It's a gas station. Food is decent, staff is good depending on whos running the register. Overall, no complaints.

Can you get fresh food 24/7 or does the kitchen have shorter hours? If I want wings n pizza at 4am is it a green light or am I outta luck?

Sara, pizza and subs are available 24/7! I would call ahead if you want anything fried because they usually turn the fryers off at night so they can be cleaned.

Right down the road where it dead ends into the lake there's a parking lot with a view, light house, public fishing dock, bathrooms, pavilion with picnic beaches, and ferry to cross the lake.

Best of all, good advice on which fish are hitting and the bait they are hitting on from the super friendly, helpful staff. Their advice helped me catch some nice yellow perch, which ended up making for some delicious perch sandwiches. Also, I had one of their breakfast sandwiches and found it to be one of the best I've ever had; totally delicious, and totally satisfying. Plus, the outback picnic benches were ideal for me to enjoy my meal. The only problem is some totally inconsiderate patrons who will pump their gas or diesel, then leave their vehicle sitting at the pump and go inside to shop or eat.

Hogan's Hut - Great Italian sub. I ordered wheat and they did it on white, but it was still great.

We stopped into this little convenience store for a drink, snack, and quick restroom break. FYI -…read moreThere are no public restrooms available, but there are Porto Potty's outside. There is a little photo op area with a hand carved wooden bald eagle which is pretty cool and the owner was friendly enough to chat with us for a few minutes. Several notable highlights are: Barcelona used to be called Portland Harbor but was renamed in the 1800's; the store sells a variety of Stewart's soda, which was one of my favorites growing up in NY; you can purchase a hunting/fishing license here; the store sells bate-n-tackle; has UPS shipping available, and sits next to the Barcelona Lighthouse, which is one of the oldest oil-lite lighthouses still standing from the 1800's; however, transitioned to natural gas in 1831, making it the oldest natural gas lit light house in the U.S., and the world, pretty cool! There is not a lot of other stores in the area, so if you are passing through you might want to stop for gas and anything else you need while you have a chance. There was another small rest area just up the road at the Daniel Reed Memorial Pier with indoor restrooms but everything was locked up and a sign said closed for the season. All-in-all, it got the job done and I recommend them.

Seems like a spot that locals frequent - we discovered it just driving around. I must say the diner booths are some of the most comfortable I've ever rested my buns on. We came in for breakfast but they look to have a great selection of local beers and wine.

All that's the same are the pep balls (this state, Pizzalvania, will pep anything) that come frozen from international bakery. The layout is the same bc they've invested zero in the building. The bathroom is down a narrow hallway and you might need to leave the door open bc clearances are that tight. Def not handi accessible. Food is whatevs. Basically the same as everything else in town - frozen and off the Maplevale or Curtze food trucks. Pizza. Subs. Yellowish gravy on soft mushy foods. Vegetables from cans. Blah.

First impressions are everything, and this establishment failed to make a good one. Walking in to the dated dining room, we were greeted by unbussed tables, but not an employee. Without making eye contact, the woman behind the counter took our order and told us our carryout order would be 15-20 minutes, so we took a stroll around town. Returning, we were greeted back by the dirty, unbussed tables and picked up our order. Note, we were the only customers there. We got the pie home, and it had that fresh-from-the-can flavor. The crust was completely acceptable, cooked to just the right crispness. The toppings, however were lacking in flavor and presentation. Over the sweet yet tinny canned sauce, was an inconsistent layer of mozzarella - both in coverage and degree of melting. Decorating the cheese lumps was a fine quality pepperoni, with wet, canned mushrooms. Most peculiar was the sausage. It was as though a dinner sausage was cooked several days ago, smashed by hand and thrown scornfully at the pizza pie. Overall, the pizza was edible, but entirely forgettable. Paired with a dining room that evoked a desire not to touch anything and non-existent customer service, I would recommend getting a better pizza elsewhere, and we won't visit again. For a pizzeria, I expected better out of their titular fare, but it seems like pizza is an after thought to rest of the menu, but probably mostly their tired selection of deep fried appetizers.
