STAY AWAY, STAY FAR, FAR AWAY as many others have said. These people are CON ARTISTS. You've heard of scam moving companies that up the price after your things are loaded on the truck. Well, this is one of them, only much worse. The initial quote was less than 3k. Then it doubled to 6k. Then it tripled to 10k. It's a total SCAM. After we paid the non-refundable deposit, it was so difficult to get ahold of anyone at the office to find out when our things would arrive at our new home. We were told the movers were driving our things from Florida to Philadelphia on a Friday and they would arrive on Sunday (it's a two-day drive), so we left on Friday as well, driving the two days up there to intercept them. They did not show up on Sunday. They did not show up on Monday. They did not show up on Tuesday. It was a nightmare! They finally arrived with our things on Wednesday after we had to go without our things for three days and the head mover was gruff and rude and did not apologize at all for our things being late. When they first picked up our things, they had already loaded them onto a truck that was much larger than we needed because they were moving other people as well. After they drove off with our things, they reloaded them onto an 18-wheeler for some reason. Then they realized that they didn't have anywhere to park their 18-wheeler at our new place, so they reloaded our things again onto a smaller truck. So when they finally arrived with our things, they demanded another $550 for them having to move our things from the 18-wheeler onto a smaller truck when we never asked them to load our things onto an 18-wheeler in the first place! What was even worse about them reloading our things from one truck to another and another (and charging us more for it) is that a lot of our furniture was damaged or broken. The items in my filing cabinet were tossed around as if it had been in a tornado or an earthquake. I have never had this happen before in my life! On top of that, the filing cabinet was dented. This is an metal filing cabinet that was wrapped in a blanket! It was as if they deliberately went out of their way to damage it. Let me start saying I work for Amazon and I know enough about logistic. I also move 5 times in 8 years. The move with cross country moving group was the worst. Before I move on, please note there is investigation in progress against Cross Country by the Attorney General of Florida (Sworn Consumer Complaint) - this is should enough for not hiring them - please follow up with Shawn Lux ( Office of Attorney General Ashley Moody) for more information. Cross Country provided a wrong quote (not sure was an honest mistake). I shared detailed pictures of what I wanted to move and they considerably underestimated the volume. When the carrier came over, I had to pay 1/3 more (total $2.800) - I did have more boxes than I shared with Cross Country so I was prepared to pay more but I also decided non to move some pieces of furniture. The additional boxes were not 1/3 more of the volume for sure. Besides, Hamilton, the sale rep I engaged, lied to me about everything. First he said they would not use carriers (instead they did), they told me would be the same truck that delivers my stuff to my new property. That was not true so my stuff were loaded/unloaded 5 times before the final unload to my property - several furniture were damaged. This was my first time hiring professional movers. I had always moved myself but decided to spend a little money and let someone else do the heavy lifting. Now these guys aren't the cheapest mover but the most reliable, fastest and most efficient. I got the quote from their website. It was so easy to get the quote only few clicks and we got the quote. First they came to our house 3 days before the move and examined our house and give us the amount it will take for the move. At moving day around 9 am a truck arrived at our doorsteps. The crew consisted of 4 guys. everything was wrapped in blankets and tape- so no scratches or scrapes to the furniture. They handled everything with care and moved stuff in and out efficiently like pros even with the stairs in both residences. When we reached our new home they helped us unpack our stuff and even put together my new bed frame for me. I'm a very picky customer with very high standards, and I was extraordinarily pleased with my move. If i am pleased i am sure you will also be pleased. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS IF YOU LIKE YOUR STUFF These guys are brokers. They do not do the moving and they do not care about what happens. They were to take our belongings from 1 coast to the other. They never disclosed that they were going to take my belongings and put them in storage until they had a driver in Las Vegas. Extra handling and mishandling by various people causing lost, stolen, damaged and broken items. We paid extra to have nothing placed above 3 machines and a weaving loom, Much to our dismay, when the truck arrived at the destination our equipment was buried under tons of boxes costing us thousands of dollars to repair and they never credited us for the space they used that was to be left vacant. Fragile boxes were crushed, hundreds of dollars of dishes destroyed, equipment was damaged but the worst was about half of our 500 boxes were ransacked and retaped. Coins stolen, computer software stolen, over 40 boxes missing and over $10,000 worth of missing and damaged goods. We noticed that a lot of our boxes were on their tops and noticed that the boxes were habitually turned over to see if they rattled or sounded like money. Labeled boxes were searched and pilfered for various items. Items I packed were located in boxes my husband packed. Items packed in boxes from San Antonio move were repacked in California boxes but the contents of the California boxes was gone. They tore heavy duty wheels off of 4 industrial steel cabinets and severely damaged the others due to negligence. Gouged furniture, dropped boxes and broke top of cabinet and all I was told was, "file a claim". They dragged furniture across my newfinished oak floor scratching it costing more moeny. I also