We began our process after contacting Jake Gonzales, owner of DVC. He came and saw our house and what our project would entail. Next we went to the showroom and began the process of picking out materials and discussing our budget. He and his associate Brittany then compiled a list of the materials and the approximate final cost which we then made a second visit to the showroom to finalize everything before Jake and Brittany would do the ordering. Once the materials arrived we began the actual remodel. At this point we were turned over to Dom, Jake's son, who would be the project manager for the entire project. The remodel took roughly 3 weeks and Dom along side his associate Tristan were there almost everyday to supervise the work. The two of them were polite, considerate, knowledgeable and well-mannered. The subs that were hired (ie. plumbing, countertops and installation of cabinets) were exceptional. The day the countertop crew arrived I believe they were in and finished in just a few hours with everything exactly as it should be. All subs were also extremely respectful to my husband and myself, with each group completing their tasks in a timely manner. Dom and Tristan ALWAYS let us know in advance when they or subs would be arriving to work and all were always on time. We could not asked for a more pleasant experience and would absolutely hire them again for future projects.

Within days to months of the original repair, I experienced continued leaks and had to request multiple return visits. During one of those attempts, a new leak was actually created in an adjoining room, causing additional damage to my home and furniture. I was in direct contact with the owner, Kirk, who personally came out to inspect not only the leak itself but the damage that resulted from it. He apologized and assured me the issues would be taken care of. Unfortunately, after that, communication stopped completely and all accountability disappeared. To this day, the problems were never properly resolved. I still have the correspondence, photos, and documentation to support everything stated here. Mistakes can happen with any company. What matters is how they handle them. In my experience, the lack of follow-through, integrity, and accountability is what should make potential customers think twice before hiring this company.

I was contacted by this company about getting my roof inspected for a possible case of wind/hail…read moredamage and submitting a claim to my insurance company. Since we had just had an intense rain storm a few evenings prior and knowing the Arizona sun takes a toll on roofs, I was interested and set up an appointment for two days from the date of the call. The next day, I received a call from Elliot C. saying he was available within a few hours and could look at my roof that day instead of the next day when the appointment was originally scheduled. When he arrived, I told him that I would like to pay for the roof myself and not involve the insurance company as I did not want to submit a claim but to keep that option open. His demeanor changed immediately. He said he would take a look at the roof, take some pictures then let me know what he found. He went up on the roof and was down in a few minutes. He said there was wind damage, 1/2" hail damage and some heat bubbling of the asphalt shingles. This is all true since I saw it myself a few days prior when I was working on a vent. He said he was really busy that night but that I should get something from him the next day. He seemed like he couldn't leave fast enough for some reason. I never received anything from him. It's just interesting to me that they did not want my business despite the fact that I was ready to pay cash for the job. Perhaps there was some angle with the insurance company and the way the claims are submitted and how they receive payments which changed their mind about doing the job.

I was aware that HOA does not cover roofing but I was confused over an extremely vague letter and the possibility of a huge cost coming my way. I decided to contact Patterson Roofing with a neutral perspective. I told them my HOA says there are roofing problems and I need a quote. William called me before I scheduled time to let me know he was near my home. He came early which was perfect. I showed him the letter that was sent to me and he went out to check the roof. As I had suspected, the roofing issues had nothing to do with my side of the roof. William was kind enough to thoroughly check the area, take photos, and explain everything out to me. Even though I don't know anything about roofs he knew how to explain it in a way that a regular person like me would understand. He even offered to speak to the neighbor that day and gave me permission to give my HOA his information so he could explain his findings to anyone that asked!
