We partook in strawberry shortcake, lemonade, a scavenger hunt through the whole garden, and brought home a FABULOUS glass bird bath for our garden. I could not believe how many lilies they had! Three giant gardens! You can even buy/order plants/rose bushes here for your garden at home. This would also be an absolutely smashing place for a wedding ceremony or engagement photos! There is a beautiful rose garden with a water fountain in the middle and a good sized gazebo as well! Check out my pics :-)

Sure, I would much rather have had a Hudson Bay or Louis Vuitton bag in hand. But, how could I say "no" to the young woman? Her efforts (or mine) resulted in buy one get one coupon to the casino restaurants for me. The buffet didn't look appealing. So with my Dollarama bags in hand, we marched to the receptionist out front of Halley's Club. It was then that we learned that Halley's Club was a supper club and showcase theater with a live band. We were given a table on the second floor with a great view of the stage and singers. The food? We ordered a beef Wellington, a salmon, and a chicken Parmesan. I don't think we cared for any of the food we ordered. The beef was kind of tasteless. The Chicken sauce was acidic. My daughter didn't eat too much of it. The salmon was probably the best dish since the others were so bad. Service was good. I know my waitress saw my Dollarama bag. The snide comment about the Dollarama bag from the waitress never came. She did a great job keeping our cups filled, and cleared our dishes as needed. The music was okay. They had some lounge singers doing their thing, and they did it for about an hour before taking a break. I liked it even though I thought the food was bad. The Halley was a good experience for my family and I. I'm glad they let teenagers in there up till 10 PM. We liked watching the singers. If there is a next time, hopefully I am not wearing chanclas and holding onto a Dollarama bag. 4 stars for the experience.

It didn't seem too busy once we got in, but we still got sat on the far end towards the washroom and directly in view of a pillar with the stage. The booth was huge so we managed to scooch over a little bit to all have a decent view of the side stage. White night Special Sangria - ($13) - Brownie points already because they had 3 different sangria's on and that all sounded oh-so very tantalizing. the white night was my choice and with the addition of white rum, this tasted super strong compared to the other choice but went down super easy. Pink Sangria - ($13) - A lighter flavor, with strong taste of peach. Really enjoyed this one and presentation wise, they made each glass look so classy and picturesque. Garlic Parmesan Fries - (7) - This was BOMB. But, biased review from me with anything /fries dressed with garlic and parm. I'd order this, again and again and again. Beef Wellington - ($29) My first wellington, ever. After being an avid Ramsay enthusiast. As soon as I saw it on the menu, I knew i needed to live out my boujie ways. Asked for medium rare and the delivered steak was moist and had the perfect chew. The steak sauce drizzled just enough added flavor to not take away from the steak. Steak Au Poivre - ($28) - Opted for medium done. I'm not even going to give my opinion on this but YES. She enjoyed it. Chicken Parmesan - ($26) - Had a few bites from this and I liked that the chicken still had a bit of its crispness, tomato sauce with the spaghetti also had a bold flavor which was nice carbs paired with the chicken. Summarizing my experience. Venue is amazing, service was super friendly and fast, we're wiser now to know to make a reservation if we do end up coming for dinner again. Food tasted awesome and presentation blew my socks off. Really great place for a nicer dinner and to feel a little more spoiled up. Looking in, you can really come in dressed up or casual. They had an open space and tables were just getting up in the middle of dinner to dance which was a great lively vibe. REVIEW UPDATE So we…read moreare now in our 2nd year at Dance Co. and could not be any happier! My daughter did 2 full year long classes last year, attended the summer camp including a pizza party and sleepover, and now both my daughter and son are enrolled again in year long classes. Our experiences at Dance Co have been phenomenal! The quality of instruction and teachers has been top notch, the facility is wonderful, and the staff always friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like so much last year was the end of year format for recital time ended up requiring that we purchase tickets to two separate show times and it's through ticket master so you end up paying surcharges on the tickets so they ended up being about $15 each which for a family with grandparents, siblings, and 2 shows to attend ends up being more than a $150. I'm not sure how they could rectify this other than maybe only selling tickets through them and then not having the ticket master surcharge which adds up being close to $40 when you are buying 8 tickets (4 tix for 2 show times). One thing Dance Co. does to help support families with multiple dancers or a dancer that takes a lot of classes, is you pay by the number of hours taught per week. So each subsequent class costs slightly less per hour than the previous class in any given year. And this is the case that swayed me into signing my 3 year old son up for preschool dance this year because his sister is already taking 2 full one hour weekly classes, so why not add on a half hour preschool class on the same night as his big sis? Dance Co. also has a little consignment section which is great for picking up a second hand pair of taps or ballet shoes for your chitlin. They also offer a preschool program that always fills up and looks just marvellous (as I peek through the window). I foresee a long relationship with Dance Co. Two thumbs WAY UP! Oh and don't forget to attend their summer customer appreciation day with a free BBQ, bouncy castle, face painting, trial classes, and draws!