found where they tried to pry open a couple of my locked cabinets with what appears to be a screwdriver. Broke both screw holes on one cabinet but could not gain access so they pried on the front hinges and plates. Dented it and made it necessary to totally replace the cabinet. Also they broke into another locked cabinet and stole money and tools after prying teh drawer open and leaving all of it in pieces. AVOID THIS MOVING COMPANY! They run the biggest scam I have ever seen. They were friendly and helpful while quoting the move, but as a broker they pass it on to any move that will take the job, with absolutely no concern for the customer, and no repercussion for Cross Country. I also made a couple of additions to my quote about a week before the move, and they tried to charge 50% more on their commission fee, which I called them out on. I had issues with my furniture and items being damaged once they arrived (a TV and monitor were missing and unable to be found), and when I called to voice my complaints I was told to reach out to the directly to the mover since they are just a broker. The mover was Stop and Move, LLC and they have a 1-star rating as well. Thanks for setting me up with them, Cross Country. To top it all off, the cubic footage that they quoted me was TREMENDOUSLY overstated. The pricing was good at the beginning, but the mover showed up and said I was more than double what the estimate was. I had everything moved across the country to a storage unit while we looked for a house. Honestly one star is truly kind of me, like one of the other reviewers said I wish I could give -20384032824082340 and that still wouldn't convey how truly scammy and hellacious this company is. You would genuinely be better walking cross country with your couch. A pal used these movers so despite their horrific reviews I thought it would be fine. I should have known it was weird when Thomas McGarry sent me a very dramatic YOU MUST USE US OR ELSE text but I really needed to get my stuff out of storage. Thomas McGarry quoted me a low number, then when the actual movers got there to pick up my things said they had my stuff in the truck and I either could pay very literally 2x the price or they wouldn't move me at all. Then, they had the third party come in, who seemed like even more of a scam artist. After promising me my stuff would be delivered from New York to Florida in 2 weeks, it took about 2 months and I wasn't able to get into contact with anyone the entire time to find out was happening or what the delay was. Out of the blue one day after texting, WhatsApping, calling, and emailing they simply asked when I wanted my things to arrive for the next day while I was already out of town as I had no notice. If I could do negative stars, I would. This company is a complete scam and shouldn't be allowed to remain in business. Our process started with a video walkthrough of our home (due to covid) where the assessor asked questions, we provided answers and showed what needed to be shipped. He then provided an estimate on what it would cost. He came in a lot lower than our other estimates so we asked why, he claimed they estimate by poundage where everyone else estimates with cubic feet, making them more accurate and less likely to overshoot. He also told us that his estimate was 95% accurate, it may adjust by a hundred or so, but that's it. So we paid the deposit and started packing. This was about 2 months prior to the move. Cut to one week before the move, their QA department contacts us asking for an updated box count to finalize our estimate. We provided it (note: we had not hidden anything, the boxes packed were all of the things the assessor saw in the video). They then doubled our estimate (from $7k to $14k) and asked for our second deposit. Frazzled that we were only a week out from moving and couldn't find another mover we just paid the difference and decided to leave middle-level review complaining about how the assessor clearly was incompetent. Now we get to moving day. A small (tiny) truck shows up with two movers to move our 4 bedroom + garage home. They didn't bring any of the materials we had paid for (and were listed in our contract) to pack a few fragile items we wanted them to handle. The truck is unmarked and has graffiti on it. There is absolutely no way these guys can take our stuff. They can't pack the items we need packed, they can't fit our stuff in their truck, and there's only two of them and they show up at noon, no way they're finishing the job on time. We are forced to send them away and call Cross Country Movers asking them to fix the situation. It takes them around 2 weeks to provide another moving company and date, at which point the closing on our house is fast approaching. The dates they provided were past our closing date, or too close to closing so that if they weren't done on time we were going to have problems. At this point we had to rally the troops and get a U-Pack and do it ourselves, cancelling our contract with Cross Country Movers since they were unable to move our belongings. After cancelling the contract they email me saying that they will provide 50% of the deposit back, and they would process this and count it as a contractual agreement if I responded with an affirmative answer. I responded with a negative answer saying this was completely unacceptable and they were not keeping any of my deposit since it was their error that caused all of this. I then get an email from their COO saying "thanks for agreeing" and then received my 50% refund. We have been fighting with them to get the rest of our refund back for nearly 3 months now. Cross Country Moving Group was a nightmare to deal with. Do yourself an enormous favor and DO NOT use them for long-distance shipping! They're brokers, a middleman, so all they do is outsource your contract to a different third-party shipping company, which are horrible to deal with themselves. When we spoke to our sales rep, Hamilton, we asked him to provide us with a pick-up date in advance that would ensure our things would arrive by the date we needed. He assured us that 7 days would be enough time. Like the