It was a long period, so I was really considerate and careful when choosing the dog sitter. Then I met Sasha and she completely gained my trust! She offered to meet before the actual date to get to know my pup. She took the schedule and every instruction I gave her seriously and she stick to it! I honestly can not do a better job myself. She had a problem handling the dog and instead of calling me to ask me how to handle the situation, she locked the key in my house and THEN called me and told me she was not going to take my business, stranding me several states away without any way to give the key I had given to her to an alternate sitter or make any sort of alternate arrangements. She also left the dog uncrated against my express instructions not to leave him alone out of his crate. She lacks common sense and animal handling skills, and I would not trust her with my pet.

Great services all around...daycare, boarding and grooming. Our dogs come home exhausted from playing so much in a day. Prices are very reasonable and the accommodations are more than ample for all canines. This is an example of some recent amazing care. I was just on vacation for over a week in Europe, with limited ability to communicate with anyone back home. Well the day we leave, one dog gets sick and is in the vet trying to figure out what is wrong, ends up on a special diet and meds. I talked it over with Melissa and she said bring him in anyway..."we got this". Over the course of out trip we got daily reports on our pup and when we got home he was doing much better and was on the mend... Now totally fine. Having that piece of mind while away was great this is just one of the many examples of how great they are. I've had 3 dogs who call this place home away from home and half the time they jump out of the car and kick down the doors to get back in. And 2 of these dogs have been going since they were 8 weeks old.

I got her when I was 11 years old and we have grown up together, so she is very very important to me. In 2013 her brother, who lives with my parents, died very suddenly of kidney failure. I immediately brought my cat to the closest vet when I moved to East Lansing with her, which happened to be Abbott Road. She at first tested to be in good health but about 8 months later she started vomiting all the time and basically stopped eating. We had been getting ready to go on vacation when this started and I had to rush her in about 3 days before we were going to leave. I almost cancelled my trip but Abbott Road saved the day. They did blood work and found that she did indeed have the early stages of kidney failure. They also offered to board her while I was out of town and give her all the medications she needed to feel comfortable again. They just charged me for boarding but she was essentially given a 5-day hospital visit to get her back in good health. When I came back from my trip, the vet explained to me what medications she would need and how to best go about making her comfortable and healthy for the months or years to come. This was in February of 2015. It is now November and my cat is doing better than ever. She has made a complete turnaround from the lethargic, vomiting, skinny cat she was in the spring back to a playful, healthy, happy cat. I cannot thank the vets and staff at Abbott Road enough. Everyone there is wonderful and so kind to my cat. I've seen both Dr. Missy and Dr. Mary, but recently only Dr. Missy and she is so fantastic. She understands that my cat is old and never tries to push unnecessary procedures. She has commended me multiple times for taking good care of my cat, something vets never do, but that really means a lot. I'm so sad to be moving, as I don't know that I'll find another vet that can compare. We will miss you Abbott Road!

I was quoted $250 for cats spay the day before I went in when they called to confirm them when I when in they charged me $375 and said inflation but that's a blatant lie that they just want to take the money of college student because inflation doesn't change the cost over night. tried to force me to get a bunch of un need procedure on my cat just to squeeze more money out of me. definitely recommend any other place then this on. not to mention when I dropped my cat off for the spay they tried to charge me $1500 for a spay. I had to argue with them for hours explaining I didn't what these others procedure that they were adding on without even asking me if I wanted that for my cat. honestly just avoid this place, no care for animal.
