rooms of men's, women's, and children's clothing, games, housewares, home decor, glassware, electronics, furniture, books, pet supplies, jewelry, and holiday decorations. They are currently holding a Christmas in July sale where everything Christmas related is half off. Everything in the store was arranged nicely and priced clearly. The store is staffed with volunteers and depends on donations. The store is staffed by volunteers and proceeds go to providing food and clothing, housing, rent and utility assistance, to the Port St. Lucie community. They sell donated furniture, household goods, lamps, small appliances, art collectibles, books, CD's, clothes, and accessories. They had a great selection and the prices were very reasonable in their clean and well organized store. The gentleman who was working when I visited was friendly and welcoming. He offered to even show me things in the back that weren't on the sales floor. I had dun exploring the eclectic mix of reasonably priced items they had for sale which included china, wedding dresses, Le Creuset, and a bust of Abraham Lincoln. They sell furniture, household decor, clothes, accessories, and small appliances. Good Samaritan Ministries will happily accept your donations and there is a list on their website of items they are seeking. You can see them at work with the food pantry across the street.