previous reviewer stated, the sales reps at this company will say anything to "win" your business. They sound very nice initially over the phone, saying they like to "go above and beyond for their customers", but nothing could be further from the truth. Literally, ON THE DAY of pick-up, we learned that it could take up to 30 business days for our things to arrive in Texas. I called Cross Country's customer service and low and behold, their promise and tone had drastically changed. Their customer service MANAGER even hung up on me. So where do we stand now? An entire month has passed and all of our belongings are STILL sitting in a warehouse in LA! NOTHING has been shipped and we've been living out of our suitcase all this time. My fiance and I even had to change our travel plans and wedding date! Let me repeat: please DO NOT use this company for your long-distance moving needs. If I could do this all over again, I would have done pallet-shipping or paid more for a *designated* long-distance moving truck company, that goes from point A to point B. TLDR: DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! I hired them in 2019 for a move from San Francisco, CA to Fort Lauderdale, FL. They broke/damaged half my stuff, didn't repay us for ANY of the damages, and also charged us DOUBLE our original quote despite being sent a super detailed Inventory List ahead of time. Upon the arrival of the moving team from Evergreen Relocation (the company they actually contracted for the truck and moving personnel) on September 29th, 2019 at our previous home in San Francisco, the team leader performed a walkthrough of our inventory to finalize the cubic footage quote prior to loading our belongings into the truck. Within just a few minutes, he said "something seems off, your quote is only for 600 cubic feet." My original quote was for 610 cubic feet, totaling $3,328.37. I provided a very detailed inventory list well ahead of time including item dimensions and quantities, to which the sales agent replied "Beautiful email. You are the ideal customer I am looking for!! People this thorough, and organized have the least stressful relocations." My impression at that point was that they had evaluated the very meticulous information I'd provided about our inventory to provide me with the original quote. They also claimed that they "overestimated by about 15 percent on each object" giving me even more peace of mind that our quote was given thoughtfully, and would likely come down. When they finished the walkthrough of our inventory, he pulled me aside and said, "Taylor, I'm sorry, but there's no way that your items will only take up 600 cubic feet. I think it's going to be around 1,200, which brings your total move cost to $6,229.22." I was absolutely floored by the HUGE discrepancy. I then pulled up the inventory sheet that I'd sent to Cross Country Moving Group, and after quickly viewing it, He said that whoever prepared my quote likely didn't bother looking at the details/dimensions I'd provided, because if they had, the quote would have been at least over 1,000 cubic feet, and if they truly had overestimated by 15% based on my dimensions, my original quote would have likely been for around 1,500 cubic feet, regardless of the fact that our actual inventory ended up having a few extra boxes that were not on the original inventory sheet. Being that our travel plans were already scheduled, we couldn't turn him away to find a new mover, so we proceeded. We were told to expect our items to arrive in Florida some time between 10/9-10/11. Those dates went by and I received no phone calls, no texts, no emails, as to the actual delivery date. I had to hunt down someone from Evergreen to give me the cell number to my driver. He then told me to expect our items on 10/15. This was a huge inconvenience as we arrived in Florida on the 8th and ended up having to get a hotel until our furniture arrived since we didn't have a bed or any of our Wi-Fi equipment to be able to do our jobs. I understand that the price per cubic foot ($3.50/ft) was honored for the additional space our items needed, however, given that this final cost ended up being more than double our original quote due to negligence and deceit on their team's behalf, we were left feeling cheated, and extremely unhappy with the service we received. Several of our items arrived damaged/broken, and after bringing this up with the movers, they blamed it on our packing skills and refused to compensate us for the damages despite their lengthy insurance policy to "protect your items" I will say, the ONLY part of this whole experience that we were pleased with were the actual teams that loaded/unloaded our belongings to/from our homes (reminder, they worked for an Los Angeles-based company called Evergreen moving - maybe look them up instead ). They were very polite, professional, they worked quickly, and did their best to make the experience as painless as possible, despite the fact that we were being raked over the hot coals by CCMG. After all of the inconveniences and gross negligence on their part...if you're still reading this...please do yourself a favor and just DONT use these guys. read more

I find it funny that Evan had no problem contacting me via phone calls, voicemails and emails a total of 19 times, but disappeared when I had more questions. Like a used car salesman. Call customer service he tells me. What a joke! Their attitude is simply put: You signed a contract! When we spoke on Wednesday, August 5th, at 4:00 pm, you told me that my furniture was in Florida and that it would deliver either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. And that I would get a call the day before it arrives and again 1 hour before it arrives. I just called All Points Moving For an update (Saturday, approximately 10:00 am), and the dispatch had the driver call me. The driver states he called me Friday afternoon. I have no missed calls and no voicemails. When I asked what number he dialed, he said, 904-509-3130. THATS NOT MY PHONE NUMBER! He preceded to tell me he spoke to someone who agreed that it would be delivered today. That's a total