Her coat is incredibly uneven - it looks like someone just went in with kitchen scissors. But that isn't the most disappointing part. When I went to pick up my lively, energetic puppy, she was cowering. I brought her home and she was limping with one leg. My pup is never going back here - vet's orders!

When I got home I noticed his ear was injured and called immediately to ask about it. Was told at first they knew nothing about it but was put on hold to check with other staff. They came back on the line and told me that someone did notice the day before I picked him up but thought it was an ear infection. Failing to tell when it was noticed or when I collected him was concerning. Even more concerning is that ear infections are usually on the inside of the ear not the back side protruding inward. Looking further you could tell there were puncture wounds and what looked like bite wounds. I asked if he had been in a fight and they said they were unsure but would make a note to have the owner look at the camera footage and call me back. I have called back several times and every time the person acts surprised and "makes a note" for the owner to call me. It's now been a vet visit, 6 pills a day, several calls some with no answer (during normal business hours), and 6 days later with no response from the owner. I totally understand sometimes things can happen outside of your control, they're animals after all. I just wanted to know what happened and how. Some sort of dialog would have been nice. I have spoke this business up, my mother-in-law started boarding her dogs here cause of me. Needless to say, they lost my business which probably wouldn't have been the case if we had spoken when this happened. Which by the way I found out from another employee happened 4 days before I picked him up. They were aware of another dog having to be broken up and separated from mine for the rest their stay.

I think that approach is great, and was optimistic about taking my elderly dog there since I think the busier places must be overwhelming for him. They called me about 15 minutes after I dropped him off to say I needed to come get him because he was too stressed out to be groomed (he didn't bite or anything; they were concerned about his rapid breathing). I appreciated it, because I'd rather bring him come home without being cut than have them push through the full grooming if he wasn't up to it. They charged me just for the bath, which was kind of them. What I didn't appreciate as much was that they refused to work with me to find a solution, e.g., booking another appointment and having me stay to help keep him calm--and I explained I'd be happy to pay in full for both appts regardless of the outcome. They recommended that I take him to my vet and have him "shaved down"--which would almost certainly be much more stressful for him. We have chosen to groom him at home. Much less stress for him, but since we have no skills his new cut is a bit... avant garde. Such is life. If your dog tolerates grooming well, I expect they would be a very good shop.

In the past she was scared with her tail tucked because she always had bad experiences. Now her tail is always wagging. Laurie truly loves dogs. She has a big heart and advocates for them whenever possible. She does a fantastic job and has a clean environment. I've been to places where it's obvious it's all about the money. Never again. Kiana's calm, gentle approach is exceptional and is helpful for my dog. Lily looks and smells great without any unexpected/drastic changes or overpowering scents. The online scheduling system is user-friendly with helpful reminders, but mobile grooming is limited to Saturdays, which can make booking tricky. Kiana does her best to accommodate, including being willing to use another product when I had requested one time. Her communication about early arrivals or delays is better than most mobile groomers. Pricing is reasonable -- higher than what I paid in the Northeast but more affordable than another local option. However, the 5.75% credit card fee is frustrating, and I'd love modern payment options like Venmo or Apple Pay, as I prefer not to write checks and end up scrambling for the right amount of cash. Overall, Kiana is super sweet & gentle, the grooming quality is very good, and she is accommodating whenever she can be, but Kiana's availability and payment options keep this from being a 5-star experience.

However , since I started here it seems they have a turnover in help and now seem to clearly be understaffed. I was told to drop him off at 8:00 am. He was there for over 6 hours before I was called to pick him up. I was very unhappy and told her this was unacceptable. I had told the owner from the beginning I did not want him kept crated more than needed. If they are taking so many dogs that it takes them this long to get them complete, they clearly should be timing the drop offs so they are not having to crate them over this long of a period. I have never had my dogs in groomers more than 3 1/2-4 hours tops! Her answer was that there were only 2 of them working that day. Clearly they had more than they could handle in a timely manner. I would have preferred to be called and told they were shorthanded and I would have gladly rescheduled. Also I tried numerous times to call when time was ticking by, and they had no one to answer the call. Sorry to say, I feel their business practices have much to be worked out. If time is not a problem for you or your pet, then maybe this is the place for you.