You can really see the instructors enjoy what they were doing. My little can be a bit shy and it was so cool to see her open up and start moving and grooving with the others. A big part of my rating is also based on how well the pivoted during the changes in protocols ect. We always felt well informed and were given tons of options. They do offer a ton of competitive and recreational dancing as well which we are excited to try in the fall, but I definitely can recommend the summer camps. So fun for the kids!

Excellent afternoon! The exhibits are wonderful, the compost experts are also wonderful and the compost toilet is even more excellent! They offer courses and programs as well. There are other exhibits at the centre; Prairie Pond, Honeybee Hive and the Tegler Discovery Zone. Great learning and fun activities for families. They also offer birthday parties! It's located right beside the Fort Edmonton Park so you can do both in one day! The parking lot is big and spacious.

They also liked checking out the reptiles on display as well as the pelts and skulls from a few former river valley residents. The trails outside include interpretive signs about what you will see On your walk as well as a few historical details. There were one or two birthday parties going on while we were there, with both outdoor and indoor spots for the celebrations. The renovations look like they are mostly done, but perhaps there is more to come in the months ahead.

They don't have the largest amount of botanic displays but it still provides for a pleasant visit. We experienced the gardens here on a beautiful and crisp fall Saturday morning. It was uncrowded and there are 3 main sections - a Kurimoto Japanese garden, a Middle East themed Aga Khan garden, and a section with local history. In the history section, I particularly enjoyed learning about early Canadian explorer David Thompson (1770-1857) and who is considered the greatest explorer of western Canada.

My husband had never been, and my last visit prior was for a friend's wedding photos in 2004. We specifically chose a weekday to avoid crowds and went on 23SEP2024. Lucky us that when we arrived, we were met with a bunch of what I assumed to be Jr High kids on field trips. They were obviously on their lunch break, and they sounded like a pack of rabid Howler Monkeys. Sigh. Once we were far enough into the gardens and I could not longer hear the teenagers (which was pretty far into the Aga Khan Garden, yes they were that rowdy) I thought I would be met with the sounds of nature, birds, squirrels etc instead my entire visit, no matter where in the garden I was, all I could hear was the constant traffic on Hwy 60. Disappointing. I don't remember hearing traffic that night in August, but it could have been drowned out by the classical music, etc. As we walked back toward the entrance to visit the Japanese Garden, after exploring the other garden, we once again could hear the howler monekys along the tram trail. Great. As we entered the garden, they entered the Showhouse, and we made a note not to go in there so as not to cross paths with them. We stopped at the cafe to grab some water, and I noticed they offered Chapman's Ice Cream. I was a bit excited as I am a Celiac, and most of Champman's ice cream is gluten-free free. I was ready to order some until it saw that if I NEEDED a cup instead of a cone, there was a $1.00 upcharge. Nope. The gift store was pretty sad. A few hats a couple of stuffed animals some water bottles. We will be back. We will just be back on adult only events in picnic nights.

Long shotz Software has over 200 courses to play. We chose Beautiful Hawaii for our round. We could not have had more fun. The owner could not have been more accommodating. Very fun afternoon out, we are stoked to head back in the evening with pals to sip Sea Change beers at the bar, play darts, pool and have another round of golf!! The decor is super cool. The building attaches to a rad local bike shop. Long Shotz, had a full on store. It looks like they could meet most golf needs. I almost walked out with a nice Skort @ 30% off. We were surprised by this gem, check them out for all the fun!!