lie! Oh, and the guys delivering it, is a 3rd party!!!! So now, he tells me that it will be delivered between 2:00-4:00 pm today, and I now have to rearrange everything I had to do today. When he mentioned the total due upon delivery, I said, "Yes, but there is supposed to be a re-measure at the time of delivery because I'm disputing the extra 100 cubic sq ft charge of $350, he says he knows nothing about that. The dispatcher calls me and starts telling me that customers aren't allowed in the truck. I KNOW THIS! He also stated that he has no notes about my dispute. Yet your Customer Service told me you emailed them???? Maybe you should've copied the customer on that email? The furniture just arrived. Mine is the only order left on the truck and you can clearly see only 3 sections (each section is 100 cubic sq ft) used for my stuff! I'm being charged for 400 cubic sq ft, $350.00 plus $127.00 fuel surcharge! I was quoted 304 cubic sq ft! There were 4 men to load the truck and only 2 men here to unload the truck. They have no tools, stating someone else took them home. No masks, no gloves, no sanitizer! So I've had to lend them mine. My only concern is the fact that they're using cutting knives that I supplied them and not sure how that works out in regards to insurance, should they cut themselves? One box missing with my Cuisinart Airfryer and my Henkles kitchen knives. Damaged footboard, see pic. The guy assembling the bed, dragged one of the box springs over the surface of the footboard! As for the missing box, I'm being told it will be researched. When I asked the first guy how long has he been doing this, he replied, "A few months". And when I asked the second guy the same question, his reply was, "This is my second day"! Seriously? This has been just an absolute nightmare from the very beginning! Had I not lost my job due to Covid-19 closing down the company I worked for, I wouldn't even need movers. Looks like I definitely chose the wrong company to do business with. As often as I had to move while in the military, I never experienced the ignorance and negligence demonstrated by the movers of this company. They wrapped my furniture in plastic instead of blankets and showed no regard for the handling and storing of the furniture. These movers must have been pulled straight off the street or they just did not care about their job. Stay away from hiring this company and save yourself a lot of grief. The picture I posted is of my $1400 leather reclining sofa. The movers managed to rip the bottom of the sofa and pop off and lose the button controls for reclining. I would rather walk each box I shipped from VA to GA before I ever use this moving company again. The company tells any type of lie to get you to sign a contract and then played multiple games and gave me the run around on when they would deliver my things. In total to date I have taken off 5 days from work in the middle of a pandemic because CC Movers promised delivery. They also breached their contract that was signed that indicated 3-14 business days of delivery for East to East travel. They are three business days past that date. Additionally they just came to deliver my things and none of my stuff was on the truck that they delivered which means THEY HAVE NO IDEA at any point of time where your things are. This company completely violated my trust and those of many others. Every time I was supposed to have a delivery I would have to call them to inquire where my things were, at no point until today did CC Movers ever reach out to me proactively to let me know if things had changed or I had a revised delivery date. read more

This company is a full on scam. We were fooled by fake reviews. Do not use them! When I booked them they had great reviews and in a month between booking and moving it came to light that a lot of reviews were fake. 1) they are not a moving company, they are a broker. They will not be the ones moving your stuff. They don't communicate this upfront. 2) They LOW BALL you to rope you in. Brock was who we spoke to, told us that it would be $1500 to move our furniture from NJ to AZ because we had a "minimal move". We listed everything we had for him and he gave us a quote, he said it was a rough estimate and didn't need to be accurate. He also said that each flight of stairs was $75 but he would only charge us for 1 (we live on the 3rd floor). 3) they will jack up the price. I saw other people say that and thought "oh this is probably because they had more stuff" WRONG. They intentionally leave things off your quote (event if you tell them to add them) and hit you with it the day of. Our quote was $1500 and we wound up paying $3700. They call you a few days before the move, go over everything and then demand additional money (for us they asked for $800 additional deposit on the spot). They even told us that the day they pack the furniture they'll calculate cubic sf and cut costs if it's less. So we decided to cut out a BUNCH of stuff to help reduce cost. I called back and asked for the price to be revised, we cut out a bar, barstools, a bookshelf and a vacuum. Joseph told me that we didn't need to remove things they'd adjust the price accordingly. Guess what- they didn't even measure our stuff once loaded and insisted on the final cost even with less stuff. When they got to AZ- the moving company (cause remember cross country is a broker) had no idea that Brock promised us a free flight, demanded their payment PLUS an extra $75 for the 3rd flight of stairs. 4) their communication is horrible. Brock was our sales rep and he was sneaky and underhanded. Joseph was our "inventory" person and he was rude and unprofessional. He also tried to talk around us- at one point he said our cost would be less cause his program maps out the moving trucks cubic feet flat and we'd be able to stack furniture (CUBIC FEET MEASURES THE WHOLE SIZE WHICH MEANS ITS THE SAME IF YOU STACK IT OR LAY IT FLAT). The only one who was kind of nice was Annie in customer service. We also had put stuff could arrive no earlier than 6/3. I called on 6/2 (while driving to Arizona from NJ) and asked for an update cause I had heard nothing since they picked up our things on 5/23. 