This was our third local move with Two Men & A Truck, and we hired them again because our previous experiences had been excellent. Unfortunately, this move was handled very differently. Our move included a dining room set and a baby grand piano. When the crew reached the piano, they realized they didn't have the proper tools to remove the legs. They called for assistance, but the second set of tools didn't work either. After time continued to run, we were told the piano would have to be rescheduled because the crew needed to get to their next job. We paid $666 of an approximately $800 quoted move, yet the piano wasn't moved. Later that day, the company sent a new estimate of $450 to move only the piano. Although they waived the travel fee, they still expected us to pay additional labor costs resulting from their own lack of preparation. I contacted customer service several times and even offered to split the additional cost. There was no flexibility and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience of having to rearrange our schedules for a second appointment. The movers were courteous throughout the process, so my disappointment is with management's response--not the crew. Mistakes happen, but how a company resolves them matters. I had an excellent moving experience with this company. My movers were Traevon, Timothy and Laquoine. They were very polite and took the time to confirm what they were moving and what was staying (to go to storage another day). They worked quickly and very well together so that the job was done in half the time I was quoted! So I saved about $300 that way. I tipped them handsomely as I felt they truly deserved it. I have moved a lot in my life (unfortunately) and used companies that claim to have the best rates, but you get what you pay for. Absolutely the worst! They literally charged me $1000 more than promised. We moved half our stuff ourselves as we closed on our new home a month before we actually moved in . We ended up taking many things ourselves and giving much of our furniture to our buyers and charity. We had them come back to give us a second quote and a reassessment. Kenny our contact told us it would be a much easier move and should be cheaper. Long story short, they sent a small truck and could not finish on the first day. Just completed a move from Boynton Beach to Melbourne. The physical move itself was ok, but there buisiness practices are unethical and unprofessional. The initial estimate for the move was $4174.66 with a written contract price not to exceed $4,474.66. With no prior warning or mention of any issues, after the move was completed we were presented with a revision to home estimate of $5,424.66 to pay. After questioning this with the representative from the company, he said the move took longer than anticipated. I stated that everything that was moved was present when the estimate was completed and nothing was added. I was offered a 5% discount and required to pay the new estimate. I am so very disappointed!! I booked my move weeks in advance . signed the document and got an email confirmation. I called the morning of the move to confirm pick up time and the receptionist said they were running late due to the holiday and theyd be there around 11. No problem .....then at 11:30 I called again and they inform me that they don't have me on their schedule and can not do my move until June 3rd. I had to be out of that house that day!! So far I scheduled a move for today and no one called to confirm by yesterday so I called. Was told by rep they would be starting at 8:15 and would call 30 before. I called office at 8:35 to be told I "misheard" that information and they told me something different. She then said they were on their way and as I was speaking hung up on me. Surprise surprised she didn't answer when I called back. I will update if they show up and someone in management can explain their poor communication. I don't think I would want to trust a company with this kind of nasty response to a customer. Update - I was very impressed with Greg and Rickey who came out to move me and my daughter. They were professional, had outstanding work ethic and were just great. They made up for the beginning of the day. I would recommend Two Men and a Truck but I would ask for Greg and Rickey for your job. And my advice for management - based on the phone call that started my morning- I wanted to make others aware of the way I was treated. The person I spoke to was rude and hung up on me. She was not the person I confirmed with on Friday but was sure I misunderstood the time quote. She was obnoxious. That's not a way to treat your customers. Absolutely a dreadful experience. The movers arrived 90 minutes late after I specifically booked an early morning reservation. They were abysmally slow. One guy said he wasn't prepared to move so many boxes and had to call help. Since they were late starting, they were still working at lunchtime. They stopped and took a lunch break, but were still on the clock, so I ended up paying for that delay. All the guys griped and complained about having to climb stairs all day and how heavy everything was. They are movers! Isn't that what they do? They broke 3(!) of my bookcases and a chest of drawers. They promised to send a furniture repair guy. 30 days later they never did. They promised a lot of things, but did nothing but take my money and beat up my belongings. We used Two Men and a Truck for 3 moves and while they mostly did a good job, our final interaction with them on damage to an original piece of art has shown them to be less than ethical. For our initial move of our furniture from our home to storage, they packed and wrapped all furniture and art, all of which was held in storage for 18 months. When we moved into a new home in February 2021, they moved the stored items to the home. We finally got to unpack the original artwork stored 18 months prior, in April, when ready to hang it. To our dismay we found that they had taped a piece of cardboard box directly onto the face of the painting!! In unpacking, we found that removing the box was taking the paint off the canvas causing irreparable damage. We sent photos of the problem to their representative and followed up with him multiple times as he tried to get management to contact us. Three months later we have heard nothing, and have now filed a BBB complaint. We will see if that helps to shake loose a very unethical management team. read more

