Leave it up to me to visit the Crofton Farmers Market at the end of summer! Le Sigh! I actually didn't know about the Farmers Market until I spotted one of my favorite dessert shops are vendors at this location. So what did I do, planned to go first thing Saturday morning! Located at the Crofton Library parking lot, parking for the Market is onsite - front and back parking lot options, street parking and the church across the street provides parking. Open at 8am - noon and food trucks until 2pm on Saturday's, I saw any and everything you could imagine. Farm fresh produce, pies, goats milk soap, freshly pressed juices, speciality cookies and cupcakes, and EMPANADAS! We were like kids in a candy store, so clearly everything I just listed, we purchased. All of the vendors we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The Farmers Market opens in May and closes for the season in November. My top 3 vendors, Sugar Butter Love, DMV Empanadas, and the Goats Milk Soap vendor - sorry can't remember their name. All had quality options to purchase. The Market has a website to check out the vendors that will be on display, as well as social media pages. I was impressed and will absolutely be back! Note to the wise, bring a reusable bag or two to collect your purchased items. I even brought an insulated bag for my hot/cold items. read more

Crofton's farmer market makes it incredibly easy to buy fresh and local. The market takes place at the Crofton library--be sure to get there early if you need ADA parking or have small children. Otherwise, please park on the street alongside the entrance and exit of the library. Over the past two years it has doubled in size and is now around 72-75 vendors so it is PACKED. Takes place every Saturday between 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM and the food trucks are there from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM. read more

I'm sad to say that I didn't even realize Crofton HAD a Farmer's Market until I saw cross-advertising from one of their vendors on Facebook. Still, I'm glad to know it exists now! Since we realized it was a thing, we have been steadily going to the Winter Market every weekend it's been open. It's a great way for us to get out of the house, while still maintaining social distancing and keeping things safe. The winter market was located in the parking lot of the Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on 424 (Davidsonville Rd.), basically next to Crofton Park. I can't compare it to the previous location, but there has usually been enough parking and plenty of space for a ton of vendors and several food trucks all at once. Only one time did we have to wait to find a spot, and I'm still not convinced the problem wasn't a bottleneck by a discourteous driver at the head of the line. There are some awesome vendors here, including Dangerously Delicious Pies, Balti-marons, Whistle Stop Winery, and many MANY more. Seriously, too numerous to mention. There's Buzzworks Meadery, Lone Wolf Spirits, a crepe place, a pickle vendor, OBX Shrimp, etc. There's at least one bakery, some craft makers, and tons of other vendors. Naturally some farms are represented there as well. Great fresh produce! They have a map on the website; that's really the best way to check them all out. For the food trucks, there's Heavenly Hotdog BBQ (*drools*), Greek on the Street (yum!!), sometimes a Korean food vendor, sometimes a pizza truck... lots of very tasty options! Most of the vendors accept cards and even the rest usually have a Venmo or other electronic option to keep things more sanitary. Cash is accepted of course if you go that route, so you have options. This is a great way to shop locally and get out of the house. The winter market's were every other Saturday from 10am to 2pm, and the 2021 spring/summer market is slated to run every Wednesday (starting May 5) from 4-7pm. I'll have to find a way to make time during the middle of the week, because this is a great little diversion to the routine. read more

We decided to give other local farmers markets a try in our area thus arriving at the Crofton Farmers Market. They had plenty of parking! The market had an area for food trucks-pizza, ice cream, Korean Fusion, Glazy Dayz, Crepe tent, etc. My daughter got to enjoy a yummy s'mores crepe. Cooked to order and was extra tasty! The other rows of vendors ranged from the following-beer/wine, cupcakes, fresh meat, micro greens, masks, kettle corn, bonsai trees, pickles, jewelry, etc. They had about 3 vendors who sold fresh veggies. We got there about 4:30pm as their hours of operation was 3-7pm. Overall, it was a good visit but I probably won't go back. My preference for a farmers market is to have more farms selling items from their farm. Or selling more vegetables and fruit. read more

One of the BEST Farmer Markets I've been to! Ever vendor there was really nice. This space is great for children to enjoy or for you and your good good girlfriends to get together and shop. Everything I tried was great from the body oil to the whiskey. I highly recommend going and try father's shortbread cookies and dmv empanadas. Everyone had great customer service. Poised for what are guaranteed to be "memorable" birthday gifts from his Wensleydale-Cheese-loving owner, Wallace, the unconditionally-loving canine, Gromit is miffed when he discovers first that he has received an ex-NASA pair of Techno-Trousers and, soon thereafter, that the lodger his gullible owner has rented out his own room to is none other than the devious jewel thief, Feathers McGraw, a penguin whose Clark Kent-like disguise is a rubber glove he shows off in wanted posters to pretend he is a chicken. In the animated short film, The Wrong Trousers, Feathers takes the snoring Wallace himself out for "walkies" and jewel heists, but what if Gromit, being hungry and in a shopping mood, anticipated McGraw's machine and pre-programmed the Techno-Trousers for the in-season Crofton Farmers Market in the spacious parking lot of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Crofton, Maryland instead? Ignoring Gromit's need for rocket fuel and the expense, Wallace would eventually find himself at a bustling and thriving farmers market, with food trucks ranging from the Tex-Mex selling Achiote MCK and Taco Bar Food Truck to the Greek on the Street food truck, Glazey Days Donuts, LLC, and All Fired Up Brick Oven Pizza. Add to that such vendors as Dangerously Delicious Pies (I recommend the apple crumb), Blondie's Donuts, and Tee Cee's Boutique, where Tracy sells homemade rugs, custom-ordered backpacks (my wife and I requested a unicorn) and pillowcases special-ordered-to-size from the fabrics showcased in her cloth masks for sale, and Gromit could rest assured that Wallace will eventually give him the birthday party he deserves while he focuses on apprehending the dastardly Feathers McGraw. Please note, many vendors rotate markets on a week-to-week basis, so it is always best to plan ahead, like Gromit. read more