4 hours later I get a call from our movers that they're ready to drop off today (6/2) in a few hours. We had to run to our apartment, sign all the papers and get in to let the movers in because they were early. Hopefully this account will steer you away if you're considering. I contracted this company to make my move from New York to Colorado to begin with the only nice interaction I had was with the salesman that sold me the company as being responsible and efficient however they outsource the work to a company that was the least professional when they showed up to pick up everything after they packed everything they decided to increase the price of the move an additional $3200 when I questioned it my son told me that before they had even gotten to the house in their paperwork it said to charge $4000 when my original quote was $2300 so needless to say this is a set up to catch you and than make you pay whatever they want! They were so rude to tell me if I didn't pay they would put my s@@@ on the street! Well the nightmare doesn't end there. It took them literally 15 days to deliver my move even though they said it was 7-10 days for delivery and although I was told I would have the driver's information every time I called to inquire as to where was my move I was told that it was on the way and the driver would call the day before and they couldn't provide the drivers info. Finally I got the call I was waiting for but the driver said I had to shuttle a truck because he wouldn't come to the house to drop off lol.. therefore at last minute I had to go rent a truck and unload my own move after paying $4000 needless to say they were several items that are damaged! and a table missing.. Cross Country Moving Group I really don t like giving a negative feedback on a company, however, this one deserves it. I hired Cross Country Moving Group out of Del Ray, Florida. They offer a great holiday special to move my goods from Connecticut to North Carolina. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. They are not a moving company. They provided a low quote to lock me in, and, they are nothing more then a broker to make a sale. I went with them, and at the time of the move, they hired a third party moving company, Stop and Move, which increase the moving price by 3x. They lock you in and provide a terrible service. My goods we're picked up and stored in NJ for some reason, and I had to pay cash to get it delivered. Some of my items went with the next delivery in FL, they dropped a 100 year old antique off the lift that fell three feet to the road causing much damage. Many other item were damaged. When you report damage, there customer service department are extremely rude, they will tell you that you can't get the items fixed until an insurance agent looks at it.This can take up to 120 days. What a joke. Go with a reputable company, these guys are fly by night, no experience, and, the goal is to rip you off. I reported them to the BBB, and was offer a $50. credit. They are just in it to make money, tell you lies, and, have you locked in to work with them. Bottom line, avoid them. They are a bunch of con artists period, they won't help you, and are very rude. This is a broker company, which is not disclosed. They do NOT abide by their contract. They lowballed me on the estimated cubic feet of my inventory. Therefore, I now have to pay an extra $5 per cubic foot for my inventory, even though I don't add ANYTHING. It will cost an additional $1000. Maybe more. I called them to question this. Their answer was they could abide by the contract and only load whatever fit in their original cubic foot estimate. Um, right? As if I'm gonna leave half my belongings behind?!?! I have NEVER been so cheated in my life.0 Stars if I could. We are a military family with my husband on active duty. We got orders 1 week before to move across the country from CA to FL. We were quoted $3800 for a one bedroom move (we had the equivalent of a loveseat, a bed, bed frame, nightstands, computer desk setup, and boxes.) and paid an $1838 Deposit. When the movers came, they charged us $7500 for the same move saying "Don't worry, Its a good thing the government is going to pay for it." We didn't have more than what I originally marked in our quote. Then they "LOST" our $1838 Deposit and we ended up paying our deposit again just to get our stuff back. It Gets worse. In order to be reimbursed by the military we need weigh tickets which was included in our contract THAT THEY FAILED TO PROVIDE. I had to call and beg the subcontractor of their subcontractor to get one for us so that we may be reimbursed for what little we could at this point. They had to charge us 200 dollars for it, which was never reimbursed although they reassured us that it would be provided. BUT IT GETS WORSE. Not only during the stress of moving across the country, being royally screwed out of $2000, and not being provided our weigh tickets which could have caused us ZERO reimbursement, and paying another $3000 dollars upon pickup as if we just have that money laying around, but it took them 3 months to ship our stuff, and all of our furniture was damaged. We slept on the floor for 3 months, spent money re-buying the essentials, and living out of the backpacks we took in our car because Cross country decided to charge us $9,000 for our move on a one-income, military Paycheck. IT GETS WORSE. They never reimbursed us for the $2038 we overpaid for the deposit and the weigh ticket. They decided instead to offer us a "Settlement" of 200 dollars for the weigh ticket in exchange to keep us quiet, instead of a reimbursement. I would strongly recommend not using this company! This company is moving BROKER meaning they find the company that will actually be picking up your stuff. ** Something to note: if you request a delivery date, on your contract it will read "first available delivery date" meaning absolutely nothing. Basically your stuff will potentially arrive anywhere from 2-3 weeks of this date.