He has always been a very shy kid, and school experience was challenging for him. All the school staff were extremely attentive and helpful during his transition period. His first teacher, Ms Megan, always hugged him when he came and spoke in soft voice to make him feel comfortable. I was amazed how my son changed in the school. I couldn't believe my eyes when after a couple of months I saw him running from the car to go to school! It's also impressive to see all creative and development activities they do. My son learned all his letters and numbers, he learned shapes and colors even before going to the next age group. Most importantly, he learned to love making art and create! Ms Crystal and Ms K from his next age group are incredible, they both know each child very well and have individual approach to each of them. We had to leave the school after moving to another state, and now I have a very challenging task to find another place with such a warm and loving atmosphere and great teachers, like in Goddard School in Concord.

Mainly, some of the teachers here can be a bit sensitive, Now I get it, it's a charter school. They can be a bit strict, but not to the point of tugging my uniform collar. Since its been given the "partial magnet" status, there is a percentage of first priority available seats to children living within the outlined neighborhood boundaries which include Chantilly, Amity Gardens, Commonwealth Morningside, Echo Hills, and Oakhurst. All other children attending Oakhurst Elementary will have to enter via a lottery. The official school mascot is the Oakhurst Rockets and the school colors will be light blue and light orange. Oakhurst STEAM Academy will feature a Science and Robotic Labs, Lego Walls, a even a 3D Printer!!! The re-opening of Oakhurst Elementary is a very welcome change in the neighborhood and will serve as the staging ground for CMS to improve the education of the next generation of Charlotteans :)

While it may not look like a large commercial daycare center, don't let that fool you. Behind those doors is one of the most loving, family-oriented preschool environments I've ever experienced. My children absolutely adore Planet Playschool. My son literally calls the director his "best friend," and both of my kids love every teacher there. One of my favorite things about the school is that while each child has a primary teacher, they interact with all of the teachers throughout the day. That means every teacher truly knows every child, and every child feels loved and supported by the entire staff. The teacher turnover is incredibly low, which says a lot about the culture they've built. The staff genuinely cares about the children, and it shows in everything they do. The teachers don't just teach the kids, they love them. My daughter graduated from Planet Playschool and entered the Dual Immersion program with Mooresville Graded School District fully prepared and ready to succeed. Another thing I appreciate is how clean they keep the facility. The classrooms receive a full scrub-down every night, which gives me peace of mind knowing the children are learning and playing in a clean environment. I choose Charlotte and I will never forget the experience. You're not limited to staying behind a pace care, you're allowed to pass other cars, you drive the car yourself, by yourself. Their instructors check you out first and if your comfortable with it and they feel you're ready ...... you go out alone! My girlfriend and my daughter did the 5 lap ride along and both loved the speeds and the experience. Only thing that went wrong is that I purchased the video option as well, and after I drove my 15 laps, when my girlfriend did her 5 lap ride, I used my sd card to video her as well and didn't know that it would copy her ride over mine.... Guess I'll just have to do another ride sooner than later and video that one..... Thanks again Seat Time Racing.....

Had a little issue. First the instructors were awesome…read more Wish the day could have started earlier, schedule hours were from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Paid for 24 laps. When my turn came I had made 12 laps and was flagged to come in. After exiting the car and talking to my friend who came with me he said he only made 12 laps. He also shared with me that some of the owner's friends had shown up unscheduled. So I was pulled out of the car and they were allowed to drive. I spoke with the gentleman in charge he was very gracious to refund me for 12 laps. He also offered a discount for a return trip. Payment arrived within about 2 days, other than the couple hiccups it was a good day I would probably return.