I finally decided to venture out to this Farmers Market on a sunny, warm August afternoon. It is located at the Crofton Country Club, right off of Route 3. The location is great for a Farmers Market because the stands are situated underneath a patch of trees in the parking lot area. There is plenty of parking adjacent to the country club. I am embarrassed to say that the only reason why I stumbled across this farmers market is because my favorite food truck (T&J Waffles) is typically here. I arrived with my shopping totes in hand, ready to take on the market. There was a great selection of local and organic produce, local bakeries, Baltimore Dog Bakery, Boordy Vineyards, fresh bread from The Breadery, clothes, jewelry, the list is endless. I was worried that a lot of the stalls would be cash only, but many vendors had mobile card readers (awesome!). Towards the end of the market is where all of the action is, the food trucks! On this particular day there was T&J Waffles, Greek on the Street, Pasta La Vista Baby, Mad Flava, an empanada stand, lemonade and funnel cakes. Definitely come hungry! Overall, I am looking forward to making this a regular Wednesday trip. It was very family and dog friendly (lots of babies in strollers and furry babies!) and the prices were reasonable for local and organic items. I'll be back! read more

I love this place! I came here with a coworker who actually lives in the area. I told her this will be a regular for me on Wednesday evening for at least the next two weeks and l live in Odenton, Maryland. I really enjoyed myself. I purchased two bottles of wine from Boordy. Yes they have a free tasting. I ordered a crabcake slider from the crab truck. It came with homemade potato chips. Omg the sandwich was good and piping hot. I definitely will be getting that again. The next time will be a whole sandwich. I also tried the shrimp empanada pattie. My most favorite was my refreshing Pitaya fruit bowl. I love that you select the toppings to suit your satisfaction. It was super delicious! They have lots of parking available and people bring their pets and blankets and chairs. They also have a few benches near the pizza food trucks. Such a variety of food selections from vegetables to hot dinner meals. They also offer entertainment. They had a band playing. I definitely look forward to returning and so glad l finally made it there due to all this rain that we have been having. Can't wait to return! read more

You'll find me here most weekends, excitedly trying something new or picking up a few of our farmers market favorites. It really feels good to be supporting local businesses. The food truck selection is always really great, you can grab a coffee and donut, or even a really delicious lunch. I really love how there's always a produce stand with seasonal fruits/veggies. I can never resist the urge to grab a shrimp or chorizo empanada from DMV empanadas, who is always at the market. I'll happily wait in line for some fresh bread from Evergrain Bread Co. Coastal Canyon Seafood has the freshest shrimp at a great price. My fridge and pantry are full of really amazing and unique items that I've found here. If you pop by during the summer and Stony Man Coffee and Donuts is there- you must try the smoked cherry arnold palmer. It's honestly one of the most unique and delicious drinks I've ever had! Kudos to the organizers who go to great lengths to make this a great market! read more

This is no doubt the BEST farmer's market in the state! I started going when I found out T&J Waffles would be there. The time parameters it runs on are SO convenient, and the location is wonderful. There is such a huge selection of foods and other items, you literally could do your grocery shopping here for the week. They sometimes run events, like the chili cook-off coming up, which makes it all the more of an enjoyable experience. Parking is a breeze thanks to the large lots surrounding it. There's a variety of food trucks that come on a regular basis, so you can have dinner as well if you feel so inclined! read more

I love the Crofton Farmer's Market. It had a great selection of artisan goods, yummy foods, fresh produce, and drinks and all of this is great but I have three words for you: Charm. City. Meadworks. Super delicious if you've never had mead before - live a little and get some mead the next time you go on a beer or wine run (and it happens to be Wednesday afternoon) (and you happen to be in Crofton.) Stop buying awful, OLD produce at the grocery store, and stock up on some of the local stuff next time you get a chance. Short of having a garden, it's pretty much the best. Crofton Farmers' Market is THE place to be late Wednesday afternoons in West County. Vendors of all sorts - crafts, ready-to-eat foods, produce, flowers & plants, specialty and artisan food items, dog treats & collars, coffees, wines, root & ginger beers, amusements for kiddies, a place to sit & eat supper in the fresh air - they've got it all going on at the CFM! The vendors are uniformly easy to meet and talk with; many take credit/debit cards, all of them take cash. A friendly place and you're sure to bump into someone you know who's just scored a great deal! Wednesdays, 4-7pm, on Rt. 3 North in front of the Giant parking lot. This is primarily based on a review of "All Fired Up" pizza at the market. It is truly wood fired pizza, but lacks in a lot of ways. The crust is soft, has a floury taste (ever heard of cornmeal to help with the crust sticking?) Cheese and sauce is good, but toppings seem like they came from a trip to BJ's (Kraft Parm Cheese, McCormick peppers.) It just ruins the fake farm to table vibe. Other stands do not seem to be farm to table either, or if they do, have a lack of selection. Overall, the market is not genuine, just a bunch of questionable vendors. read more