** The salesperson did not relay this message before i signed the contract. Do not give this company your business. I had an extremely bad experience with them and wanted to warn others. They are dishonest and will say anything to make a sale. They "booked" my move out for a specific date and time, and said they'd make an exception to their normal way of doing things which is booking a window. They texted me and called me nonstop to put down my deposit, and once I did they just ghosted me so I thought it was actually a scam. Then I found out that when they passed my contract on to the local people hired for the job, they did not book the specific date and time they had promised me over the phone. This was awful because I don't live where my stuff was being stored anymore, so my friend had to take off work to come meet them. They're sketchy and dishonest, super disorganized and untrustworthy. Watch out for David Van Eys was the agent who lied to me and screwed me over. He had said my move was so much smaller than the minimum moving size they were required to book, that my final cost would be at most what the estimate stated. I was provided an estimate of $3400 when the company they contracted out came to pick up my stuff (once i can't get my deposit back and I'm ready to move) The cost went up to $5600. I can't tell who's timeframe they go off of, as to when items will be delivered my load was picked up 8/3 I was told It would get me by the 11th or 13th of August, I didn't get it until September 1st. I hired cross country moving company- my items were picked up by cobra vans- I believe AmericaMovers delivered my things. We all went a week not knowing where my stuff was and having the wrong number for the driver . I paid additional money to have certain items packaged And secure; they arrived broken. I have a TV missing from one of the boxes . I paid more , I got broken stuff, I have one less tv, I waited longer than I would've ever anticipated and received exceptionally poor customer service with no follow up. SCAM and MOVING FRAUD ALERT!!! Update (6/18): I learned that to get your complaint against this broker resolved on the federal national registry / database and to have fraudulent and deceptive companies like CC Mover exposed, please use the right channels with the BBB complaint process and the FMCSA complaint database. That will get you much further. After assessing all of our property damage post-move and how this company handled everything because we contracted a mover through this broker, my family has decided on taking this company through litigation and a public relations campaign to expose their deceitful business practices. We had a nightmarish experience and lost over $12K+ worth (cost to replace our damaged property), as the majority of it is water-damaged during the move. This company is a complete through-and-through "scammer", and only the select few who have used their "moving brokerage" service know this. We are also out about $10K in paying for our self-relocation because of this scam as we overpaid their contracted movers because of space/relocation and moving costs. Their subcontractor was also careless carrying our things in our new home and handling and reassembling our things to which they didn't complete. Here is a snippet of the letter I wrote to their subcontractor, Streamline Relocation Services, equally responsible and accountable for the negligent handling of our things resulting in the splitting up of our property to save their interstate freight and storage costs but this was not done without gross negligence and water damage. Here's a part of the letter that we warned them there would be dire consequences if they did not respond nor propose a reasonable settlement towards the damage/replacement of our property. "We were NOT included in any of the decision-making process of splitting our property move and truck shipment into two different stages, trucks or delivery dates. We DID NOT authorize this. We were told after the fact. Nor was I informed along the way in any kind before our move was in progress or that our property would be stored in an intermediate storage container or facility before our things were to be delivered in Texas. This is both a violation of trust and what had been verbally agreed upon by Streamline (the moving carrier) and me. I depended on Cross Country and Streamline to handle and take care of my move in one stage and not to store anything in any warehouse or let water damage occur. *At least 40-50% of our things which had been moved had water damage and were handled with gross negligence resulting in scuffed, torn, broken parts and missing things. Gross negligence is a legal term which means that there is no liability waiver that covers the deliberate and what appears to have been intentional mishandling/storage of our property. We even had a cockroach appear in one of the opened containers from their LV storage. One of their movers told us to sue Streamline Moving in Nevada for everything, so this came from one of their very own! *My family accepted/received the first shipment on the following Saturday, June 22nd at 6pm. 6pm? WTF. Who arranges for a delivery this late for a family with 2 young children?!? Was any of this properly managed or coordinated? I think not. *As the Gonzalez family, we had waited patiently four more days for the items promised the previous Tuesday, and we received them at around 6pm on the evening of the 22nd. The movers (subcontractors as All State Relocation Services) immediately demanded payment in full for half the moving fee without a basic inspection of the items, for over +$5K due, which I had compensated for a total price of over $10.5K. I do not believe that Streamline deserves any compensation for the negligent and intentional abuse/handling and subcontracted transportation of our boxes, furniture, and goods. That's when all the initial delivery problems happened. Your subcontractor movers scratched our walls and didn't fully organize, nor assemble every major items and left after midnight. This was not part of the agreed upon contract. This also is known as non-performance against a contractual obligation/term for not delivering assembled items. We did not receive the last and final