How are there not more 5 star reviews? We have been there twice now since just recently trying them. The BBQ bowl is fantastic as is the 2 meat special. I have got the brisket and pulled pork with the two sides of salad and fried cauliflower. Brisket not fatty and very tender. Pulled pork very tasty. you add your own sauce. Salad crisp and fresh and the fried cauliflower is a must. Highly recommend this place. Have only been there for lunch, but the ladies that work there have been super nice both times. read more

One of my favorite things to do whenever I visit Utah is visit local barbecue restaurants because it's something that's sorely lacking from where I live! Lonny Boy's was a freaking slam dunk and had some of the best tasting barbecue sauce that I have had in recent memory. The brisket was super flavorful and delicious and so was everything else we ordered. The coleslaw looked really plain, but was packed with flavor. The baked beans were delicious. We got the family meal which was around $100 but it was huge enough to feed four adults, three teenagers, and a child. Definitely more than enough. The system is set up to be very efficient and you wait in line then find your own seat. It's a high volume operation and they are designed for large groups as they have big tables and everything comes out really quickly. They have an assembly line style for preparing the food. The decoration is full on Americana and fit the barbecue theme perfectly. I just love places like this. Overall, if you're looking for barbecue, you can't go wrong with this place. Totally awesome. Frychos!!! Picture fries covered with melty cheese and BBQ meat. Along with a white sauce and whatever bbq sauce you like. I always go with a half order. Brisket and pulled pork for my meat choice. It's plenty of food and super delicious. The brisket was actually very moist and tender. They also have a solid beer selection. I was able to get a pitcher of a local brew. I found this to be decent not great. The pulled pork was a bit dry, the brisket okay, not great. The sides were pretty good and decent portions. Was invited to Lonny Boys for a birthday celebration & the food was delicious! We ordered 3 family size packages and some drinks & reserved a private area - I think called the meeting room. When you walk in you go toward the right to order & get drinks. I asked to try a sample of peach beer & that seemed to be a little hassle but I was accommodated - which was good because I didn't care for it. We ended ordering the citrus IPAs & had our dinners which included- chicken, pork & brisket with 3 sides - which included beans, macaroni salad, potato salad & cornbread. The perfect meal after a full day of hiking in Zion! We came here Friday evening and were able to order and get our food to-go in less than 30 minutes. The staff were friendly and gave us some great recommendations on sides, since they all sounded so good. We went tried the Ribs, Brisket, Chicken, Cornbread, Garlic Red Mashed Potatoes, Mac 'N Cheese, Coleslaw, and Hush Puppies. The ribs were so delicious and practically falling off the bone. We really enjoyed our sides too, first time trying hush puppies and now I'll be craving these! We did think the cornbread and brisket were a little dry, but overall we really enjoyed our food. My husband and son had gone here before and raved about the frychoes. We were in town for a baseball tournament so they wanted to come back. We shared the chicken frychoes, a one meat plate with brisket, I got fried pickles, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. The fried pickles were some of the best I've ever had!! To be honest I don't like BBQ very much so I can't give a proper review of the food (what I ate was good but I don't know how it compares to other places). My family all enjoyed their meals. When you go in, you wait in line to order (in our case, a very long line). This line was SLOW and I was getting increasingly anxious that we wouldn't be eating for hours. However, by the time we finally got to the front of the line (20 minutes or so) things became lighting fast! We had barely sat down and they brought our hot food right to us. We were very impressed! The best part of this place is a soft serve ice cream dispenser -- each customer can help themselves to one mini ice cream cone after dinner for free. It was so much fun, and made it such a special experience. I really think this should become standard at every restaurant - salt and pepper on the table, mini ice cream cone after dinner. read more