Scheduled a move on 12/22/22 with the Delray Beach office and it was a disaster! Several items never made it on the truck and because I was told it was full I trusted them. Called the office and spoke to Christian to ask how they were going to rectify leaving my items I contracted them to move and was told that I should have called them before the truck left. Then was told that they did not have an additional truck or movers to help that day. I told them I was going to get a UHAUL and they assured me they could load the remaining items. Later, I was told by Joshua that the UHAUL would be loaded and offloaded in Naples. That never happened. At the drop off location, one of the movers had twisted or sprained his ankle and could not complete the move. No additional help was sent, and I was also called and told not to help and not to get in the truck. Needless to say myself and the other mover hauled my belongings up the stairs and got it done. I had severe bruising from it and all of my furniture had significant damages. My credit card was charged over $2000 and due to my dissatisfaction after numerous emails, phone calls, a letter to corporate, and asking for half my money back, a $150 refund was issued. I was told an additional check for the damages to my furniture would also arrive, but it never did. Do NOT hire this company, as the level of professionalism is not there. They don't even deserve 1 star...The only good thing about the move was the mover who actually helped me. We used Two Men and a Truck a couple weeks ago. For the most part the move went well. The movers were in time and were fast. The only issue is they dropped the footboard for a Queen bed which caused a deep gauge. The movers were upset with themselves for dropping it and admitted to their mistake. If it had been an old bed frame it wouldn't have been a big deal but it was a new bed frame. Initially I got a couple calls from manager asking for photos but after sending them I never heard back. We're supposed to arrive 8-9am, arrived at 930. Paid by the hour and moved slowly. The two men did not work in tandem. One kept stopping to have me sign additional paperwork. They were not careful with our furniture. Did not wrap our wooden day bed frame, therefore now has many scratches. Had to stop to pick up snack in route to new home, did not take time off bill. Charged for 5 rolls of tape, but none of them were new rolls to start. Lost (?) a piece of furniture. Rather rude and arrogant. The manager was very not receptive regarding any of our issues when we called. Said he would investigate and get back to us. He did not. Learned that they are franchised. If I could give 0 stars I would...Two Men and a Truck did not adequately describe valuation options during the booking/bidding process. I booked my move with Two Men and a Truck thru email with Customer Service. During that process Customer Service never explained the options for valuation or even that there were multiple options for valuation of my belongings. In my Pre-Move letter (the only correspondence received prior to movers showing up at my house). It does not say anything about a $.60 per pound reimbursement. In fact it says: "Damages - Although our movers will be as careful as possible, from time to time damages occur. If damage is caused by our service, Two Men and a Truck reserves the right to repair the damage(s) in question. If we determine that a damage cannot be repaired, we reserve the right to either replace or compensate (Actual Cash Value) for the damage." Two men and a truck did not do EITHER of those in my case. They do have a section of the pre-move letter that talks about if your valuation is more than $100 per pound to talk to your customer service representative. My items were not valued at more than $100 per pound so I didn't think to discuss it. There is a pretty big difference between a valuation of $.60 per pound and $100 per pound. It seems like this section of the Pre-Move letter should say if you think any of your items are valued at more than $.60 per pound talk to your representative. While they do provide documentation on the day of the move that apparently does explain the $.60 per pound. That is NOT the right time for this explanation because a change would change the cost estimate of your move. I believe this company is using these shady communications in the Pre-move to provide lower bids so that customers book them. The reality is that once the mover is in your home - you aren't going to switch movers. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!!! read more

Beware! Initially all went well (so well I gave $140 in tips to the moving guys), until we realized that they LOST (or someone took) my 86-year-old mother's desktop computer. After two weeks of conversations, the owners decided that since I hadn't bought "replacement value" insurance, they'd give me $7.50 for the $359 computer that THEY lost but WE have to replace... not to mention all the data that we unfortunately had on the hard drive that's gone forever or in the wrong people's hands. And by the way, they also broke a large glass vase and a ceramic serving piece in the move. Think twice about this franchised location... or at least take out the expensive insurance policy - the people who work there are decent human beings; but the owners are nasty, cold-hearted, and terrible customer service people. Of course I understand that things happen. But I don't understand not taking responsibility or owning accountability, and thinking that the insurance I purchased (based on a prior good experience) allows them to walk away responsibility-free from a bad business outcome. Hiding behind the "fine print" is not the same as doing the right thing, or conducting business with integrity. Not professionals at all and grossly negligent. I never write reviews but feel I must warn anyone considering hiring a mover. There are professional movers and then there is Two Men and a Truck. Also, note that many of the Two Men and a Truck locations are franchised and some are commonly owned. When hiring them you are getting two men but not two professional movers. I hope these set of facts are enough to have you think going elsewhere. Hired them for a simple move of only a few items. Sent pictures to them before booking it. Bridgett indicated I needed 3 men because the dining room table and bases were too big and heavy. So 3 movers are on my order form. When delivering items, only 2 men. I asked where 3rd person was. They said it's only them. They get the easy items off and then comes the dining room base and table. They don't secure the base to the dolly and because the one mover is so weak (more on that below) he cannot control it coming down the ramp and it falls and cracks. Then after that they get the glass table out. The one mover is so weak he could not lift it and I had to help moving it