He reported we had no damage due to the cleared rodents and did note our 17 year old home did have some spots where the insulation was not up to R38 standards (some areas only had 4" of insulation. They confirmed in an email that they owe me the $500 but they won't pay it. Now they are not communicating. Also, on another a/c unit, my mini-split system is not working. It's been over 4 weeks. Per their contract I have a 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE FOR 2 YEARS. They are to remove it and refund me 100% of my money. They can't get one of the mitsubishi mini-split system heads to work, they made another appointment but didn't show up, no notification to me, and now they are refusing to communicate. This mitsubishi mini-split has one outdoor unit and three indoor heads. The tech put more freon in without measuring it and then withdrew some without measuring it just to try something. Now the 2 heads that were working are not producing as much cold air than before. Chills on Wheels is not living up to their contract and expectations. Now they are not returning phone calls or any other communication.

I was charged approximately $524 to clear a clogged condensate drain line, despite being enrolled in the company's monthly maintenance plan. After speaking with several HVAC professionals afterward, I learned this is generally considered a straightforward repair and that the price I paid was far higher than what others would have charged. My unit is New and only 2 years old and under warranty. What concerns me most is that I was never provided with an estimate or quoted a price before the work began. The technician (Matthew K) (invoice# 21676247) diagnosed the issue and proceeded with the repair without explaining the cost or obtaining my approval. Had I known the total would be over $524, I would have declined the service and obtained another quote. In fact, I later discovered that another reputable HVAC company would have completed the same work for a fraction of the price. After I contacted customer service, Krystal F. acknowledged my concerns and promised that an $80 credit would be applied to help resolve the issue. I waited more than three weeks and followed up multiple times, only to be told that management had decided not to honor the promised credit. I also requested to speak with a manager, but my call was never returned. The lack of upfront pricing, the excessive charge for what appears to be a routine service, the failure to honor a promised credit, and the poor communication from management left me feeling extremely disappointed. As a customer, I expect transparency before work is performed and for commitments made by customer service to be honored. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Florida Home AC. I encourage anyone needing repairs to request a written estimate before authorizing any work and to compare pricing with other HVAC companies first.
