I honestly don't know why this place has such high reviews. I love going to and supporting local businesses, but this one, I CANNOT recommend. High expectations based off of reviews + wait times (must be popular!) Imagine my surprise when I opened the pizza box and saw what looked like a Costco combo pizza (RIP), albeit smaller, less delicious and twice as expensive (the Hurricane). It was also missing the "jalapeno or pineapple". My kids ate their pizza and said it was "not bad", but they will also eat dominos with the same review. At any rate, take the high ratings with a cupful of salt. We've decided that Utah food ratings must be based on a massive curve. Not sure who is eating this food, but you guys need to go eat some legit pizza somewhere else. read more

We have been waiting to eat at this establishment since we missed it in 2022. They are only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 4-9pm (11am Sat), so it is not the easiest pizza to procure! They get backed up with orders right away, but now offer inline ordering in advance. I would HIGHLY suggest getting an order in early, it is well worth it! They had to relocate to a food truck area just down the street, but have a cool setup. The few employees are in constant movement, prepping, cooking and boxing pizzas by the hundreds. They do have a massive lemonade they are famous for, but if you order one please be patient with them as bigger fish to fry! We got a half and half Margherita and Meat Lovers add jalapeño. We watched them make it in the oven that also functions as a smoker. Wow! It was the best pizza we have ever had. It checked all the boxes: Sweet, smokey, depth pf flavor, quality toppings and cheeses. We smashed the whole pizza in 10 minutes and will be back again!! Pro tip, they have plates, napkins and silverware to the right of the register. Get a fork and knife for the middle of the pizza, or use the NYC fold technique. Service: sweet gal took our order over the phone, was patient in helping us decide between 2 pizzas as we were first timers and from out of town. She was also courteous when we arrived. Ambiance: it's roadside dinning. We had our dog with us and it was perfect. They have a row of wooden picnic tables but they felt more like for kids. One of the wooden tables is bigger though. I preferred the iron/metal table which we were able to score. Id say it's very family friendly no frills. Experience: we were very grateful to read all the yelpers review which told us about people who loved the pizza but were so angry about the time it took to be served. Because of that, as we were driving back to the city of Virgin after visiting the horseshoe bend in Paige Arizona, we were able to call in well in advance to place that order. What I put together over the phone was they had time slots mapped out. Upon arriving, I saw a sheet made that helps keep things consistent. It was a sheet with time slots and blank spaces below. The business has an algorithm for how fast they can shell out pizzas and you get what you get for how their flow of customers and size orders for the day. There was hardly a line there but a steady flow people coming to pick up or sit down and eat, so do make sure to CALL AHEAD. Pizzas are MADE TO ORDER, no premade items sitting around. The dough was enjoyable, included leoparding (dough rise marks) and had a slight chew in the bite. It was about 14 inches. We had not ate all day and there was 2 of us. No left overs/to-go. We had the Chicken Bacon Ranch but after arriving/ordering I wished I would have saw the "Hurricane". It's a meatier choice. Apparently the yelpers photos were old and didn't reflect all the current pizzas. I'll include photos of the most up-to-date menu on in this review. I'd definite come back again on my next trip to Zion and The Wave. I'd probably try the hurricane and have one of their specialty lemonades. Looking forward! read more

This place cook their pizzas properly but I wouldn't say it's the best pizza in the nation (which is what a lot of people have told us) There were so many takeouts and the line was so long. We ordered online at 4pm but they didn't have availability until 6:30pm. We ordered the pepperoni, margarita, bacon chicken ranch, meat lover and a dessert pizza. Everything was good. this used to be called the Pizza Wagon until it was bought out by Dixie Pizza Wagon. They had a-lot more employees, which is probably why the pizza price went up but the pizza is not the same. The crust used to be light and crunchy and the sauce changed. They seem to be more concentrated on their lemonades instead of the pizza. read more

The pizza here is ridiculously good. I was in town for the weekend and remembered this place was on a list of one of the best pizza quality in the US. I called in and drove 30 min from St. George. Rolled in first thing as they opened. It's a small wood fired outdoor shack. Both workers were very friendly. I ordered a margarite pizza and siciliano with sausages, and the Nutella pizza. All of them were delicious. My kids loved the Nutella pizza. First off, the quality of the bread, cheese and ingredients is high end. And the price is reasonable. You get so much more for what you pay for. Best pizza easily in Utah and probably the best pizza I've ever had. Worth a long drive for!! read more

Horrible service. I understand being busy and I'm not complaining about the 1hr wait for pizza, but to take our lemonade orders (all we ordered) then proceed to take other pizza orders doesn't work if the person running the register is also making the lemonade. Tow lemonades should not be a 15min wait. Also the yelp address on here is wrong so you have to get the correct one from google maps. Thanks for wasting 40min while drove to the wrong place, figured out the new address, etc **update--the lemonade is awful. We got one with a mint and one with a cucumber add in. This place came highly recommended by a friend, so we went out of our way to pay them a visit. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Ordered a Sicilian and Margarita. The Sicilian only had 5-6 pieces of sausage per slice and there were no salt on the margarita's crust. The crust was not 'airy' like other visitors posted here; kind of chewy. How would I rate this place? Perhaps between Little Caesar and Papa John. For $15 per pizza, completely not worth it. This is a top notch establishment. Their customer service is unbeatable and the pizza is mouth watering delicious. We got pizza two nights in a row the two nights we were in hurricane, that's how insanely good it was. Call ahead to reserve your pizza time cause it's popular and the slots fill up fast. Not sure how I didn't finish this review but coming through town on a road trip we found this place on Yelp with great reviews and decided to call and see if we were early enough to put in an order while we were on the road. We had to try a few times to get through but once we did, we put our order in and worked out great we were coming through town right when it would be about ready. Beware this is just a shack on the side of the road as I wasn't aware of that so we were looking for a strip mall or restaurant of some sort. Worked out OK when I called I asked them to give me directions and I was just right in the parking lot next-door. They were doing construction at the time, but she directed me to the right place. The pizza was fresh and and they were making it right there and turning it in the oven as we arrived. Put it in box and even though ours had a tiny little corner that got a little extra crispy, it was wonderful. We will definitely be back when we're in town again later this year now that we know what we're looking for and we know how to call ahead before they run out. read more

We almost didn't come here because I wasn't very excited about the menu. Then I read the rave Yelp reviews and decided my first impression was wrong. My husband and I shared: - Italian Cowboy - Chicken Bacon Ranch The pizzas are pretty big and we probably could have shared one. At $10 per pizza it's pretty hard to beat the price considering the size. I usually pay more for pizzas smaller than this. They were both fantastic. I loved that the crust was a little doughy. I had a slight preference for the Italian Cowboy. They were pretty similar though, so I wish we had gone with one of them that was more different. I highly recommend calling ahead to order. We were there mid afternoon on a Friday and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. It ended up being 60 minutes. Luckily our hotel was close by and we just went back there to wait. I highly recommend stopping here for some delicious pizza. read more
