The Cronlinnhe Guest House was the perfect Bed and Breakfast for out two night stay in Ft. William! We stayed in the Lundy Suite, which was as beautifully decorated and cozy as the rest of the house. It was so fun to read up on the history of the room and look out over the gorgeous views of the Loch.
We planned to come in on a late bus the first night of our stay - Sophie (the host) sent us our breakfast order ahead of time to fill out, and even waited up to make sure we made it in alright. Breakfast both days was delicious - we chose the Full English, Eggs and Tomato, Vegetarian Haggis, and Kippers to try over the course of our stay. It was easy to walk down to the loch or the High Street, and there is a little shop just down the road for anything else you might need. The bus and railway station in about a 20 min walk through town, or you can easily sort a rental car, taxi, or use the local bus system.
The cherry on top of our stay at Crolinnhe was playing a few quiet games of chess over a dram of local whiskey in the evening.
Sophie has really gone to lengths to make sure this B&B is the best that there is - and it shows! I would definitely recommend it as a home base for a Highlands excursion! read more