shipment until Monday, July 1st, and note that this is nearly 1 week later, also with damaged furniture which will be on the claim. The entire time, there was no communication to us, until we called the driver repeatedly. We are expecting financial compensation for the stress and emotional problems you had caused my family, in addition to the financial-- so this is not just a claim. So, we want our money back for the move because Streamline was grossly negligent, uncaring and did not perform to any minimal level of competence on it's contractual obligations." I visited my friend who was moving and we found this company to help us. I asked many friends about moving companies since I was not familiar with it and one friend recommended Cross Country Moving Group since it was nearby in the area where my friend stayed. Regardless of the bad reviews they've had previously, we decided to give them a chance and called them for more information such as rates, the whole process, and dates. They were a little over my friend's budget, however they worked with us to service our minimal needs. The guy on the phone was super friendly and very helpful. He picked up the phone right away and gave us as much details as he could. The crew arrived on time and got to work, packing up the boxes right away. They gave me an estimated time of 4 to 5 hours to pack up and unload my friend's furniture and other belongings, but they did it in a shorter amount of time, which was 3 and a half hours. As we arrived to my friend's new place and unpacked the boxes, we were surprised to see nothing was damaged unlike the photos we saw on the reviews previously. I did not want to give one star. I wish I did my homework. This company does not deserve any. The mover came 4 hours late the day of pick up. It was almost 8PM when they started to take my things out of my home. It was after 10PM when they finished. I did not sign up for that. I moved in December 2020 across country FL to CA with 4 pieces of furniture and 23 big boxes. They damaged all pieces of furniture, the dressing table was beyond repair. The boxes were all crushed and torn open and hastily taped together. One box has half the contents missing. It looked like someone went through my boxes and taped them back together. I am missing many, many items. They "lost" two of my boxes. The driver told me he was embarrassed to unload my stuff. He signed my receipts to acknowledging the damage and my loss of items, even gave me his phone number if I needed a statement. I called the mover's office on the day of delivery, I was told to file a complaint. I did and with pictures. They told me it took up 4 months to process and then the company stopped communication. I was told by Brenda to "allow the process" No acknowledgment, no response to phone calls, emails, etc. I waited a full 6 months for an "investigation" where I was then offered no apology, no acceptance of liability but they wanted to "be fair" because I FELT they did something wrong. I was offered $91.00 NINETY ONE DOLLARS but I had to sign a confidentiality waiver and not post a public review the company. They went on to name as many as they could including Yelp and BBB. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! I was quoted $1,299 to move 8 items + 5 medium boxes, all within a distance of 27 miles. Everything is clearly listed on the agreement. When they came yesterday for the move, they demanded that I pay $2,400, almost double the amount, claiming that the bed - a king-size that is listed on the contract as a king-size - and the sofa will require more space than the one quoted. I have a copy of the contract, they have a copy of the contract with the items listed, but I was told that the original quote was NOT based on items, but on space, and that originally they thought it would require 300 cubic feet, but now, seeing the items, 800 cubic feet is what they will have to charge me for. Let me reiterate that nothing was added to that list. And they have the nerve to blame a DOT software for the discrepancy. When I said, if that is the case, I will have to cancel, they used profanities, and threatened that if I don't move forward with their new exorbitant new price, they will keep my $615 deposit. It is a culture of lies and deceit in that company. Supervisors, managers, a so-called quality control, they all speak from that same script once they secure your deposit. From the beginning, this has been a smooth process. Every person I've encountered along the way, from the agent who set up the move through getting my possessions loaded on the truck, has been helpful and cooperative. The guys who actually packed up everything did a great job and were easygoing, which I appreciated because I was pretty stressed. When they came the lead mover was kind, respectful and methodical, as was his helper. I hope never to have to move again, but if I do my experience was so positive I would choose them, and recommend them, in a heartbeat. I feel blessed. They gave me an initial quote at 400 cubic ft. The quote was the best on the market. I measured every box and piece of furniture in my house and made sure it came in at least 15 cubic ft short (385 cubic ft) of the 400, otherwise they charge you more. Move in day comes, I know I can afford the listed price, they get to the house, take pictures, etc. Then inform me that their office has software or can tell from the pictures I will need 550 cubic ft, and the price is going to increase around $1000. Little did they know I measured everything, I tell them that their software was incorrect, they try telling me I'm wrong, so I request them to measure every item in the house before loading. This would have taken an hour, my guess is they pay their guys somewhere between $15-30/hr. There were 3 guys. Had they measured everything and upcharged me the $1,000 they would have still made money, but they instead after telling me I'm wrong multiple times concede and say okay we will just charge you your original price. On top of that I had called them 1 day prior to confirm when they would get in, they were 1 day late, I also asked them several times about hidden fees and they told me several times there were none, and based on what I told them I had for boxes & furniture the quote wouldn't change. Also when our items arrived the boxes were squished, and apparently if you box the items they won't repay you for your losses even with insurance. So you have to pay extra for them to box things for your items in boxes to be insured. We also had a broken end table. