I originally contacted them for 3 issues: carpenter ants, mosquitos, and ticks. They came out late spring of 2025 after we bought our house, and did an inspection. They made some notes regarding the property and things I needed to correct. I made as many of the corrections as I could afford, and waited for their service. Overall, I've found everything ineffective other than the carpenter bee treatment, which I didnt even need at first (and honestly their carpenter bee treatment is woodfiller mixed with a chemical, which any homeowner can do without paying an arm and a leg for a "service technician" to do). The ant treatment did not really work at all. I noticed an increase in activity at first, and then it died down over the winter (which is predictable). This spring, I noticed their return, with almost no change. I mentioned a few target areas to the tech and was pretty much ignored. I called the office to try to get them to come out a week after that, and they scheduled a service inspection, to which he agreed that I found the source. Since then, they treated that area and I still have a notable problem there. I also still have the occasional ant inside the house (the ants were never truly living in the house and I found a mix of field ants and carpenter ants on the front/back concrete porch for the most part). Ants are still crawling and I also still have a sweet ant problem on my porch. As for the mosquito service, dont even bother paying for it. They've been fogging and reportedly increasing their mixtures, fogging the trees and gables of the house, and doing a variety of different things for them and they have just increased. Just this past week my 1 year old son has almost a dozen bites all over his body, which is a lot for a small kid! I'm deeply disappointed in this service, especially after I wanted to cancel it four months ago and the inspector convinced me a change in the mixture would definitely solve the problem for my house "and the neighbors." They also tried to sell me on another product to kill the mosquito larvae, which was over $200 in addition to the $75+/mo I'm wasting on their "fogging." No changes to the mosquitos, they've gotten worse, and I've wasted probably over $1,000 on this sugar water; probably almost $300 after I tried to cancel it. Another issue I have is with my exterior/detached 2 car garage. I've had 2 different inspectors tell me it was serviceable, 1 say it was too far away, their dispatch (looking on google maps) saying it was serviceable, but whenever a tech comes out (aside from one time the manager came out) they say it's not part of my house and they can't treat it. Very disappointing in the lack of communication and varying of my contract. Speaking of communication, I've had 2 no-shows with them never coming out despite me reaching out to try to get a reschedule, and 1 late appointment from a manager (this was when I called to cancel and they asked to reinspect the house). He ended up giving me the next month for free, but it's still ridiculous that I paid for a service which never showed up. I also had a tech scheduled during a specific window (as I said, we have a baby who has a nap schedule) who called and asked if she could come early, as I was the "last service on her route and then she could go home." When I said it wasn't an option due to the nap schedule, she passive aggressively said that she would come at the earliest scheduled time. Orkin is very unprofessional in their communication and reliability. Overall, I cannot recommend them and am (still) trying to cancel my service. I texted, emailed, and called trying to do so. My last email I was very clear in my disappointment of the service and wanting to cancel and have not heard back. I honestly would expect a refund for the past 4 months at this point. Orkin is terrible. Communication: 0/10 Affordability: 5/10 Effectiveness: 2/10

Pro-Safe Insulation arrived on time. Men went to work right away. All was going well until...the…read morestepped on my ceiling drywall. I immediately asked the worker what happened. He m,emetic nail pop and nothing else. I waited, and did not accept the non-response well. I called the company and expressed my concern that the worker seemed non-chaalant about what happened, and wondered if Pro-Safe would take care of it. Immediately I heard, the contract states we are not responsible for 'mail pops and other consequential" damages. I asked to hear from the owner. Jeff called and immediately went on offense about how dare I insinuate his company was not reputable and so on...although I dont believe I insisted such. Again he mentioned that Pro-Safe was not responsible for nail pops...that stuff happens. Mind your, at this point, no one looked at the ceiling from the inside. He simply defended that his guys stepped on a beam causing a nail pop. Hang in there...photos to follow. Finally, one of his guys looked at the damage and agreed...a bit more than a nail pop. He proceeded to tell me that something gave way in the attic, a guy lost his balance and stepped on the ceiling. He caught himself but the weight bowed and cracked the ceiling. Accidents happen. Jeff and I talked again, both a bit calmer. He agreed to send a guy out to repair the ceiling and agreed to take the bill. The drywall person Jeff sent was excellent. However, there is only so much one can do on a ceiling repair without painting the entire ceiling. So, while the damage is gone, the mismatch remains. Lessons here for me: Stay calm, even when the owner is not. Convince them to assess before citing contract language. For the owner: Get facts first...all the facts. Before you cite a routine nail pop, someone should assess. Expect owners to get excited when one of your guys nearly comes through the ceiling. Bottom line: Workers were efficient, got the job done in a few hours. Not sure if I'll see an ROI but that is what happens with insulation...you hope for improved comfort. All in all, would have been much better without the damage.
