A nice more so small restaurant than food truck that has great food and a charming Americana diner aesthetic

Food: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 2/5 This place is adorable, classic American fare with a twist! Fries were available in several styles from several places. Poutine fries are pictured, and they also had chimichurri fries (that we tried and didn't take a picture of) as well as several others. Food was hot, flavorful and what you would expect, no surprise flavors. Ambiance, was decent, we ate outside on a hot and humid day, and weren't miserable (take that for what you will). Service? Just ok. The lady taking orders was borderline obnoxious, I get it, ask folks if they want add-ons, but I couldn't get through ordering [for five of us] without her interrupting asking if we want to add 17 different items to the thing I just ordered. We came here 2 years ago during a trip to Zion. I told my husband that it might have been the best meal of my life. I was also very hungry after going too long after a hike without eating. We are back in Utah 2 years later (this time for Bryce Canyon), and I actually made my husband drive a little out of the way so that we could come back. Even without coming off a hike this time, this was still just as amazing. (I got a Cuban, husband got Philly & poutine). Must check this place out if remotely nearby. read more

Everything from the food to the staff was amazing. We made a detour to stop here and we were not disappointed. I had the Asian chicken sandwich and it was huge, tasty, and unlike anything I've had before. You'll need extra napkins! Nice little place. Varied menu with lots of specials so should be something for everyone. Seating outside and a limited amount inside the Little trolley car. The burger was good, the fries were good. While staying in Hurricane, we wanted to try local spots instead of fast food and came across this place both driving by and on Yelp. It's such a cute little spot--kind of like a stationary food truck with a cozy dining area. They have a great selection and fun specials, but the best part is their Cross-Country Diner theme. Instead of numbers, you get a state card--we got Maryland, complete with fun facts. Such a creative touch. I had the Tampa-style Cuban with salami, my husband ordered the French dip special, and we couldn't resist the mixed berry pie. Everything was delicious and the staff was super friendly. What a cute little place! We stopped on our drive home from Utah. I love that they give you these cards with a state and facts about the state. They use this in place of numbers to call out. The service was quick and the staff were friendly! The food was decent. I came with family and we ordered a lot of items. I know they liked their food items. I ended up going with the fish and chips. The fish was okay. It was not my favorite. One of the pieces of fish felt a bit more on the tough side rather than flaky. I just wasn't a fan as far as the texture and the batter. But the coleslaw was the star! I would definitely get the coleslaw again and maybe try a different menu item next time I am in town. read more

I visit Hurricane, quite often since I have family there. I have driven by this restaurant dozens of times and finally decided to stop and check them out. You order your food outside and then they give you a little card with a state on it and take it inside to wait for your order. This is a cute little all American diner. I had the Ruben with fries and I absolutely loved it. If you were in the mood for burger or a sandwich, definitely check those place out. We drove past this place on our way back from Zion in late October. We were curious so we stopped. So glad we did! I loved the vibe, and the service was friendly. It's a small walk-up diner with plenty of outdoor dining places. They offer food from different states and give you a cute state card as your order number. The burgers are flavorful. We passed by this little place, and absolutely had to go stop by & grab dinner; It was the cutest diner ever!!! Their menu items looked delish! We tried some of the specialty burgers which were huge, and so mouthwatering!!! my husband had the Utah's Mac burger, and it came with fries. He absolutely loved it! I had the Michigan Wally burger. It was huge I must admit I only ate one of the breads and we ordered a side of chimichurri fries so delicious. They also have this side dressing or spread its peach but it's so good !!! Oh MY Gaaaaaaaah! This place was SOOOO GOOD! Ok so, me and the hubbs are traveling back to our airbnb in Hurricane Utah after spending a day in Bryce Canyon. Being the Jr Foodies we are, I checked on yelp for a place that had great reviews and would be something different (no chains). I found THIS PLACE and holy mackerel am I so glad I did AND that we stopped. WE ordered to-go and brought it all back to our place. Let me just tell you, I could not stop myself from OVER indulging because every bite was so satisfying and I couldn't get enough! I'm not sure but I think this may be a family owned spot which only added to the charm of it all! They were so friendly, nailed our order, and the wait time was only about ten mins. Drove into Hurricane, UT to see the museums and check out this historic town. The kids and wife wanted DQ but we drove past this cute diner and immediately said let's do it! Been watching this place for months. Never really know if it's open or not. Located on the corner of Main Street Hurricane. We decided to try them for lunch today after visiting a farmers market. It's a larger trailer that's been fashioned after a 20's diner. The theme here is 50's. Pretty cool . First thing you figure out is no parking! They have 2 actual parking spaces on site, but one is taken by their Van. So really they have one spot. Street parking is almost as bad. As we watched customers come in it was clear this is an issue. So when you approach to order they have a picture wall of what they make. I like that because it gives you an idea of each item. Greeted by a woman sticking her head out the order window. She said something but I didn't hear what she said. My wife replied. It became obvious she wasn't dealing with a full deck. She must have been on something as she showed big signs of substance abuse. In our conversation we found she had just arrived in town and started here 3 days earlier. Not sure this gig will work out for her. We decide what to order. Shrimp Po Boy sandwich, Fish Tacos and French Fries Poutine. The cook here is amazing! One guy making it all. Very impressed at this point. We find an indoor seat as the wind is blowing ( that's why this town is named Hurricane). Inside there's pics and 45 records all over the walls from the 50's. Had a flat screen tv showing Route 66 footage. Ready now for a great lunch! Meal came in a timely manner. Very excited to see and taste what we ordered. So here we go. On visual & presentation 5 stars. See my pics. Start with the Poutine. Large serving, looked like their picture but lacking cheese. Isn't that what it's about? First taste the gravy was flavorful, but salty. Had a garlicky taste with sliced green onions mixed in. Fries were also salty. After 3 bites it was just to salty between gravy & fries. Lack of cheese also left me flat. So on a one to five star rating a 2. Maybe salt issue was an oversight? On to the Fish Tacos. Order comes with 3 tacos and French fries with fry sauce. These were huge! So big it was hard to get the first one out of the styrofoam container they came in. So much toppings that 1/4 fell off before 1st bite. Ok I do that all the time when I make my own. Big bite and excited. Well not to bad. Fish was crunchy and large portion. Way to much Slaw. Pico was disappointing. Looked ok but no flavor. Wasn't chopped small enough & no taste. Worst part was the sour cream slathered over the entire taco. Tried to find any flavor in sauce but it was just sour cream. What could have been so good just rated 3 stars for the Fish. Chop the slaw amount by 2/3 and make a good Pico. Make a cilantro garlic lime sauce and oh yea serve with a fresh lime slice! Then you have a 5 star Taco here. Now for the Shrimp Po Boy. This is what my Wife had and I am having food envy looking at her eating it! Great bread, nice veggies and deep fried shrimp. This is also served with a side of fries. This was her first time she tried this classic sandwich. She liked it a lot, but it was lacking in Shrimp. Bun was 3" wide X 10" long. Not more than 6-7 quarter sized shrimp. All the renditions I have had well it's about the Shrimp! She rated it at 4 stars. If it had more shrimp think she would order again. To wrap up this lengthy review I was excited for all the 5 star reviews. At this point I can only do 3. Was this a bad day here? Who knows. It's priced pretty high as our lunch was almost $40. Tourists area has a lot to do with that. I would be willing to try again and seek out the 5 star items. Enjoy read more

Really cool new add-on for sitting indoors. I had the Italian grinder and I could not stop eating it. The fries were amazing and the fry sauce was the best I ever tasted.