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, unless you want to pay more the day of move out. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY They promised 5-6 movers to help. Only 2 showed up wearing flip flops and swim trunks and blocked the road with their truck, refusing to park in our open field. They refused to lift certain items that were already agreed on to move, and said that they needed an extra $6,000 to move our stuff that was already listed. The movers are subcontracted thru Cross Country and dont care about any service or customer satisfaction. When we refused to pay them the extra $6K and tried to get ahold of our Cross County Agent, they straight up left without saying a word to us or loading anything. This company is horrible! Do not use them!! I spoke with Kyler Douglas to get my quote and I asked him multiple times to FaceTime so he could see my belongings. He assured me that he's had so much experience in doing this and a computer program that is extremely accurate in providing a quote. I should have listened to my instinct that something was wrong. The move was scheduled to start between 3-6pm. They didn't show up until 1030pm! The driver said he was just told about the job and had not expected it. As he looked at the items to be moved he quoted me DOUBLE of what Kyler told me. Bait and switch. That's how Kyler and Cross Country Moving works. At this point I didn't have a choice. Kyler also told me I could use the same credit card that I used to make a deposit and the driver told me he would only accept a cashiers check or money order. I spoke to the drivers boss for over an hour on the phone and all he said was "do you want to move or not?" I was stuck as I needed to vacate my house. I finally negotiated a Zelle deposit and paid the rest the next day. They finished packing up at 130am!! I called and emailed Kyler Douglas multiple times and he wouldn't return either. I had a call from Elizabeth Adams in the customer service department and she told me I cannot speak to Kyler and she would look into it. I never heard back from her again. Kyler is a liar and coward. This company is classic bait and switch and only cares about stealing money from people. I was told my things would be delivered in 2 days and it took a week with me calling the driver everyday to finally get it. I'm missing a box of electronic equipment, and i have someone else's box of art. My boxes were all banged up and nothing was cared for. Multiple broken items. We did not realize till later that this is a broker and you end up dealing with several different groups of people. The price changed as time went on from what I was originally told. At 1st it was one price for entire move, then it changed even though we were told that their quality assurance man wrote down all the items and gave us a quote just a day or so before the movers came. By the time it all arrived, we were informed that we owed more than we thought. In addition, when the movers came into my home, one sat down on my sofa without even asking. Then when they came into my new home, the same guy asked to use the bathroom. I said, "no' since he had not been polite to even ask if he could sit on my couch earlier. They were not clad in professional uniforms either and this made me uncomfortable too. Looked like thugs on the street corner. Very unprofessional! When I asked for a receipt upon them leaving with all my belongings, driver said, " oh, it will be on your email." Then when arriving at the new home and paying another payment we did not know we owed, again he had no paper receipt to provide to me. They should have a carbon copy to present to us. Advice: go to yellow pages and look up local people with the BBB label proof and ask if they do long haul moving. read more

We were not sure if the movers were going to be at our new place in time and we kept in contact with them as we drove across the USA. Finally we got confirmation that they were going to be there on the scheduled day and that was great. Annie was great in assisting us. The only negative I would have to say is that there was several items broken, 1 lamp that never made it and I have to file a claim. To be honest, we checked Yelp after we agreed with this company about the transportation. And we were shocked and very upset, so we began to expect our things to be broken and we would have to pay twice as much. But we have already paid the deposit, so we did not change the company. My husband and I moved from California to Utah during the holiday week of December 27th. We don't have a lot of furniture, because we lived in a 1 bedroom apartment (queen size bed + mattress, middle sofa, several bedside tables and chairs, 9 medium boxes from Home Depot and few more not large things). So we were told about $1800 for this. And in the end, everything went just fine! The only drawback was that the movers did not arrive in the evening of December 27, but in the morning of December 28, but for us it was not at all critical, so I will not remove the star for this delay. The delivery was faster than expected, we were told that it might take about 2 weeks due to the holidays, but the furniture was delivered to us in 5 days. Absolutely everything came whole and not broken! Only a couple of boxes were dented, but nothing inside was broken! Also, in addition to our packaging, the movers wrapped the furniture in their special blankets, which we were pleasantly surprised. Of course, such fragile things as a TV, a computer, mirrors, dishes, paintings, etc., we put with us in our suv. Perhaps we were just lucky, or we just correctly calculated the size of the cargo, which is why they did not take from us a single extra cent, and put everything that easily breaks with us.
