I got all my paperwork finished beforehand so check-in was a breeze. The facility is extremely clean and sterile and I swear, the ladies at the front are some of the nicest people you'll every meet. In fact, that trend continues to all the staff! I'll admit, I hate going to the dentist. I don't like my face being touched with a drill and while I practice good hygiene, I grind my teeth so I always have a chipped tooth or something to fix. I called this practice to make sure they would accept my insurance. Not only did they accept it, they were very up front with coverages so I literally had no surprises. My particular issue was I chipped a molar, which I told them over the phone. No, problem and they accepted me within 2 days. Upon getting seated, the assistance was extremely fast, very friendly and knowledgeable about exactly what needed to be done. Xrays were completed within minutes. It might have been even quicker but I'm a former comedian so I prolonged the visit by setting up jokes; which they humored me in laughing. Soon after the doc came in and did a quick looksie and found another issue. Dr Steven Bates was about the nicest person I've ever met and quick to work. I said "hey doc, tell me something good while I know it's bad." His response was "this is a fast fix but the other tooth we'll have to refer you to someone that can do a root canal." Still his demeanor was professional, caring and to the point. What I really liked is he gave me the price up front so again, no surprises. He numbed me up and within 10 minutes that darn high pitched drill was whizzing in my ear. Truth be told, he was extremely gentle, even with the needle and the procedure. I was astounded by the speed at which he operated and lack of pain or general discomfort during the procedure. Literally it was only 20 minutes or so. Now I realize all cases are different but fixing a tooth always drives up my anxiety so one can imagine how happy I was it was completed before I knew it. The most humorous situation was I kept thinking I needed a seatbelt. Anyways, badda bing.. I was done in a jiffy. While I can't speak to a normal cleaning I am extremely satisfied with all aspects of my visit and it was very reasonably priced. This staff is very professional and there's no upselling, procrastination or pain. De Steven Bates is a very competent individuals which is reassuring when teeth and drills are involved.