in (I have pictures of this). The other mover kept complaining to me how the weak mover was so bad and he asked that I send an email to Gino, which is their Operations Manager. I sent the message to Gino and have the text messages from the one good mover to prove it. They claim that the waiver and release of liability gets them out of any responsibility. That would be true if their is not gross negligence. I have so many facts and the evidence to support it. So I will deal with them in small claims court. Having said all that, ask yourselves if you think saving a few dollars is really worth it. You are not getting professional movers for your money. Initially, my first phone call from the lady who answers the phone at this location seemed okay, (Kayla), but shortly afterwards I realized she lacked the necessary communication skills because she stated everything wrong (important details) from our prior phone conversation and please lets not forget the "management team", (nasty, cold-hearted and scammers) who could careless. In any event, this company cancelled the move, even after I was willing to give them additional money to arrive at this destination, and then the nasty guy from the operations dept. decides to say "forget my crew showing up" and abruptly hangs up the phone. Recommended by a friend, was impressed when we got our quote and it was downhill from there. The three guys that moved our furniture were quick, but very careless. As a result, we had an armoire dropped with 6" piece of wood chipped out, scratches and paint transfer on my dining room table along with burn mark on my server. There were several other pieces of furniture damaged. They did not wrap all the furniture. We filed a damage report and never heard from anyone for 8 days. This was the worst moving experience of my life! One of the movers broke my 45 inch flat screen TV and they were supposed to call me the next day and I waited almost 2 weeks for a call ..I had to call them,! Just for them to tell me they do it by weight and they were going to give me $35 for my television. There was absolutely no empathy at all. Beware of the fine print because they're only going to pay you so many cents per pound so even if they ruin a $1,000 TV or object they're only going to give you pennies per pound of what they damage. That is just bad business. Never again! Along with that once I opened up my boxes they had broken tons of beautiful ceramic decor that were fragile and they were all smashed in pieces ! they were not careful with them at all of course I'm not getting any money back for that either.Awful read more

The gentlemen that moved my stuff were great. Not impressed with anything else. The service was over priced. The salesman Tim that I spoke to over the phone was a scumbag liar. I'm surprised they allow lying salesman to work for them. Seems unethical. You can definitely find a cheaper company. Broke our brand new, expensive flat screen TV, filed a damage complaint, and now they seem to be avoiding my emails and calls after they didn't get back to me when they said they would (over a week ago now). I think your experience with Two Men and a Truck GREATLY depends on which team you get for your move. Ours unceremoniously dumped items in boxes, broke several things, and just draped the TV with a blanket. Ok, we thought, surely they know enough to be careful with a nice TV. But it apparently had then been placed underneath or against something heavy in the truck, and the screen didn't work when we next turned it on. We had to be out of our apartment same day, and they obviously weren't prepared for the amount of stuff we had-- though it was all listed on the quote-- and we ended up having to pay for a hotel room so they could store our stuff overnight and finish the next morning. They acted like not charging us for storing overnight was generous, when they should have brought a bigger team and bigger truck in the first place and been much more careful with our stuff. Example: One guy kept banging into the door jams & he couldn't put my bed together so another guy said he'd help; well the 2 geniuses put the side boards backwards & upside down. They didn't put a couch where I wanted saying it wouldn't fit; in reality too lazy to move it. One guy played his Latin music which I didn't appreciate; preferred he concentrate on working. It took 20x to get a hold of someone after maybe the 30th call I get a hold of someone asking where are the movers at. Gino answers and says oh sorry we have been working on the truck we have oil leaks we have tried calling you to let you know. (That was a LIE!!!!) I had my phone glued to my hand since 8am waiting for their call! They NEVER called!! When asking when they are looking to be over to move us he says in about an hour. I call back in a hour to find out where they are it is now 10:30am, he response we are still on the same boat we are not sure it can take 5 min it can take 2 hours. I am in total panic mode now and I cannot take a chance to wait another 2 hours let alone even know if they would be able to move me that day. It's 1pm by now I had to call last minute movers to come move me right away. Thankful to All my sons for coming out last minute to move me and Did fabulous job. When calling two men and a truck back to ask for my $280 deposit they said you cancelled us we are not crediting you the deposit. I said you guys never showed up! The contract was from 830a-930am. It was 1pm no one ever showed up you had truck issues and decided to play waiting games with us. We have 2 kids all our belongings were ready outside we can't wait all day to not even know if we will be moved that day. They refused to give our deposit back. They gave me updates throughout their entire journey to California, met the estimated time frame, and provided world class service. They wrapped and unwrapped every item as requested and upon my arrival, they setup my new home. They made the moving process easy and took the stress off of my family and I. DO NOT...and I REPEAT DO NOT hire these people. The two guys that came were very unprofessional and damaged a lot of my items. The one guy kept yelling at the other guy for clumsily breaking one piece of our furniture, while they both dropped another item on the stairs. They didn't even protect half of my furniture with padding of any type. They just threw it on the truck! After promising to us that the item that was broken beyond repair would be replaced as it was their fault, we were told that we were given false information. Then I didn't hear back from them after that. So I'm basically screwed! Didn't even ask me to file a claim. So much for customer service!!!
